Is INEC Really Independent In Nigeria?

In Nigeria today there is no sector that can openly boost of being independent now in the country,

My brother I agree with you plenty plenty times because as we set this country so, plenty countries see us as the number 1 corrupt people and is like nothing good fit come out from this our side and e dey show, see health sector, doctors dey complain for lack of equipment and other things and e dey force them to even do scatter scatter work for person body after all them no dey pay them. School nko, that one them no dey talk about am but you see this INEC own, if there fit better I believe say the other place go get 75% chance to better but ones INEC don fall for corruption the next person or the ruling government don finish us, these guys them know where to hold hand make e better for them and that is why them go first hold who dey call election results then next na the lawyers.

I am motivated to ask this question because of what have been going on in Nigeria election, and in the electoral body. The INEC body is no longer independent, and are being ordered about by Nigeria politicians instead of standing on their ground as an independent body. Their is no longer trust in the INEC body as they dance to the toon of politicians who square them with money, and make unfaithful promises to them.
This is an issue of great concern in the Nigeria electoral system, and something has to be done in other to solve this electoral problem that is being caused by INEC because is no longer a trusted body.

What is your take on this?

As long the president have the right to change and give instructions to INEC they will do as the government want because they brought them into that position and they will have to dance to their tune. No matter the method of election they will bring, it will be in their favor because they will find their way to change the result of our votes.

We have to keep trying to make change in the country, we need to be motivated to to cast our votes and also monitor it to the best of our ability so that we can have justice this time. We can't keep suffering under this government that don't care about us.

Everyone knows that INEC is not independent, how can something be independent when the President are the one appointing the INEC Chairman, because African politicians would obviously appoint those who are going to help their party to win the election, and who is paying the INEC officials is still the present Government that is playing the INEC, so we know how all this things works, don’t allow anyone to confuse you by telling you that INEC is independent which is absolutely wrong from people who feels that INEC is independent, this Present Government INEC is working for the APC, and they’re interested in Bola Armed Tinubu to win his reelection, in developed countries people that are in charge of electing a president doesn’t have anything to do with the Government, and voting are always online in the internet and the people’s choice are alway supreme.

I am not surprised by INEC being independent because the country is corrupt and the corruption itself start from the INEC because they all look like hungry people don’t know what they are doing, it is not today that we all know how corrupt INEC is and how they rigged elections to favour the party that bribe them with big money, I have said it many of my posts that it will be very difficult for us the citizens to decide who will be our president because even if we vote and the person we vote win the election INEC will do everything to change it because they have the power to do so.

One of the Nigeria problems is INEC and they are also the enemy of Nigeria because if they do their job well without any injustice Nigeria will be better now, I do not pray for anyone family to suffer but how i wish the kidnappers are only targeted the rich people so that they can taste what the poor people are facing in the country, if the rich people are the once facing all these problems in Nigeria I believe they will have solve the problem and do everything to make sure the country have a good leader.
