US House votes to halt Iran war, in rebuke to Trump

The House vote was successful already, but it remain the Senate. According to the news, Trump party control the Senate but what if they also vote the way the House vote. But Trump can still decide to use military action even if Senate vote against his military action in Iran.

The House resolution still needs approval from the Republican-controlled US Senate. Even if it were successful in the Senate, the measure is unlikely to fully curb military action against Iran.

Trump could veto the measure, which would require a two-thirds majority in both chambers to nullify.

Even if the bill passes in the Senate, it still needs the President's approval and Trump could easily veto it. The only way to overcome the president's veto is to secure a 2/3 majority in Congress.

However, in the current context, the Republican Party holds a majority of seats in both the House and the Senate. I do not see a bill aimed at limiting Trump's war powers getting through.

The Democratic Party will have no way to stop Trump until the midterm elections take place and they regain control of the House of Representatives.
