Is Nigeria really ready to host such reputable sporting events? Judging from the fact that we lack infrastructure capability and the technical know-how to be the centre for successfully hosting Formula 1, if we successfully pull this off, it will put Nigeria into global exposure and it is good for the economy.
My major concern now is security. With the ongoing banditry and kidnapping and Nigeria’s lack of successfully dealing with these criminals, what about the safety of these foreigners?
Do you think it is really the time to bid for this when most things in this country are not working to standard?
Let's hear your thoughts.

If the Nigeria officials feels like they are capable of hosting the F1, they are free to apply. It is left for the F1 governing body to access their facilities and consider other factors before approving or rejecting the application. I believe their are criteria to be considered before applying to host F1, and Nigeria officials feels they have met those requirements, so it is left for the people responsible for F1 to decide.

Government may not achieve it for now because people are very scared of this country and no matter how important the sports is no country would come, it just like how people are scared of any middle East country because of the war that's how they see Nigeria because you must make sure your home is very good before someone could agree to come. If I was not a Nigerian there is no sports they would have I would convince myself to go because my life is important. If Nigeria want everything to work is to stop terrorist and some hoodlum destroying the peace of most communities. Although I have not seen were they have prepared for the Formula 1 games but it shouldn't lack the necessary things in case of accident because is always very common as we watch sometimes.

Let me ask a general question. If anyone of you guys happen to be one of the foreigners that's expected to come around and with based on the current security challenges we're having in this present time, will you want to risk your life all because you are trying to do what? Just answer the question within yourself and be sincere about it because I know for sure nobody will wanna do that. As a matter of fact Nigeria has become the most or rather the highest country with insecurity issues and I can tell you for free and that's the fact. Forget that sometimes we try to paint it up but that's the bitter truth. Therefore, I will suggest we tackle the pressing issues we are having now which is the problem of insecurity before thinking of anything else.
