How many confirmations are required, as they weren't mentioned?

You have a relatively small reserve; is it a single address or a pool of addresses? Do you have proof of liquidity, such as a signed txt from one of your reserve addresses or send amount to BTT to the forum escrow members?

Deposits require 2 confirmations before the exchange is processed. I’ll add this to the faq

About liquidity, yes the reserve is still modest, but Eiger only uses its own funds. I don’t use third-party liquidity providers, and I don’t plan to. I prefer to grow the reserve slowly while keeping full control over the liquidity

The reserve is not held on a single address. It is managed through a wallet with multiple addresses, so signing from one address would not really prove the full reserve. The reserve addresses are native SegWit bc1 addresses, so classic Bitcoin message signing is not supported in the same way as with legacy addresses

If stronger proof is required, I can consider another verification method

Quoting to reveal your image.
Do you realize that there's no link to your exchange?
Fine a place to insert your exchange link, you can get a copper membership to enable you post images.

🔸 Live payment status: incoming payments are detected and displayed
Would like to see this feature at work. It seem to be a nice feature.
If the exchange is under maintenance, will the status show the exchange is under maintenance?

Is this a solo project?

True! We can only be skeptical, since we cannot actually see behind the screen. Even in the ugly society, the beautiful ones are still born but very rare.

On the swap page, I would prefer if the summary of the transaction was shown;
1. The amount I am to send
2. The estimated amount I am to receive before the transaction fees

Only the fee percentage is being displayed.

At this point I'm not risking a single cent with new services unless they have a escrow in place with a trusted bitcointalk user. What do you think, OP?

And yes, I know escrow isn't a bullet proof solution, but I rather send $100 to a service with a $10k escrow in place than to a website that can be made in 48h for $5 in tokens post-AI world. And while scams are rampant and 9 out of 10 new swap services look like exit scams waiting to happen, it's not fair to just affirm everyone is a scam right away.

One closes, another immediately opens.
Particularly my thought!  There are so many scams out there that every time a new one appears, it immediately makes you think it is the future exit scam!  It is so sad!

-----

I appreciate that you put the effort to adapt this website for people who prefer No Java Script like me.  I did not test your swaps as I personally also prefer to test platforms that agreed to protect the community by escrow.  But I looked through your Frequently Asked Questions and this line looks very vague to me,

Quote
We are committed to collecting as few logs and as little information as possible, for your security as well as ours.

What does 'as few logs and as little information as possible' mean?  Your statement does not mean no thing will be collected.  So what exactly do you collect?

There is also a question where the answer offered by you is,

Quote
If your deposit has more than 15 confirmations and still hasn't appeared, please contact support.

But there is no support to find on the website.  I went through all the links.  Does support even exist?

Would like to see this feature at work. It seem to be a nice feature.
If the exchange is under maintenance, will the status show the exchange is under maintenance?

It is mostly about the XMR liquidity indicator on the main page. When XMR is already in the wallet but still locked by Monero confirmations, the page can show that more liquidity is coming soon, for example: "+XX XMR available in ~XX min"

True! We can only be skeptical, since we cannot actually see behind the screen.

And I understand the skepticism. I’m starting small, using only my own reserves, and I prefer to grow slowly rather than depend on third-party

What does 'as few logs and as little information as possible' mean? Your statement does not mean no thing will be collected. So what exactly do you collect?

What is stored is only what is needed for the swap to work: swap amount, pair, deposit address, payout/refund address if provided, txid, swap status, and support
messages if the user opens a ticket. GPG messages are accepted through support

But there is no support to find on the website. I went through all the links. Does support even exist?

Support is linked from the swap page

Quote
On the swap page, I would prefer if the summary of the transaction was shown;
1. The amount I am to send
2. The estimated amount I am to receive before the transaction fees

Only the fee percentage is being displayed.

Networkfees can vary, so I avoid showing too many intermediate values that could confuse users

Quote
And while scams are rampant and 9 out of 10 new swap services look like exit scams waiting to happen, it's not fair to just affirm everyone is a scam right away.

Anyway, if I need to deposit an amount with a trusted escrow member, I’m open to it

EDIT: I have submitted an escrow request

You will face a problem which is that deposits will be high AML and if BTC withdrawals are the same and come directly from deposits, the use of the service will be limited.

At this point I'm not risking a single cent with new services unless they have a escrow in place with a trusted bitcointalk user. What do you think, OP?
It might be better to delay listing any new platforms.

I also took a closer look at the eiger.st, and frankly speaking I can't tell whether they can be trusted at least for now. And we really need to be skeptical of services that comes to the forum, you should never use money that you can not afford to lose to test any project that comes to the forum for your own mental health.

@OP do not feel bad if you were not welcome properly, users here are simply trying be careful, because platform similar to yours had disappeared with users funds in the past.

Trust me, if your intentions of coming to Bitcointalk are genuine you will definitely find users who will be willing to use your platform, but you need to prove to us that you are here for legitimate business and not for other purpose. Users here prefer platforms that are transparent, genuine and trustworthy .
