Are Altcoins Done?

Whoever that is investing in altcoins should be very careful how they’re investing in altcoins, the situation in the altcoin market now is very different from that of bitcoin, we all know that altcoins depends on bitcoin to thrive which is a very difficult situation for people who are speculating about bitcoin, because of the volatility nature of different cryptocurrencies most especially altcoins which have a high tendency of volatility and you can find it very difficult to understand the altcoin market, well if you’re buying altcoins please try and be careful and have that awareness as well when buying altcoins.

It depends on the kind of altcoin you are investing and when you invest in altcoins that's gives you peace of mind then you don't have a problem and is either going to be for you to invest in Bitcoin or altcoins which ever you choose to invest in and I don't see the reason why people don't need to be discouraged from investing in altcoins and there are altcoins out there that can be invested in because all are good so the only thing that a lot of people need to be very careful of is meme coin because they just make you lose money you lose everything they have a bigger disadvantage because what they usually is to hype and dump that is what they usually do and people need to be careful on that. Altcoins is preferable most important is Bitcoin no debate about that.

The problem is they are rarely talked about, people just talk about it within their own circle and never really make a noise like before. If you want to find hidden gem, you really need to dig deep.

We not going to see so much of new altcoins entering the market now, we not really in altcoins season, that’s why everywhere is just silent. If you want to trade some altcoins, they are still available on exchanges, and new altcoins are still entering the market just that they not so much like when we are in altcoin season.

By altcoins, I mean more so on those coins that people talk about that 10x or more.  Thus I don't mean like litecoin or any of the top 20 Altcoins. 

You will see coins doing 10X and even more just because we were in altcoin season then, but now you going to find it difficult to see altcoins pump anyhow. There are still some altcoins that still do 10X or even more, but they not just so much compared to when we were in altcoin season. Let’s hope we going to see altcoin season again later in the future, thats when you see altcoins pumping massively.

Yes, there are such altcoins in the market but mostly the money manipulative altcoins to ever come across because the developers are the one controlling the market, and most of these projects are pump and dump projects which always don’t end well, that’s why people that take the biggest risk invest in those coins, while if you are not used to such risks, you will lose money to the project.

The best thing is to go for small profit and be safe in the altcoin market, while if you want to hold, consider the reputable altcoins to invest, or buy and hold Bitcoin.

Things are not as they were a few years ago. Everything has changed in a drastic manner. With "Wall Street" in the game, we're now seeing the attention shifted into BTC, while alts are left behind in the dust. The hype is what has "killed" altcoins, as serious investors seek utility above all else. You can see how deteriorated the crypto market turned into, with "meme" coins all over the place.

Are altcoins done? Yes, but only in the short-term. Despite the adversity, I still believe there's a chance for altcoins to rise from the ground up. It'll take some time, but it'll be worth it. Just my opinion.

If research and analysis alone were enough to discover hidden gem, they would not be called hidden gem, and most people would have been wealthy long ago. Especially the fund and professional analysts, who have far greater resources, data and research tool than anything we have access to.

Finding a hidden gem in the market is like searching for a needle in a haystack. It depends more on luck than on skill or research.

As for altcoin, I would agree they are not done yet. But finding a profit from them will become much more difficult than in previous cycles.

That do you mean by "while back"? Because there are exponentially more altcoin projects during every bull, then there were in last bull market. And i am not even counting scam tokens that are immediate rug pulls you get hundreds of thousands in a year.

Reason people think that there are less 10x coins is that they don't see them happening because market is flooded with them. You can't just investigate every mooning coin, because 99.999% are not mooning. Market has also saturated with them, so you would need way more incoming money to float them, or luck to float just some of them significally. Changes for you to find one is basically zero, as you had insanely low changes to pick right ones even during Shiba inu soaring.

Yes that is what I mean.  It hasn't been since around 2021 or so when people still talked about altcoins.  What I want to know is since then, are very few people trading altcoins?  I am mainly talking about those memecoins and those type of coins like on pancakeswap and binance and those things.  I am talking less about those coins on Coinbase as majority of coins on Coinbase are legit coins.  Even though Coinbase has dogecoin, well it's still legit.

Meme coins are still a thing though but they now have a new habitat. I think the popular now is Hyperliquid but this one seems a CEX. But that is not the main point right? But, it is about those shady coins being traded on the platform.

The problem is that most of you weren't paying attention and may thought altcoins would pump much later than BTC, but they actually did pump as bitcoin was pumping

XRP pumped by over 10x
Solana pumped by over 20x
HyperLiquid pumped by over 20x
Zcash pumped by over 30x

and so many more. So altcoins are not done, you are looking at them at the wrong time and in the wrong direction.

With the right investments at the right time, altcoins can yield good profits. But choosing which ones to invest in is crucial. It's best to invest in coins that are genuinely hyped and have potential. Since altcoins are already risky, investing in even riskier projects is pointless.

short answer is No, micro-cap altcoins are definitely not done, but the stadium where the game is played has completely changed. Altcoins and meme coins are definitely not dead, but if you're still looking for them on PancakeSwap or waiting for them to show up on Binance/Coinbase, you're hunting downstream. By the time a meme coin like Shiba Inu or WIF gets listed on a major app, the initial $10x$ or $100x$ retail run has already concluded.

But i know your feeling altcoin seems to be done and dead because lot of things including the altseason that never arrive.

Over the period of time we have seen that majority of new alts proved to be either scammed or are abandoned by there founders soon after the launch. If you are going for alt coins, then focus in top 10 alts listed on CMC or else you need to be lucky to find the right new alt coin. I agree its pointless to invest specially in the new alts.

Although there's still risk, but at least we won't see any fast dump schemes with them. But if they really choose to invest on new alts and think they can afford to take the risk. Well with that we might spot those scams and consequences is we might experience those quick scam schemes especially if they go with meme coins.

But i know your feeling altcoin seems to be done and dead because lot of things including the altseason that never arrive.

In the recent past we have seen a drastic decline of Bitcoin and this had a huge impact on all altcoins. But now the question is whether the decline is over or was it a trap? If you see Bitcoin back in the green, it should give altcoins a chance to breathe and for altcoin holders to either hold on to them or try to sell to minimize bigger losses if the drop happens again.
