I am the victim of CoinPayments' "gas fee trap."

Balance: $321 USDC, USDT, TRX, SHIB, FIRO
Demand: 0.02 ETH ($40) per wallet to withdraw

Their own admission (copy-pasted):
"You're totally correct that the gas fee in the network is way cheaper than our standard gas fee. However, we need to raise the gas fee to keep the network working on our platform."

I have published a full, detailed article with screenshots and the complete email exchange:

This is not just me. Search Trustpilot for "0.02 ETH" – dozens of identical complaints since 2024.

Do not use CoinPayments. Tell everyone you know.

0.002 ETH would be way more than enough to move the coins. asking for 0.02 ETH for each address is stupid... wow, just wow.

they replied with this on your trust pilot review, and i wonder what kind of "complexity" they are talking about? there is no complexity whatsoever.

they have an ANN here on the forum: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=276455.0
but it's practically dead and what's looks like to be their representatives have not been active for a long time.

Perhaps it's best to avoid using services with exploitative fees, especially withdrawals. I am one person who always first checks out the fees of a service before signing up for it or using it. Scam exchanges like HitBTC and Yobit have been doing this for ages, and people learnt to avoid them. The same should apply to CoinPayments. The least they could do would be to reduce the withdrawal fees to match the current ETH price
