Still got long way to go, I'm on the 29th place but the games are still a lot and there could be a chance that even to those who are in the bottom may find their way at the top.

There were 109 participants in this tournament but very few were involved in the discussion.

They're in it for the prize and we can't force them, maybe they just try but they're really not that knowledgeable on the football discussions. I would be jealous that those who haven't been in the discussion will be the one to won first place, I mean there could be a high possibility that will happen.

It's really difficult for the matches to predict if it's the world stage because even the favorites could choke and the underdogs could ignite those flames of morale just to honor their respective countries.

Thank you Conteshunter.com for presenting this great event with quite interesting prizes, especially since all we do here is to guess the right score like Superbru concept.

It's exhausting I just finished predicting the score until the last match of the group stage, I'm afraid I'm busy with other events so I'm finishing it now.

Indeed this is very cool OP! Great job with this event it shall be a great time for everyone to partake. I was just talking about how fun it is that we can all interactively be participating in the world cup together in these threads and now competitions!!

I was in 26th place
Today I'm 21st with the same number of points as 16th place
And only 2 points away from being in the top 10, which is my goal

I managed to get some good points yesterday:

I correctly predicted France's 3-1 victory
And I got 2 points for the Argentina game

I got 1 point for the other two games 

Let's see if I can finish this first round of the World Cup in the top 10

Finally, I managed to get into the top 10!



I had a good run of correct predictions, managing to get 3 points on the USA, Brazil, and Paraguay games
Those 9 points have already moved me up several positions
However, now I need to maintain a good number of correct predictions, and that's proving quite difficult

In the Ecuador vs. Curaçao game, only 4 people managed to score points, haha, it's been so difficult to predict the results

There was one day when I forgot to make my predictions and ended up missing about 6 games 
That cost me dearly, but amazingly, I managed to nail a few results and climbed back up in the rankings

I see some familiar usernames on the top 10 leaderboard. I wanted to post it here, but as I mentioned it hasn't been updated yet. Let's wait for the contest organizer to do that and update it first.

I also managed to break into the top 10 in the end! I didn't start the tournament well enough but after that opening round I started analyzing the teams better and improved in hitting the right outcomes. That helped me climb up the leaderboard.

I found this contest format to be similar to Superbru, which was fantastic since we didn't have any community Superbru contest around for the World Cup this time. It's also great to see some familiar names sitting at the top of the standings. Well done boys and congratulations to the winners!

Not much is going to change in the leaderboard as very few persons had the final game 0-0 which is a strange result considering 2 attacking teams were playing that game.

I forgot to make predictions for at least 8 games, and that cost me dearly

If I had made all the predictions, I could have made it into the top 6, according to my calculations

According to LM's post here the payments will most likely be processed next week.

I didn't even realize there was another discussion thread for this tournament. I think that thread is for contesthunter.com in general, while this one is specifically for the FIFA World Cup tournament sponsored by Punkz.com.
Ideally, the discussion about this tournament should be kept here instead of in the contesthunter.com thread, but I don't think it's a big issue. Right? lol

The final score has already been calculated, but as I pointed out in another topic, it was calculated incorrectly because the match ended 0-0 in regulation time, and that's the score that should be counted for the results. But for some reason, the score is listed as 1-0. And I hope this will be corrected. I actually expected this final to end in a draw, I just expected it to end 1-1.
