ICC Women's T20 World Cup 2026 starts on Friday, 12 June. Teams are divided into two groups, with 6 teams in each group. Who do you think will have the upper hand in this tournament, and who is the favorite to win? Let's have an interesting discussion about the matches.

Australia Women are the favorites to win the tournament. Group A is a tougher pool, it also features South Africa Women, who were the runners up of the last World Cup, and then followed by India Women. It will be a bigger challenge for India.

Since England is the hosting nation, England women is the strongest team in group B, and then comes New Zealand, who is the reigning champions.

Pakistan and Bangladesh sides can surprise teams, and I won't be surprised if they pull off major upsets.

The warm up match between India Women's team and England Women's team has just ended. Both these teams are worthy contenders for this year's Women's World Cup. The match was also exciting.

England Women's team batted first and managed to give a decent target of 172 runs. Indian players also performed quite well. Even then, India Women's team lost by 5 runs in the end. The Indian top order started very badly today. Otherwise, India would have won the match.

Don't have much idea about women cricket teams, but from little I know I'd say men's and women's teams are equal in strength (except WI, I would rate women's better than men's) hence would put favorites same as men's and I'd pick ENG as favorite for the cup in this tourney.

Hmm... I thought it was only me that pause less attention on women's sports events. I am not only referring to the cricket games, I mean sport events entirely.
Their actions on the board are kinda slow to be compared to the men's team. I understand men are more physically stronger and energetic than the women which makes the difference.

However, I don't bet on the women's team because their games are more difficult to predict unlike the men's team who could maintain their strength tobacco certain level while women fluctuations are too high volatile in most cases.
But if I should give this women tournament a try to predict which team have the probability to win the match, in will justify it based on the performances and position of the men's team from a particular country because I believe the same capability could be transformed to the female genders.
Therefore, I will go for the England teams too.

Australia won the West Indies Women's Team vs Australia Women's Team match. It was a one-sided match. The West Indies team is not weak but their performances are erratic. They could only give a target of 132 runs. Victory was not possible given such a small target. Australia reached the victory target losing only 4 wickets. Australia collected 132 runs in 15 overs

When the game reached to almost 13 to 14th over, the rain comes in the ground and it totally disturbed environment at that time they were on some thing maybe 114 or 104 runs but after the rain they way they made come back was magnificence and at the same time, often we saw it is harder to bat on the wetly pitch because it provide variety of advantages to the bowler, helps in swinging the ball and the most interesting thing that is provide extra bounce to the bowler.

Australia, India, and South Africa are teams in this group that will be fighting for the top 2 spots. Indian W batting is looking good enough, but I am concerned about their bowling because their performance was not good in England W matches. Always their bowlers let them down.

Australia W could be at the top, while the winner between India W and South Africa W will go for the second spot, but I am personally supporting India W for this spot. They have a good chance of staying in the event till the last four, but still, SENA conditions are always not easy.

Any surprise is possible for me. The last four teams could be Australia, India, England, and New Zealand. Which team is supporting you?

Taking advantage of this, England are playing quite well and are batting at almost 10 runs an over. They have managed to reach 40 runs and haven't lost a wicket. Taking advantage of this, England are playing quite well and are batting at almost 10 runs an over. They have managed to reach 40 runs and haven't lost a wicket. Malki Madara just got the wicket of Amy Jones, but that has been the sole bright spot for England so far. Danni Wyatt-Hodge is still at the crease and she has been joined by the captain Nat Sciver-Brunt. Next to come are Alice Capsey, Heather Knight and Freya Kemp. England is in a very strong position. I am a bit surprised because Sri Lanka has a very experienced squad. They have players such as Chamari Athapaththu and Kavisha Dilhari, but none of them are successful with the ball so far. BTW, a lot of the Indians will be watching this match for Lauren Bell. She has a big fanbase there.

26 runs in the last over and 59 runs in the last 4 overs allowed England women to have 219 runs on board, a massive and impossible (IMO) target for Sri Lankan women to chase down in English condition. Sri Lanka women bowling was worst they had never been on track from the start of this match, but this gives good practice to England women for having a good start to their campaign in this women T20 world cup.

Danni Wyatt-Hodge made 105 runs on just 62 balls, while captain Nat Sciver-Brunt played a blitzing inning with 46 runs on just 22 balls. Amy Jones gives a good opening stand with Danni Wyatt for 135 runs. With this performance, it's going to be a one-sided affair for England women, and they can do well in upcoming matches as well. I am sure that my bet on England women will get me decent profits today.

I think Australia Women are still the team to beat. Group 1 looks very tough with India, South Africa, and Pakistan all fighting for the top spots. The England vs India warm-up game also showed that the gap between the top teams is not that big. A few good overs can change everything in T20 cricket.
And as for the underdogs; Sri Lanka and West Indies could upset a few teams. New Zealand are the defending champions too, so Group 2 won’t be easy.It will be interesting to see if Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, or West Indies can do better than people expect and make it to the knockout stage.

Eng team surprised everyone by scoring incredible runs in the first game of the World Cup.Eng Women scored 219 runs for the loss of only 1 player which is considered a big target and the Eng Women team was confident with these runs that they would winning.For Eng Wyatt Hodge scored 106 runs while the team captain remained not out after scoring 46 runs.I think the Eng Women team will be the most dangerous team of the T20 World Cup and will also be ranked number one. Talking about their opponents SL showed a very poor performance in the first game and suffered a massive defeat.Eng Women start was better.

England started well in the tournament, with a great and excellent victory against Sri Lanka women and the thing was so good that we had a century on the first day of the tournament, which was made by Danni Wyatt-Hodge. Since England had such a good lead in their innings, the pressure was lifted from the bowlers' shoulders, and they bowled calmly, resulting in the win.

Sri Lanka Women could only make 132 runs while chasing a target of over 200 runs. Nilakshika Silva and other middle orders players tried but the target was too high for them.
