The idea from onset that I understand by not selling your bitcoin is simply you imitating holding bitcoin for the long term and not sell at a low price or even when in panic. The idea is that bitcoin will continue to grow and selling your bitcoin now will mean missing out on a bigger price prospect of it. The Bitcoin whole idea is to make sure you never stay out without Bitcoin, even when selling when the price is high, prioritize not selling all your Bitcoin for money because the price will continue to grow.

I got a little confused when I saw "No" instead of "Know" well I'll see it as a typo cause it happens to me sometimes but you're right. I don't believe anyone aside Satoshi would hold forever without selling but investors should know the rightful time to make withdrawals, some people get it wrong by selling at lose which isn't right.
 An investment is supposed to produce good returns not lose, although some people make more profit than what they put into Bitcoin but the disadvantage is future regrets cause they took profits too early, mostly when they've not held up to the bitcoin circle.

I believe all investors know how long they plan to hold there bitcoin before they can start selling. Those that are investing for a long term should have an anticipated timeline before they can think of selling. As for short term holders they may sell within a short term whether they are in profit or not. Don’t be confused by the words. Everyone has the right to do whatever they want with their Bitcoin because it’s their own money. But people believe that Bitcoin will continue to increase in value over the long term, which is why they advise people not to sell their Bitcoin today, because they might miss some opportunities in the future. If you sell today and see the market doing well in the next few years, you might find it difficult to buy back after the price increased.
