Odds on Hall should be even worse as I doubt anyone would give him any chances of winning. He would have had some chances if he was from other combat sport, and his coaches could try to readjust his striking to boxing. I have seen many examples of professional boxer or striker fighting against professional athlete, but not a fighter, and outcome was always the same. What else than a loss we can expect if Hall had only 1 boxing fight (which he lost) and even it was not against a boxer.

Yeah, it should be worst, but odds maker are somewhat lenient as if giving Hall still a chance to win in this fight.  Grin

But for sharp eyes like you, this could be the trap that bookies are laying. But in any case, I don't know if there are a person that will bet on Hall, unless he is close to him. Haven't seen any hype though on social media as this fight is just about a week from today.

I didn't know there was a separate thread for this fight. Thanks to fullfitlarry for pointing me to it. I thought it's a bit of a niche event that might go unnoticed, but I see there is some interest.

From a post from another forum (credit to acroman08) I hear that the odds are as follows:
Tommy Fury: x1.27
Eddie Hall: x3.50

This is more less what I would expect. I even thought young Fury to be more of a favourite, I imagined the odds for him winning could go below x1.20.
One thing to know about Eddie Hall is that he likes challenges and won't go down easily. He's not the type of guy who would show up just for an easy payday. I remember him having an mma fight against another former strongman, Mariusz Pudzianowski. Pudzianowski's mma record at the time was 17 wins and 9 losses, while for Eddie, that was his first mma fight. Needless to say, Eddie was a massive underdog, but he still managed to get a TKO win.
Can he do the same in boxing? Probably not, but he's not without a chance.

To me, these kinds of events sound more like a circus than serious boxing, but it still seems interesting for entertainment. Eddie is a monster, and Tommy is a middleweight in comparison. Tommy has the technique, sure, but if Eddie lands a punch, he'll cut him in half. And the fact that there's no weight limit is crazy. I'm surprised Eddie already has some experience, even if the fights are strange, or at least they are to me. Tommy has a decent record, but he's never faced someone so huge... I don't know if they have some kind of contract up their sleeve that's making them fight just for the show.

Their Height is close to each other, but their weight and Body mass are far apart, at least in my opinion. Anyway,  Eddie Hall had an exhibition match in boxing in the past, but he never really had a proper background in boxing, so no one is really expecting him to be good or even close to Tommy Fury's boxing skills.

No problem mate,

If others are interested to see how Eddie Hall's boxing is,

Those two looks like midget against Eddie Hall, there's no denying that the big guy has power, but we will have to see if that can land on Fury. Or Tommy just go and circle around and try to avoid Hall and gets him tired.

Tommy himself is a lousy boxer. It's just that Eddie Hall is built differently. But, yeah, look at those arms. Those arms must be packed with so much power they could send Tommy to sleep. But the problem must be whether they will land perfectly or not. I doubt Eddie's speed. Other than his slow punches which I believe Tommy could easily dodge or parry, it seems he can only throw a handful of powerful ones. The rest would be as slower as they are much less powerful. Those arms must be heavy.

He will used a lot of energy early if that punch doesn't hit the target. Below is the video of the final face-off,

We can see the different in weight and height. But it looks like Fury might have gain some weight as well. Eddie Hall is a boxer, he might be big, but it can work at a disadvantage in boxing as he needs to carry that big weight all throughout and it looks like he doesn't have that cardio to last at least 2-3 rounds.

It will be really impressive if Tommy Fury has the power to KO someone like Eddie Hall who has a 108 pound weight advantage and is really strong at his core. The fight depends upon how Eddie Hall is going to conserve his energy, whether he will punch himself out remains to be seen.

Checked stake for the odds, but they are not providing anything yet.

I think every boxer has a chance to knockout his opponent, if he has the timing, power x speed. So let's give Tommy Fury a chance even if we look at paper that it's going to be slim because of how big Eddie Hall is.

That could be his game plan, try to conserve his energy. But if he stay's like that and not be aggressive, then Fury might take the lead and uses his jab. As far as the odds goes, Fury is still the favorite in this fight.

Eddie Hall should impose his size early in the rounds. It's a six-round fight, two minutes per round, not the usual 3 minutes per round, so both fighters should take action in every round, which favors Eddie Hall because a big muscle guy like Eddie will easily gas out. Tommy should use the ring effectively and find angles.
Since this is a short fight and a short time in every round, it's going to be full of action. Both fighters have a chance; it should go to whoever has the better game plan.

Eddie hasn't been training like he used to so it's normal for him to reduce In size but that doesn't take away his strength. I don't think that Eddie hall should be underestimated because he is a strong athlete. Tommy fury has the upper hand here but it's not going to be easy for him to win easily.

I've just read that the fight is an exhibition fight, so will not go into their official record (I'm not even sure if Hall has a boxing licence). I thought it would be an official fight, but I guess it doesn't make much difference, except for there being less pressure for Tommy as his 11-0 record is not under threat.
It will also be a 6-round fight, each of them 2 minutes long (not the usual 3 minutes we have in official fights). That's surely a gift to Eddie, who, with his muscle mass, would really struggle to go the normal distance. It will still be hard for him to stay active for all 6 rounds and he will have to pace himself and attack in short bursts.

It's not going to be a boxing masterclass, but it should be a fun one to watch.

Tommy Fury won this fight in the manner that most were already expecting. He used his better stamina and movement to win by decision. If they had fought under professional rules instead of having shorter rounds, Fury could have won by stoppage. Not because his power is devastating, but because Eddie Hall might have passed out from exhaustion.

And was what we expected, Eddie Hall doesn't have that gas tank and will be exhausted. So this is what happened here, Fury moving away in their 6 round fight. And even if the rounds are shorten for 2 minutes, to somewhat mitigate Hall's physically, but still he gets tired.

For those who wanted to see the scores: Tony Bellew, Derek Chisora and Misfits heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor have it 59-56, 58-56, 57-57, respectively.

Eddie hall the strongest man lost the match, it was quite strange but I must say that Tommy Fury did his best and what a fight it was. Eddie isn't a boxer, although he had edge when it came to power and body weight but he lacked stamina and that's why Tommy won the match. Eddie should learn a lesson and never fight with young boxers like Tommy. Eddie's huge body was his advantage but it became his weakness. It was indeed an amazing match to be honest.

The outcome is what many expected because like the saying goes, you can't hurt what you can't hit. This is boxing and Eddie Hall is not a boxer, he would easily gets tired so Tommy Fury needs to just use his running shoes to avoid those punches that Eddie throws and that's it, he will win. Yeah, lessons learned for Eddie but this is just an exhibition match and if the money is right then i think they will run it again if given the opportunity.

To be honest, majority here and the odds says it as well, the Eddie Hall even if he is the strongest man between the two, won't win this fight. Simply because he is not a boxing, doesn't have that experience and in boxing, when you are big, you are at a disadvantage.

As this sports is more on moving and not getting hit and not about who is the strongest. I don't think that Eddie will learn any lessons here, in fact, this could be his stepping stone for another exhibition match. Maybe against another bigger guy or just a regular boxer. And that's why I said that he will not learn his lessons because he is going to fight because of money.
