Hey everyone,
I just stumbled across a wild rumor online and wanted to see if anyone here has the alpha on this.
Word on the street is that there's a new token launching on July 4TH (just in time for Independence Day), and rumor has it that Donald Trump already holds a massive bag of it in his personal wallet.
The most interesting part? The post I saw claimed the coin is somehow tied to the US Treasury and the recent surge in global oil prices. Could this be some sort of new digital petrodollar play, a hedge against inflation, or just another politically-themed meme coin trying to build hype?
Has anyone else seen this or tracked the wallet? If anyone has the contract address or more solid info, drop it below.
As always, DYOR!
This is dumb. You do know that i could make a token called $felon and make a webpage for it, then donate half of it to Donald Trump's public wallet to get people to speculate if he is involved. This has been common tactic until Vitalik decided to dump all his shitcoins and give the money to charity. After that it's been seen as questionable tactic for rest of the people holding it. I guess people have just forgotten that people who operate wallets for famous people can liquidate assets in there if needed.

Everyone should be careful, because this might just be another scam incoming, because it’s always there strategy to get people to start having interest in the cryptocurrency, by using President Trumps name and thinking that would give them a better chance of scamming people, whenever they want to scam people you start hearing such things that doesn’t make any sense to anyone, I trust people who have been into cryptocurrency for a longest time they will understand this strategy that is always used by this scammers.
Another failed project incoming.
How does US Treasury wants to establish a coin it doesn’t add up in anyway.

Nobody go out of their way to promote Trump's coin even going as far as promoting it on a bitcoin forum. Scammers can also create their own token and send some allocation to Trump's wallet it's nothing new. I smell scam from this post, to try attracting people's attention to the pump and dump scheme.

Most of us in this forum knows better than jumping on a train because it has the name "Donald Trump" affiliated to it, scammers can use any celebrities names to lure victims to a token. Besides Donald Trump's name doesn't freak me if it concerns a memecoin because him and Melanie's memecoins were failure so even if Trump, is holding this mystery coin it wouldn't move me a bit, exit scam can happen in any projects except Bitcoin. It is gullible investors who buys a memecoin because some celebrity somewhere is holding it that would be scammed when the project inevitably fails.

On a funnier side, Trump is not the type of guy to dump (burn) the coins like Vitalik did. He will rather sell the coins and cash the profit . Well, I'm done with Trump and his coins shit entirely. I was one of the buyers when Trump coin was on the rise, and the dude even confirmed it during some press conference or somewhere that it's his coin indeed, because initially there was a rumour that X got hacked and the tweet might not be real from his X account. Now I stay away from these hyped tokens because they have no utility and nothing, only hype which even if it is real, dies at some point in the future. It's always better to invest in random memetokens than these hype focused tokens. Anyone reading this post - stay away from such coins. More often than not, you will lose money unless you sell out at the right time.

This is a scheme just to involve Trump and make it appear that he is part of or interested in that token; scammers are doing this, Trump can deny this token, and that will end the scam.
Well, I think Trump really have an involvement on several cryptos before, although I think yeah, that because of that, a lot of impersonators have also come out in order to take advantage of the hype. Some aren't directly a scam but more on a pump and dump. So one may still earn at them, before Trump confirms that the token is not affiliated on him. And if Trump is involved in this token, people should be aware of Trump's history of manipulation. Honestly, I won't buy this token; there are so many manipulations in the market just for profit, so investors should do their own research and determine if Trump is really involved or just maniulation of the scammers to get investors interested.
Well, I think that they rather want to be manipulated by this guy because he can have a bigger impact than compared to those that are a legit fraudster. But there must still be people that hates Trump and can say the opposite, like they rather want to get manipulated by a random person, than him .

This is rumour right but we have seen how the previous rumoured Trump coin ended and this one is not going to be anything different from that also, highest thing that can happen is that traders will be ready to take advantage of the early launch pump that often come with such memecoins and because of their hypes the price will trigger and at the same time dump as usual so apply all risk measures.

And i am assuming that's what happened. Team that launche it probably had a contract where they paid for him to tweet about it, and do some few crappy meet and greet dinners. If this hype wasn't enough to pump the price up, why do some people still think it would go back up in the future? Where is the hype coming when president of USA don't make it happen.

Many will fall for this all in the name of Donald Trump. Because his name is attached to this, they will think it is reliable to invest in, and they will go in and buy so much of it. I think this is just a trap that people shouldn't fall for; these are the same tokens that are not reliable in the market. When influential names are attached to tokens, people always think it is a good project to invest in, and they buy with so much confidence. Donald Trump, who didn't believe in crypto, is having one now. I don't think this project was created by him; maybe some group of people chose to use his name because of how influential he is.

