Interesting list, thank you for collecting the data.

I'm now wondering: did all these campaigns pay in BTC, or do you also have campaigns on the list that paid in altcoins?
I'm asking this because I think the number is a bit high for campaigns paid for only in BTC.

Is this counting only Bitcoin campaigns or altcoin campaigns also?
This is interesting information and I was not aware we had so much campaigns in forum,
but it would be nice to see what campaigns were longest lasting, and to know time when signature campaigns were paying the highest amount of coins.

OP emphasises that these are signature campaigns published only on the services board. Even from back then, for a company to get posted on the services board, it would have to be a bitcoin-paying campaign. An altcoin paying for a signature campaign would instantly get moved to the altcoins board.

but it would be nice to see what campaigns were longest lasting, and to know time when signature campaigns were paying the highest amount of coins.
I think someone made such a thread sometime back. Let me try looking it up, though I am not sure if they updated it to the recent times.

Campaign activity by year

What happened to signature campaign in 2018?
2018, I will never forget that year  Grin

Part of the year was affected by the altcoin airdrop and bounty hangover. During the ICO hype in 2017 and early 2018. We had bounty signature campaigns that turned out way more profitable than some of the Bitcoin signature campaigns, and so even some of the reputable members participated in them.

Let's just say ICO bounty campaigns were very many and popular during that period than Bitcoin paying campaigns.
Many things really happened in 2018.
Apart from the collapse of signature campaign which is indicated in the graph and you also explained the reason behind it;
I have read somewhere that 2018 was the heart of spamming in the forum that lead to the introduction of the merit system.

I learnt it was a period when some good forum members left the forum because of spam and a good number of them didn't return when the spam was finally arrested.

I was really surprised to see this graph. I knew that 2018 was a very important year for Bitcointalk, but I never imagined that there were about 1.69 million posts in one month. While there were usually about 200K to 250K posts per month, the activity increased by about 8–9 times in March 2018. So yeah the biggest reason for this was the huge hype of ICOs and altcoin bounties. And that's why there were less signature campaigns running on the service board at that time.

This is a great addition to the OP or the first page, with the same table format. It's always nice to reminisce about the good old days when signature campaigns paid in fixed amounts of bitcoin, and the value eventually soared, making those weekly payments worth $200 or even more.

2018 is an important year for Bitcointalk.org forum, I don't know why there is such an important time point.

This forum has a long history before 2018, while that year basically is a year of scam ICO wave and this forum was affected a lot by spamming. Consequently, theymos considered to shut down the signature campaign, user signature if spamming endemic could not be handled and reduced. After months of consideration and discussion with community, the admin deployed the merit system.

Changes that are parts of spam reduction and control.

It is shown in forum ads stats too and I have some topics for that, unfortunately, images are no longer visible.

I use https://bitlist.co/search this search tools to search only signature campaigns.
In a quick check, I noticed you're missing quite a few campaigns: this one or this one for instance. That makes me wonder how reliable the full data set is.

Thanks for your feedback. I originally searched using the filter and keywords (Signature Campaign | Sig | Signature) in the Bitlist tool.  After your comment, I checked again, but these campaigns were not showing up in Bitlist within that specific timeframe. I really don't understand why they didn't show up in the search results despite matching the keywords.

However, based on your information, I have now manually updated the data. Your suggestion really helped to make the list more accurate and reliable. I have tried my best to add all the signature campaigns of the Service Board to the list.

This one had it's title edited later on. So to be more thorough, you'll need to check both archived and current topics.

If it helps: here's a list of all topics currently on the Services board: loyce.club/other/tmp/Dareo.txt.
