Community-led security is just the best way, a true security process always starts from the locality or the bottom, through things like organized community groups or networks or what we now have as local vigilante groups who actually know the in and out of a terrain.

Local security would have been another solution but considering what they're only entitled to possess will affect them from creating a maximum security in the communities they would be protecting because in my country even if you are a vigilante or another form of local security personnel you are limited to a lot of protective equipment so actually is only the military that can bring solution because they have every means to protect the people of their country. However what most countries usually do if the insecurity is too much is to recruit more people so that they would have enough military to secure the country.

One of the possible solutions of reducing insecurity in Africa is by pulling people out of poverty, the reason why young persons are getting involved with some of these militia group is the fact that they are being induced with little money and since a lot of them don't have meaningful source of livelihood, they just join this terrorist organization. so by the time this terrorist organization groups them all together and begin to give them some little incentives, you will see that they will start doing The unthinkable. Ordinarily Africa understand the sacredness that comes with life, so killing people due to religious and political reasons has never been an African thing.
I don't think that poverty is used as a main explanation for the terrorism going on in Africa. Some people live in poverty they struggle to survive but they do not kill innocent people or they do not join terrorist group. These types of problems are basically connected to the poor security system, their weak governance, a lot of corruption that is going on and the political manipulation and extremist ideology of their society. There are people who join these groups to get money, while there are others who are being motivated by power, revenge or religious belief.

I don't agree that killing people for religious or political reasons is not part of African culture. Africa has history of communities that value human life but they have also experienced political violence and forced religious conflict at different periods of the history. Creating employment opportunities and reducing poverty are important steps but they cannot solve the insecurities. It is responsibility of government to strengthen laws, improve education system, address injustice and also prevent vulnerable people from being exploited by extremist groups.

Your opinion is very brilliant... Poverty is almost like the least thing on the list when questioning the essence of terrorism and why certain groups of individuals are interested in it. I have come to believe that a significant number of all terrorism actives are largely sponsored or associated with certain individuals who are either in government, or certain individuals who largely benefit from the instability of certain regions through the sales of arms and ammunition.

This very discussion is something I believe cannot be discussed to the fullest because it's a problem that has been in existence, and still existing till date. What's even more disappointing is that a few individuals from the same continent have literally made themselves(the entire continent)victims of their own situation.

The level of insecurity is really increasing in Africa countries, and I don’t even know the possible ways which the government will be able to compact insecurity in the country.

1. Ban the use of motorbikes in rural areas.
I don’t even think this will be possible, who are going to enforce the ban? In some rural areas in Africa, the only means of transportation which they have is motorbikes, they don’t have good road network, you can’t access some villages with Cars because they don’t have access road to the village, how will you ban motorbikes from areas like this? If motorbikes are banned, how will they be able to transport themselves?

Before government will be able to do that, then they should provide every village with access road, then they can talk about banning motorbikes, villagers will be able to access their villages by cars, but we should know that government cant do that, so they can’t ban motorbikes.

I have this unorthodox way of thinking about scenarios and looking at the current predicament of some African countries, I always feel the government benefits from actions like this that's why they haven't implemented security protocols for this. The last thing I am going to do is underestimate this African leaders because I feel they are smart enough to know this solutions and they also have the resources to pursue peace but they always turn a deaf ear to it

Yes their benefits on this terrorism is the perfect reason why this insecurity persists in most African countries when they have some good military experience when it has to do with combating terrorism. Exclusively writing off the benefits African leaders stands to gain on the actions of terrorists in their country i see know reason why insecurity can not be eradicated.
I may have supported you in the first point but that of saying African leaders are not to be underestimated is very wrong, true leadership are seen from the achievements gotten while in office and not based on assumptions. Most African leaders lacks the qualities of leadership that is why they remain the poorest continents in the world even with the presence of high mineral resources present in their lands.
Look at how leaders from other continents that are not rich as Africa have transformed their nations with the resources gotten from some African countries,  that is the real qualities of leadership not the once in African.

No two ways about what you think before because that is the simple truth. The government knows what to do to stop insecurity but go back and check the millions of dollars that are allocated for security then you will realize that they are using for their own personal business. The kidnappers and criminals carry out the operations in the land and the government is in control of every corner of the land, they can not tell us that if they decide to wipe the kidnappers out it will take them up to 24 hours to do that but because of the amount they will keep getting it there are crises they will not fight them to end it.

1. Ban the use of motorbikes in rural areas.
2. Implement a night curfew to prevent civilians from being attacked at night.
3. Map out every Forest and mast that is not populated by people and create security defenses on them.
4. Let the military have full power to execute any obstacle without waiting for the last order or commands at war.
5. Form security surveillance as well as use of sophisticated weapons and devices like drones etc.
6. Fortify the military with enough equipment necessary to combat any Security challenge.
7. Read out the informant among the military and make thorough exercise to combat insurgents.
8. Target the sponsors of insurgency across the countries and go after them first before hunting for the hoodlums used.

All the points you listed are valid except the area of banning motorcycles. Did you know how many poor families that are surviving by using motorcycles for transportation business? Even if motorcycles are banned do you think that terrorist won't improvise another means of transportation? I still remembered when terrorists was terrorising a neighbouring community at my place, they were using SUV cars to operate and capture their targets which shows that they were being sponsored by some hierarchy in government and politicians. They were targeting opposition party members which shows that it was politically motivated. Banning motorcycles will not stop insecurity, it's just a way to punish the poor people who use it as a means of livelihood.
