Maybe you should put entertainment at number 1, because that is really the major thing that attracts us. Gambling should be treated like having fun, we risk money here but we also enjoy the experience. Those negative things are just major reasons to consider ourselves irresponsible gamblers, especially if we cannot control our actions anymore.

I also noticed that gambling for entertainment was missing in the OP list of reasons that attracts us to gambling, people have different reasons for gambling and entertainment is definitely one of it although I wonder why some people don't believe that some of us gamble for fun. Actually I didn't use to gamble for fun but when I realized that it is a better strategy for gambling than gambling to make money I had to switch strategy. I'm not gambling because of anybody's influence or that I'm believing that I will get rich from it, I have overcome that stage, I gamble to relax and thrill myself with amounts that I'm comfortable to loose.

Out of the points you listed here, the few I quoted could be the reason. Although not actually that all are good reason but some point here are manageable, the main reason is to make money and have fun a when you are less busy. Those who gamble are just doing it to try luck if they can excape from poverty an become wealthy due to testimonies they have heard from friends and relatives. There could be different reasons but to me, money is the main thing.

Some parts of what you wrote are just a negative reason for someone to play gambling especially number 1 that doesn't seem too reasonable to me because we live on our own feet why should we expect financial support from the closest person.

I gambled out of greed to get more profit but that intention was a mistake because the more I gambled and interacted with some people on the forum I realized that getting profit from gambling is not something I can force because it's not even possible so I tried to reset why I gamble and I didn't get any answer because I gamble just because I want to do it. I know this will make me lose money but I don't want to give up gambling for now so I don't have a specific reason why I gamble other than I want to do it.

All these things you mentioned don't attract me to gambling presently now, maybe as of then I would have picked number 3 but not anymore. Infact nothing actually attract me to gambling, because these days I just play one or two bet to just see the outcome, and if I lose I logout but if I still win, I simply withdraw my money and rest for the day.

So I will say that I just gamble just for the fun and nothing much. And I try my best not to gamble with big amount that will be hard for me to let go. I don't gamble above my limit because that might make me to start chasing losses and is from there addiction starts.

I am surprised how you did not make mentioned about others also gambling for entertainment or you are not aware that there are people who gambles and craves for fun experiences all along?

However, I don't know about the reasons for others but that is majorly why I gambles. Alongside, I am expecting to play if I can also make some profits which is why I put a lot of efforts to analyse the games before taking my decisions.

And for healthy being, I am conscious not to depart away from my principles of disciplines but to maintain responsible gambling status quo because I know at the end I might loose more than I will win in the long which it does not worth investing more than I can afford to loose.

Yes, after making sure everything is in order, you can gamble for fun or to test your luck by setting a budget, then it doesn't seem like a problem. But when you keep gambling with your required money and even during work hours, you will realize that you are actually overdoing it and it will make you addicted. So before anything else, we need to make sure that you don't lose control of yourself in any way, and never go beyond your financial capacity. Greed and passion lead people to uncontrollability, so we need to maintain very strict control over these too.

I am disappointed with my government but that doesn't pushed me to gamble. At least, I want to strive and do better in life because there's not that much help that we're getting from our government. Other gamblers should change strategy like you. This will reduce the amount of big losses from gambling. Currently most gamblers do not choose to gamble to make shortcut money. Talking from experience, when I was still gambling, I always found myself gambling when I was down and broke. Everyone does have a reason why they are interested in gambling, and that reason is certainly diverse you mentioned it well here.
Maybe one of them is that they have too much money and they want to find entertainment in gambling, sometimes they are too introverted so their entertainment is found in online gambling, but obviously no matter what the background is the average purpose of why people gamble is for entertainment and or getting quick money from casinos.
