Every new president of this country thinks that when they get into power, they are trying to fix things, but actually they tend to get things and the documentation processes more complicated for the citizens like the initiative of BVN, NIMC, TIN, and others that are of same data equivalent.
I think documentation for citizens should be only one, just as we have social security number for citizens in the U.S and other advanced and more developed countries. It is sure to bear same accuracy of information and personal individual details and can be used for several procedures that documentation is required.

Why Naija own always dey different, because am having new issues from old documents that was merged. Am talking about me using a NIMC document that was BVN generated and all of a sudden the new presidency in power had to nullify it without most of us finding out until we want to fill and submit some new documents and the issue comes up. It's a concern for me because having to resubmit same details to produce new documents cost much more than before and the process is quite daunting I must say.

Anyone experiencing same issues too?

Is the government embarking on another round of documentation again?, because if they are then I'm not aware of it, the government leaves areas that needs urgent attention and be doing documentation that almost every administration that comes into power has done, we have other areas that needs to be fixed but they ain't going that way, we need to diversify the economy in order to make life easier for the common Man, what happens if the government invest massively into the agriculture of this country and create more Job opportunities for the Youths rather than documenting every year.

The United States government that we always talks about is more advanced than us and they arranged all their documents easily and do it once, here corruption has made us do things zigzagly and like I said I haven't come across documentation of any sort recently except they have started and I don't know.

First of all, you have to pardon your country, you are ruled by a bunch of clowns. With that aside, where in the world will you need to do 4 things just to identify who you are? Just imagine. I don't know whether the government of Nigeria derives joy if we Nigerians go through stress.

The government has no plan for the next ten years. That's why all this nonsense of changing its identification. Because if there was a plan, one identification is enough and we move on to the next thing to develop.

At the end of the day, when new verification corrections come up, we the citizens are not well informed about them. We don't even have a general channel that can reach everyone quickly around the country. We sure as hell have a long way to go.

Now the issue is still the unnecessary change of identification. The one wey dey bust my brain be say we go still have to spend money to get am. Aaah. Anyhow sha, na here we dey.

One rule in data security is that You must not expose personal data to different data base and in that regard, we always fail too much. Our finger print is literally scattered across bank data base, schools, different registration centers for even minor jobs and our NIN and other core personal data is almost everywhere. even with this, we still have serious data problem because it is most not well documented.

This is not just a failure that comes from the government alone because in most tertiary institutions that is believed to be the apex of excellent in the country, their data system is still ancient and someone can literally study two courses in same university without the person being dictated and all these comes as a result of poor documented or the fact that we don't take the issue of proper filling serious. of cause, what is not working in our nation is far more than what is working.

What annoys me most is the unnecessary stress why should we need so many things just to prove we are say it just feel like poor plan from the government if there was proper structure and long time planning one valid means of identification should be enough instead they keep changing thing without properly informing people and many citizens only hear about new requirements when it is already urgent.

The painful part is that we all still end up spending our own money on all these processes in the end na ordinary citizens dey suffer pass but well na nigeria we just dey manage.

I totally agree with OP on this one, sometimes I begin to wonder what is the need of BVN  NIN and TIN. I ask myself if the government are confused or why can't we have one form of identification like the western countries. I think that all this firm of identification are the same, so why can't the government use just one for the country,  rather than confusing themselves with different identification. I have been opportune to live in Europe for sometime and all I can remember as the firm of identification is the residence permit, which carry a number, that every immigrants and citizens all have, and that is what is used as a form of identification and documentation. I think we have so many is unnecessary,  so I think the government should stick to one and scrap the others.
