BitcoinBT (BTCBT)

LIVE SHA-256 MAINNET
ASIC Mining Active
Bitcoin Core v26 Based

---

What is BitcoinBT?

BitcoinBT (BTCBT) is an independent SHA-256 Proof-of-Work blockchain based on Bitcoin Core, originating from the Bitcoin blockchain at block height 903,844.

The network operates as a live public mainnet with active ASIC mining, real block production, public nodes, a public mining pool, and a blockchain explorer.

BitcoinBT is designed for miners and developers who value traditional Proof-of-Work mining, open-source development, and decentralized blockchain infrastructure.

⚠️ WARNING: BitcoinBT (BTCBT) is a High-Risk Pre-mined Project & Unverified Binary ⚠️

Before anyone considers downloading the wallet or interacting with this "fork", please look at the structural facts. This project exhibits classic red flags of an extraction scheme and potential malware distribution.

1. The Massive Pre-mine (Economic Red Flag)
The project's documentation explicitly states a "Special premined reward: 2,000,000 BTCBT".

2. Plagiarized Repository History
The GitHub repository shows over 39,000 commits, which is a deceptive tactic. This is not original development.

3. Total Isolation (No Peer Review)
The repository has 1 star (likely the author), 0 forks, and 0 watchers. No independent developers have reviewed, compiled, or verified this software.

4. Why a "Clean" VirusTotal Link Means Absolutely Nothing
The author uses a clean VirusTotal scan as "proof" of safety. This is a false sense of security.

5. Unverifiable Windows Binary (.exe)
The provided v0.1.0-win64 release is a pre-compiled binary with zero deterministic build proof. There is no way to verify that the [.exe] file actually matches the open-source code shown on GitHub.

Do NOT execute these files. Do NOT import any active private keys. Protect your data and stay away from this thread.

Thank you for taking the time to review the project.

A few points should be clarified for accuracy.

1. After reviewing the repository, we found an obsolete early-development reference related to a draft fork reward implementation that remained in the mining RPC code. This reference did not reflect actual BitcoinBT mainnet history. The first BitcoinBT block (#903845) contains a standard 50 BTCBT block reward, and the outdated reference has been removed from the public repository.

2. BitcoinBT is a Bitcoin Core v26 based hard fork. The repository history originates from the Bitcoin codebase and reflects inherited Bitcoin Core development history. The project has never claimed that the upstream Bitcoin Core history was originally authored by the BitcoinBT team.

3. The repository now includes public documentation, SECURITY.md, CONTRIBUTING.md, CODE_OF_CONDUCT.md, GitHub Discussions, release checksums, and issue tracking. Community members are welcome to review code, report issues, submit pull requests, and participate in technical discussions.

4. The complete source code is publicly available. Anyone may inspect, audit, fork, build, and verify the software directly from source.

5. SHA256 checksums are published alongside Windows releases. Users are encouraged to independently verify binaries and, if preferred, compile directly from source. We fully support independent verification.

Constructive criticism and technical review are always appreciated. Our focus remains on maintaining a stable SHA-256 network, supporting miners, improving infrastructure, and continuing long-term development of the BitcoinBT ecosystem.
