Why this report marked unhandled? Is duplicate post allowed nowadays?

I have never traded before so I'm curious.


A while back there were a ton of altcoins.  I know people mentioned about trading altcoins on binance and like pancakeswap and those sites.  Does this still happen much now or not anymore?


By altcoins, I mean more so on those coins that people talk about that 10x or more.  Thus I don't mean like litecoin or any of the top 20 Altcoins.


Are there altcoins that 10x or more much or is that mainly done?  What sites do you even look for coins like this?  By this, I mean lot of those meme coins mainly.  Several of these coins did get listed on Coinbase which made it more legit like Shiba Inu.


Are people that traded altcoins a lot a while back still able to do this anymore or not?  Are there new coins that are even good anymore?

All about he added new two line on the new thread, you can see from the above including posting times. I reported it June 5, today noticed it has marked unhandled. Means either moderators haven't noticed or ignored the report.

According to the forum rules duplicate post isn't allowed;

12. No duplicate posting in multiple boards (except for re-posting topics in the local language boards if they're translated and re-posting marketplace topics in the altcoin boards if altcoins are accepted).

Can you see the post is a duplicate? He just added two new lines to bypass the forum rules. Also the gap between two post is one minute only, means he has just copy paste his own post.

I am curious to know if these types of duplicate posts are allowed. If that's not the case, then why the report still unhandled?

How long has it been since you made the report and did you report both posts as duplicates or just one of them? Also have you made other reports recently that we're handled on the same board? Because that's the only way you can tell the board moderator has read it.

Nevertheless I have also added an extra report. That should assist in informing moderators about it. Global mods might step in if the board moderator isn't available at the moment though.

jerry0 has begun his questions again since few days ago.

The first one you quoted has all the information from the second one that you quoted, that means the second one supposed not to exist on the forum. Maybe it is left unhandled because both has many replies already, but I do not reason a reason the second thread supposed not to be deleted than that.

The moderator closed both topics, which means they reacted to your report. I suspect there were a lot of reports, and the moderator simply forgot to mark yours as good. I don't think you should worry too much about it, moderators are only human. I have over 200 unhandled reports myself.

This is a clear duplicate posts, one should be deleted and the other left for discussion.

Attaching a link of the duplicate post to the first post, makes the work easy for the moderators to compare and delete the duplicate.

jerry0 has begun his questions again since few days ago

jerry0 has the account reputation very bad with how he created topics for asking questions. I remembered his username, and even don't need to check his trust feedback for knowing that.

If you and the others don't know about it, or forget about it, checking his account's trust feedback page, and there are feedbacks about his topic creation style.
There are already five years but jerry0 did not change. The account was woken up but likely user is still the same, no account changed hands.

I haven't been very active in the Wallet Software and Hardware Wallet subs lately and that's where he usually makes his repetitions every couple of years or months. This is the first time I see him post about altcoins. In the past, it was morbid and repetitive questions of how does everyone verify their wallets, how to install firmware, how long people usually wait to update Ledger Live, what's the worse thing that can happen if you do this and that...

Jerry is a weird one. I never understood the goal behind his posts. He isn't learning anything and it doesn't seem he can or wants to.

I never looked at the situation that way before. If a moderator has tens or several hundred reports, it is understandable that if each one has to be manually marked as "good" then oversights could be common. Maybe that is something that can be added to the forum in future in order to support the moderators with a one-click update for all associated reports.

He's not weird, but I feel like he is AI or a bot. A single answer isn't enough for him; he keeps asking for more questions even though all he needs is already posted from the thread.

I recently responded to some of his threads about hardware wallets, but he keeps asking questions that are unrelated to the topic, and he sometimes double posts different content instead of editing and merging them together.
It is more like AI automation; every time we respond, he comes up with a new one right away and is never satisfied with our reply.

I don't think he's using AI/chatbot, because he's been doing such thing even before ChatGPT exist. Check jerry0 case. After few years, i decided to left him a neutral tag and mostly ignore him.

Me neither. He seems like a person with no confidence in himself, questioning every decision he makes and inventing dozens of possible scenarios that can happen.

He will ask how to update his software wallet and you tell him to click the update button. His next question will then be how most people click that button. You tell him to point his mouse cursor on it and click and he will ask what if I lose internet immediately after clicking, what if I drop my phone, what if my laptop's battery dies and the screen goes dark, what if there is an error, etc. He seems to lack situational awareness and wants instructions for everything.

Perhaps it's a personality disorder. He is always uncertain and shows anxiety. Everything looks like a big problem to him.

I can't recall if thread were locked during writing this post. Still I believe second thread should be trashed. I am not worried and it doesn't matter if the report remains unhandled, but this case I haven't found the reason for keep that unhandled.
