How do I teach my kid to love and respect this forum?

You may be older  than me in the forum but I feel I should  just say a few things. Because  the post actually  caught my attention  though  your request  was older members should  advise  you which  I'm  literally  not. I feel you should let her know what the forum  is about how discussions  are being  done. You  also find out if she's  interested  in the kind of discussion  that is going  on here if she doesn't  then you should  not make it a compulsion.

Learning  is important  actually  but if you let her know about  the wey she  can earn from the forum that will be a motivation when she feels like  it's getting  boring. Let be honest if they are no earnings here it would have been  less active.

Now I have a kid, she is already 18 years old and mature enough to start learning things on her own. I want to introduce her to this forum, not just for earning, but mainly for learning. I want her to understand how discussions work here, how to respect other members, how not to spam, and how to actually contribute something useful.

I am thinking the same as well, but remember this forum must be considered a crypto learning academy. If someone could earn from this forum, that's their efficiency; everyone won't earn from the forum. But definitely anyone could learn from here, and it may help to handle their cryptocurrency later. It's very important to learn about crypto before holding or trading; otherwise, you might lose the funds somehow.

I have daughters as well; when they become mature, I will introduce them to the forum as well. And of course I will say to them it's a crypto academy from where you could learn and apply on your crypto journey. And of course I will introduce them to Bitcoin before introducing them to the forum. If they are interested in Bitcoin, then I will move on to introduce them to the forum.

That depends on her interest. Because if she wants to learn, she'll not find this forum amusing even if it's pack with information that she needs.

What I think she'll say that it's boring and not her type to learn new things. She might just look into youtube videos and social media groups where she can interact with.

Although no doubt the forum is the best for her to learn if she really wants to.

It is not hard to introduce the forum to someone, as long as they show interest after you tell them what the forum is about and what people do there. If it is the kind of person who would like the forum, he or she will easily develop interest, and that is all.It is very possible that the way someone introduces the forum to another person will shape the mindset they build about it. Bitcoin is a forum for learning about Bitcoin and cryptocurrency in general; that is all. There is no need for further explanation when we are trying to introduce the forum to anyone. I also believe that once someone gets to the forum, other members can guide them if they are about to make the wrong decisions.

Most of the newbies we see who are always eager to rank up quickly after joining the forum are influenced by the people who introduced them to it. If someone is told that the forum is mainly a place to earn money, he or she may become eager to start earning immediately.That is why many people who come to the Bitcoin forum through bounty campaigns find it difficult to learn more about the forum and its purpose. A person's first impression usually determines how their journey is likely to end.

The most important thing you should teach her is reading and comprehension. I believe a lot of those who spam may not even know they're doing that but for the fact that they lack semantics interpretation and awareness, they will surely miss relevant discussions that go on with their out of point posts.

My problem is, I am not very good at teaching. I know the value of this forum because I experienced it myself, but explaining it properly to my kid is another thing.

You can point her to relevant reading materials and videos online, if you aren't good at explaining stuff to her yourself.

There's not much to worry about doing that. I will wait till I feel coming here and learning about the crypto industry won't distract them from their formal education. Already, one of my kids has shown interest in learning about Bitcoin and this industry. I'm the one holding him back, and I've my reason for that.

If you are very regular on the forum, people all around you would always see you on the platform and would always ask you, "Which platform is this?" because the forum has a distinctive look.

I feel like if you are very regular on the forum and say perhaps you assess the forum through your laptop, your children will likely get to see it and ask you what it is, so it becomes easier for you to explain what the platform is and what it is for and about for them to have an interest in it. Children these days are smart.

You did not mention that you have introduced your daughter into Bitcoin, and if you have not done that that is the first thing you need to do, introduce her to Bitcoin and if she is interested in Bitcoin then you can further introduce her to this forum. But if you have already introduce her to Bitcoin and she's interested in Bitcoin and she is also interested in knowing more about Bitcoin then introduce her to the forum tell her she is going to know more about Bitcoin and the benefit in the forum, when you introduce her to the forum make sure you tell her the rules and regulation of the forum and the importance of keeping a good reputation in the forum.

The question is, is your child interested in being here? Parents should learn to allow their grown-up children to make decisions for themselves. If your child is interested in Bitcoin and is mature enough, adapting to this forum will not be a problem at all.

Even then, I find it hard to believe this topic is coming from a Hero Member. A Hero Member doesn't need the help of other forum members to teach his own child how to coordinate herself on this forum. In fact, I am finding it hard to believe this entire picture you are painting.

I have been here in Bitcointalk for many years already, so I am not really a newbie anymore. I may not be the most technical person here, but this forum taught me a lot over the years. Back in the day, I learned many things here that helped me build confidence in crypto and investing. I also made some investments because of the knowledge I picked up from reading discussions here. So in some way, I am really thankful to this forum.

In as far as you has been in this forum for a very long time you know what’s the forum is all about because it has help you even in your difficult times, that’s why they said that every successful person starts with the decision to try if to say you didn’t build your confidence and learn how the crypto functions, by now you couldn’t know what cryptocurrencies is all about.

On your subject you ask that how do you teach your kid to respect this forum, I don’t think it will be difficult on how you can put your kids through and love this forum; since you as father have know everything about how this forum works and how it can help your kids in future is good to put through.

You don’t need to necessarily be a good teacher before you can put your daughter through in this forum. If you claim she’s 18 years of age already, I think that’s fine and she can already know how to communicate in forums like this. Let her know the do’s and don’ts here, by doing so is already a big step for her to getting to know everything about this forum. I am sure there is nothing she could ask you about this forum you’ll find hard to answer unless it is above the scope of what you’ve learned here but for the rules of the forum, you already know and can guide her. So I don’t think she’ll find it hard to find her way through in this forum, just get her started if she already showed the interest and ready to learn.

People will always be the same because they will have to unleash what they intended to do from their mind, if your daughter is willing to learn about this forum and also remain here, there are things you also have to discover by herr own self, because of the passion she has for the forum, which film make a to be restricted to doing some particular things that could end our stay here, do your best and every other thing is left on her to determine whether she will stay or go by how she live the forum.

There are things she will discover herself; learning is a gradual process, and she can't grab everything at once, and nobody will hold her hand to teach her how to walk. I do not want to seem rude.  But is she uneducated?  Other wise, how can she not know how a discussion works or how to respect others?  Tell her about the rules if you want.  Plagiarism, spam et cetera.  But this is not the Oscars where she needs a particular type of dress and attitude.  She can be rude or not, new or advanced, if she presents interest show her the Forum.  Other wise, let her be.  Or she will become a spammer under pressure, the particular thing you say you want to avoid.

Although I'm not a elder person of this forum, I could not help sharing some personal thoughts after reading your post. First of all, the topic is very interesting because you are going to introduce and teach bitcointalk to another generation after yours. Every part of your post was good, if your child is interested, just explaining the rules, regulations and guidelines properly will be enough.

Since he/she is 18 years old, he will be able to learn these things quite well. The matter is truly interesting because your child is coming to the same place where you learned and contributed, through your guidance.

I guess the first question here is does she really want to be in this forum? does she really want to engage with the cryptocurrency and learn related into crypto stuffs?

It's too hard to teach other people to the things we want if they aren't interested at all. I am not against you want her here in the community but it's hard to engage the things you aren't curious and wanted to be in.

With that teen age they focus most likely exploring and with their friends.