This is why, instead of doing anything towards the development of the coin, they simply started launching more coins like the Melania coin and whatnot. So if he's launching a new coin now and people are actually buying that shit, I'm sorry, but they deserve to lose money and I am sure they will. Trump might be pro-crypto and that's good in general but trusting and especially investing in his coins must be always a bad idea.

The rumor is loosely tied to Strategic American Oil Supply (SAOS). "SAOS is a Solana-based cryptocurrency token, not a traditional stock, and is considered a speculative, narrative-driven asset rather than a legitimate oil-backed investment"

If that is true, people will easily find out about it. It's not that hard to trace token ownership in crypto, but frankly people don't believe about this kind of rumour. And in the case this is true, only meme coin speculators will be willing to buy, we are in bearish and there has been many cryptocurrency that is just as similar as the one you mentioned and it has become tiring for the market.
Yes, it could be that this is just a trick of the meme developers in disguise to deceive investors, we know how hyped the TRUMP coin was in the early days as well as other coins related to the Trump family, so with that success rumors were spread and tried to hook a little hope for those who lost a lot of meme gambling, such narratives are easy to play in the media to deceive many people. Be careful with a rumor that is not clear, and actually I don't like the way Trump does such halls, maybe we can see people getting rich from buying trump coins at the beginning of the release, but afterwards many people also lost because they bought at the top, even their developers sold their coins which pushed the price down even more.

From what we've o served so far about the medium of new coins being published in the blockchain market, I'm sure hyping has always been a terminology the developer's uses to create awareness of the coins and while they'd claim the coins is attached to privacy, it'll be a very high risk for someone to just accept whatsoever said about the project to be true. The interest of Donald Trump in crypto has really been sabotage with unverified claims of him being attached to the project while all the rumours were just to hype the coin and with people learning that Donald Trump is also investing in it, they'll be convinced to also buy it. I prefer to buy new coins only when it has been listed in the exchange. Talking from experience because I know lot of person's that has fallen victim to it due to hype positioning high false expectations in them.

Trump is definitely pro-crypto but I do not think he really plans on launching a new token. There are already a few into existence which has caught Trump's attention so I think he would stick to those. For any other newly launched coin, I would not trust those even if they are backed by the world's most powerful country's president. I would still keep my distance because past has taught me a lot. I would still want to try my luck here regardless of the rumours. In this case, I would find a minimum investable amount to pour in this new token. Profit or loss would not really interest me due to the size of my investment. Most of us would not trust these kind of rumours but new people who recently got introduced to the blockchain space will run towards these rumours blindly. They would not even care about reading the complete article. These people deserve to lose money just so they can gain experience.

This kind of trick is outdated and those of us who are used to this kind of thing will not fall for it and buy that shit coin just because it's in Trump wallet. But if it's a beginner they can immediately believe and follow fomo to buy when in fact he is putting money into the scammer's pocket. It's a cheap trick that should no longer have an effect in the era of easily accessible fraudulent information.

Whether it's a rumor or a real leak, that doe not mean that we have to buy the coin when it's going to be available to the public. The crypto space has become a mess that anyone can do what they like without the government arresting them for crime they have committed. This is just a sort of hype to make many investors to take the opportunity before they are going to pump the coin. Trump is a wise man and he knows how create opportunities that will make him more money gradually.

On a contrary, the token that I was reading about just last night has already been launched and trading on two exchange, it's also said to be a token that is created by Trump, Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk, ( https://www.coingecko.com/en/coins/american-ai-fund) they call the token AAIF which means American AI Fund, I don't know if that's the one you are referring to or perhaps you don't know the name of the coins yet but I just perceive this as a scam, Trump already has the Trump token, so why create another token if not for some reason that I don't want to conclude on. However, this could also be an organized scam by some hackers out there.

I hardly believe this. One thing I learnt about modern world is never to trust news or online rumours. There are tons of people sitting out there just to benefits from these rumours. I do not believe Trump can get involved with any newly launched coins as we all know how unpredictable newly launched tokens are. Trump has a reputation to hold and I don't think he will risk it all just for some petty profits. I also do not believe Trump would look for some rugpull kind of move. He already has a lot of money and all he wants now is power which will never be his if he goes for such illicit activities.
Trump has turned out to be a great influence in cryptos so such rumours are well expected. People spreading these rumours just wants to feast onto people's emotions. Trump might have no idea about any of this.
It is pretty obvious that scammers tend to launch attractive schemes cornering national holidays. Let's not get carried away and always verify the source of the news. For rumours, you don't even have to pay attention as long as you want to keep your money safe.
