I can not see Cape Verde scoring a goal honestly, but this world cup is crazy so anything can happen
From not seeing Cape Verde being able to score a goal to Cape Verde almost knocking out the defending champions Argentina, it would have been the biggest headline in this World Cup because Cape Verde was super impressive in their game played boldly against the world champions even though they do not have a profile in football themselves. I think the performance that Cape Verde has had in this World Cup has announced them to the world, and even though they've been knocked out of the competition, they leave as champions, they had a great show.
It is really amazing seeing a small football team like Cape Verde manage to give Argentina such a hard time. I do not think anyone expected this to happen during the match.
What worries me more is that many bettors probably lost money after Cape Verde managed to draw with Argentina in regular time.
I'm not sure any gambler would have bet on Cape Verde to be able to draw against Argentina even though they have a brilliant record of not losing any game in normal time in this World Cup; that would have been ignored. The odds of having a draw against Argentina would have been very large, and any gambler who was crazzzyyyy enough to have made that pick would have won really big.
I usually bet on the number of goals, and I would have won my bet not because I was expecting Cape Verde to score and give Argentina a hard time; I would have bet on the number of goals because I would have overestimated Argentina to be very dominating in the game and score a lot of goals.
Of course no one thought this would end in a 1-1 draw. I thought Argentina would play more aggressively and at least score more goals. In fact, no goals were scored in the second half. It was really disappointing for many gamblers to lose in this match. For someone who bet on a draw, have a nice day with this win...
