Despite hundred of thousands of Alt coins available in the market, the option to invest in alts is very limited because not every Alt can give you good return in the long run. Even top alts like Ethereum don't move up with pace of Bitcoin and this is reason why investors have focused there attention on Bitcoin alone. There are more chances of getting loss from new alts then getting profit. While in case of meme, the chances of loss extend further. Investing a small amount in meme is fine, just like buying a lottery ticket with few bucks is fine.

Well... I don't understand why anyone would need altcoins right now, because Bitcoin is incredibly volatile right now. Sudden movements are no longer expected on it for months, now the situation is changing in a few days. Previously, Bitcoin was called grandpa in my local branch because it was slow and sluggish compared to altcoins. But now it is very fast and it is not boring to trade on it, and it is excellent for investments. It is much better than alteoins, which always prioritize one sharp price movement - down.

I think that as long as Bitcoin prospers, there will always be look-alikes that try to imitate or add to the concept of what a cryptocurrency should be or what kind of functions it should have.

Just because Bitcoin is the best cryptocurrency does not mean that altcoins have no use. DeFi, NFTs, and more are always going to need a vehicle and medium of exchange. So as long as these concepts exist and remain in demand, altcoins have a future.

Recently, I don't think it's easy to find an altcoin that is likely to give a 10x return, as the Bitcoin market is down and the overall market is also struggling. When we talk about altcoins that may potentially give someone a 10x return, they are often newly launched meme coin projects. However, I would also say it is very dangerous to invest money in them because they are usually pump-and-dump schemes.

Even if someone decides to take the risk, luck may not be on their side. They could continue losing money because those who pump these coins often dump them before they even reach a 10x gain and then probably abandon the project altogether.Instead of looking for projects that might give a 10x return but carry very high risk, it is better to invest in long-established altcoins such as Solana, BNB, and Ethereum. I think these tokens can give investors a little more peace of mind.However, if someone is looking for a lower-risk investment, they should focus on Bitcoin and hold it for the long term.

If bitcoin stays in existence and keep progressing then I don’t see any reason why many of this altcoins won’t prosper. Bitcoin is just the strongest pillar in the ecosystem that keep the system in form and much reliant. And In the ecosystem bitcoin isn’t the only token that has potentials we have seen several tokens and new projects that has good potentials and are striving to be a very reliable token in the future.
Some altcoins end up living the track and falling off but there are still some that stay disciplined and keep pushing towards their goal of climbing the higher grounds of the future.

Yeah we are done with old phase, then for sure as you have said there's provably new wave comes, many are aware that meme coin is a scam so most provably people will try to avoid it now.

People keep claiming stuff like these all the time, and I always dislike it. There is no reason to think that this would be great big drop that will never recover, it is usdt a temporary thing for most of them. Yes, if you invested into a shitcoin then it is very difficult for that to recover, but if we are talking about something that can actually make money, like a big altcoin, then these drops are not going to stand forever.

You could still buy stuff like ETH or BNB or SOL and whatever at that level, and in a few years you will profit at USD values for sure. In my understanding, altcoins to stay with us because if we accept or not, there are many altcoin lovers and there is a room for altcoins in this crypto space as well.

A ton of altcoins are losing values and the strong ones are the ones that are still struggling to maintain their force and continue with the adaptation in the market. It is not really easy for good altcoins in the presence of thousands of crypto projects that are launching almost everyday. Many investors had already learned their lesson about investing in random projects that have promising articles to make investors want to invest in the without a plan for a long purpose. The market is harsh to peojects that don't have enough funding making it hard for them to survive.

Despite the huge market cap, sure altcoins remained the most volatile in the market, majority of the altcoins are fake an easily pumped based on manipulated market which lack sustained liquidity in most cases, altcoins shouldn't be taken as a long term asset, always limit them to just gambling where you make sure not to put your two feets into the investment and never have long term mindset towards them

It has been doing well on many exchanges. Just look at the daily volume, liquidity, and trading of those altcoins. But the fact that there might be big changes in altcoins, yes, because altcoins are much more unpredictable and sometimes much more volatile, the risks are much greater, especially the hype coins or low cap altcoins. It's just that the numbers may sometimes drop. However, trading altcoins, especially hyped ones, carries quite a high risk. High volatility also affects it. This is why we sometimes need to be more cautious when deciding to trade altcoins.

I can only see "meme" coins dying once regulators decide to get involved. Like scrutinizing centralized exchanges to control which "meme" coins to list, etc. Crypto/Blockchain may be decentralized by design, but if someone wants to list a coin for trading, he's going to need the approval of a centralized exchange. DEXs are less restrictive, but suffer from low liquidity.

As for altcoins being done, I think they're "done" in the sense that it's going to take a long time before the market recovers. The effects would only be temporary. Because once the hype moves away from Bitcoin, investors will focus on altcoins again. Never say never. For alts to experience a "boom" in market prices, ETH needs to reach a new ATH first. At least, that's what I think. I could be wrong, though. Who knows what the future holds?
