I never believed it would reach over 70 cents neither, and yet it did. So I am inclined to say that it will never see those prices again, and that was only happening because Elon Musk, one of the most famous people on earth, pumped it, and that's why it reached that level.

But at the same time, I was wrong before, so I would not have a guarantee that it wouldn't be another wrong estimate by me. I would not invest into it myself, not personally, but I can see others doing it and maybe they are right, I wouldn't know.
I also won't invest into it anymore.

We don't know what might happen in the future, it can be at $1 or it can never reach that price.

That $0.7 was actually a great milestone of it but it might be the only historical high that it can ever record. No one really knows and just as you, I don't have any price to say of how high and low it can be.

Most likely, the huge Dogecoin pump was a one-off event, largely driven by hype sparked by a well-known figure on Twitter (X). Personally, I don’t really believe that Dogecoin will be able to repeat that price peak or surpass it in the foreseeable future. At least for now, there are no signs of this, either on the chart or on social media.

Yes, it was just a one time thing and those who were able to take profits from it won't probably ever see that again.

IIRC, Musk helped a lot when he's so active in Twitter at that time and kept on tweeting about dogecoin.

Maybe with Musk's trillionaire status now he can do more if he wants to get more money from the market in a short time.

Where else would he need more money? Basically, right now, to maintain his status as a trillionaire, he needs to focus on developing Tesla and SpaceX, and everything else is, in my opinion, of secondary importance to him. And when it comes to BTC and cryptocurrencies in general, including DOGE, I think it’s just a way for him to have fun, nothing more.

To be fair Doge wasn't suppose to reach 70 cents so you guys are right. But at this point it's clear that we are not going to see it reach that levels again that easily. It's not going to end up with rising like it was in 2021, and there won't be a hype, so there is no reason for it to reach a dollar.

But anything would be possible if Elon Musk re-enters. So, in my opinion the best debate would be whether Elon will comeback to Doge or not rather than discussing about any price level for dogecoin.

The well known figure is now the owner of Twitter aka X. Elon Musk is solely responsible for creating the original hype around Dogecoin, and that in turn started the meme coins menace. It is highly possible that Doge could rally once again if we see a renewed push from Elon. Now that he has become a trillionaire, any move he makes could have a massive impact on the market.

He doesn't need it.

But he clowns the crypto community and he knows that anything he says can make him still money. So it would just be a part time and quick cash grab for him if he do it so.

Although I agree that he should be focusing more onto his companies but, people like him still need to look to be entertained in their own ways.

I don't think so. The last few times Musk mentioned Doge to some extent, the Doge price either didn't react at all to his comments or the increase was negligible. In other words, I think that Musk won't be able to generate the same hype with his mentions of Doge as he did back when Doge reached its ATH.

I want to invest on an altcoin, doge has been what that come my mind. Its all time high was in 2021 at a price of $0.7375, but after falling, it rose 10x to $0.48 in the last bull market which was in 2024. That shows how these altcoins can not be trustworthy because it did not get to all time high, but at least it tried for gamblers.

What do you think this time? In the next bull market, can doge get to all time high? I am looking for a good coin, but which will also be volatile because the amount of money I want to invest is not that much.
There's no way for dogecoin to reach 1$ as it would need above 170 billion market cap.

Dogecoin has uncapped supply and ~3.5% yearly inflation rate by the way which means the longer dogecoin stay on the bottom the smaller the chance for dogecoin to make it into $1 price or above.
Currently priced at 0.074 the same price in 2021. The biggest problem with dogecoin is the burn, it has no burn mechanism beside voluntary yet the coin has no utility at all besides simple remittance.

$DOGE without tweet elonmusk is nothing, the last time he tweeted about DOGE was in 2024 and even then it was not referring to the $DOGE coin but rather the government efficiency department (D. O. G. E.) an organization under the Executive Office of the President. In fact, Elonmusk can still create hype if peak season arrives, but because the peak season in this cycle is not so fierce in the market, the narrative to push the hype is not appropriate.
Does he still have $DOGE coin? well I'm sure he still has it and it's still a good weapon to play with when the time comes.

Well, you've raised a valid concern. Of course, Dogecoin's endless production of new coins is a factor one must be aware of particularly if the growth in new coin buyers remains significantly lower than the supply. Yet, I don't think that it is totally devoid of usefulness. In particular, the fact that it is so cheap and fast makes it good for small payments and remittances. The major challenge, however, is that people need to start using it actively.

Dogecoin would have to find ways of being used in the real world to go to $1 and also remain there. The reason behind that would not be just relying on publicity and speculation as these are two sides of the same coin of hype. The lack of the burn feature can be a minor issue if not the deciding one although it can not really compete with the infinite supply when it comes to maintaining demand. Ultimately, it's the usefulness and acceptance that shall decide whethe rDogecoin will be valuable in a long-term period.

In the case of meme coins like Doge, the role of overall community, social attention and influential figures is the most important. But in reality, it has no practical development, which is why its price increase is always hype for a short time. Elon Musk's public comments and the influence of social discussions were the biggest reasons for the rise of DOGE in 2020-21, but currently its price is $ 0.098 according to Coin gecko. So, Elon Musk's support alone is not enough for its price to be $ 1. Until people find a valid reason to hold its long-term value, its price will not be $ 1. If his company and other large companies can increase real usage including accepting DOGE payments, then its price can achieve this goal.

Doge may definitely have a comeback to perform better and beyond with me expected, but this will only depends on the probability that if we have it a thing of serious concern by the investors to pump it and make it at you a particular target as before, this is why we only have to speculate and know whether it has been having an increasing market cap from the previous rate we left it or it has always been stagnant on the same particular range that may not be good for a possible investment opportunity later in the future.

Doge is just memecoin, after all. So dont overthink its supply, tokenomics or usecases.
If you want to invest in Doge or meme in general, focus more on the narrative behind them. I mean the community hype, the culture around it, and whether some big name with deep pockets is backing it.

Doge once hit $0.7 just from a few tweets by Elon. So all we really need to care about is whether Elon still supports it or not. Because a couple of moves from him, like accepting Doge as payment for his businesses, would be more than enough to pump Doge straight to the moon, fr.

The market these days is way past Elon Musk. His "tweets" (comments) no longer influence DOGE's prices. Investors got tired of his schemes. What can only drive true price growth is real world adoption. This means DOGE being accepted as payment method in mainstream businesses and/or retail stores. Since it's inexpensive and fast to use, merchants won't have a problem embracing it as digital cash. Elon Musk even went as far as hinting DOGE to be used for micropayments on his social platform, X (although, this hasn't become a reality yet).

If we consider real world adoption/usage, then DOGE can easily hit $1. By speculation alone, it will touch $1 briefly, only to go back to "square one". We'll see what happens...

For DOGE, the $1 question is mainly a supply and market-cap question, not just a chart target. The annual issuance and the amount of new liquidity required matter, while meme attention can be very cyclical.
