Long ago, the president of the 2026 FIFA World Cup stated that spectators and fans can access the official website regarding world cup matches, They can buy World Cup tickets officially from the official application provided, for that apart from official sites circulating on the internet or other social media, it means fraudulent tickets.

Even though some sporting events can be regulated, such as certain leagues, the risk is quite high, if caught there are heavy sanctions, ranging from millions of dollars in fines to prison.
For this reason, I am sure that in the world cup football tournament the chances of cheating the match are 0 because the world cup is about the reputation of the country, only those who do not understand and there is no official information will believe in the persuasion of fraudsters regarding world cup information.

Most times is not because people are foolish but because greed and desperation can cloud their judgement. When someone has the believe that they have access to special information that others don't have, they can stop thinking things through.and scammers understands this kind of psychology very well enough, and that's why those people that are are well experienced and educated most times fall for the tricks which seems obvious or easy to spot. The smartest way of approach is to stay cautious whenever a guaranteed results or inside info is being promised by anyone.

I doubt in the sense that, this is a four-year event that most countries have prepared hard to participate in the World Cup. It is not what they will agree to have their match fixed because every of the countries in the World Cup wants to make history in the World Cup, as they advanced to a good position in the World Cup with a good match record. Having a country to fix their match because of gamblers to lose or win their bets is not what countries will easily comply with because they are representing their country in the World Cup tournament.

Bigger league are majority never and ever have a chance to be fixed cause the cost is to heavy. If you ask me, can the match being fixed ? My answer yes for small league, but no for something like Premier league or world cup.

Scammers can scam you with anything and they use whatever, is trending at that moment to make you rush into it because it looks real to you. I believe that there will be a lot of fake tickets sales at this time because getting it is very expensive and some people will fall for them just to get it sharperly. Nothing is impossible about match fixing in this world cup. Just like the last world cup in Qatar that Saudi Arabia won Argentina 2-1. I feel that match was fixed.

I do not really agree with the fact that the World cup tournament would be having anything match fixing because the day such happens, the tournament would be a caricature of itself losing value and trust and nobody would likely be interested in it anymore because it could be tagged a waste of time. This is why every offense during the world cup is greeted with punitive measures to instill discipline and orderliness in the system. So I don't see anyways the world cup tournament would experience a possible match fixing scenario except for scammers who would want to take advantage of gullible gamblers ignorance to scam them as that is always their ways of scamming.

People think very foolishly, this type reasoning cannot escape those that are either addicted to gambling or those that are close to getting addicted.

The scam in the US though is systemic.
Look at any FIFA world cup match and you'll see a ton of empty seats. And yet tickets were up to the thousands which is a crazy phenomenon especially for US hosted matches.

They fixed the prices high, and for the few fair priced tickets they allowed reselling.
Reselling is somehow allowed in the US even though only one company contributed to the price gouging of nearly all tickets.

So of course there will be scams with tickets.

Scammers taking advantage of the whole process of high tickets fees and with the hassles in finding reservations in hotels they know that world cup seekers will want to take any available opening offered them seeing how they can source this things at discount cost.

Do you think FIFA will go too low to creating fix matches? I do not believe it cause what mainly bring about fix matches is aimed to make money. What money will FIFA be making from that which he cannot make with all the tickets and sponsorships it is getting from the world cup.

Ignorance can pretty much make people to believe anything, of the scammer is charming and intelligent enough to push their ideas into the head of their victims. Now, with the advance of artificial intelligence it has become even easier for scammers to convince poorly educated and ignorant people about some match in the world cup being rigged (and they somehow got that privileged information to sell it to others).
Being a fool and being ignorant are completely different things when comes to betting.
People from developing countries where match fixing can be a common phenomenon, may believe it is the same in countries and leagues where there are highest standards for the morality of players and club owners.

Since there are a ton of scammers who like to take advantage of sports and betting markets through all the year, It is not surprising they will also try to take advantage of people who bet during the world cup.

I've heard news of match fixing happening in lower football leagues that ain't very organized, it would be very easy to bribe officials or owners of clubs that ain't very wealthy in those leagues and I heard it's done by members of some organised crime groups so I can agree with you that it's possible in such leagues.
 But this is the World Cup, a more organized tournament that involves national teams of different countries in all continents, how would people be so dumb to feel that match fixing could happen in such a tournament! The OP is right to say that "they're foolish".

Those who are desperate and looking for an easy way to make money can fall victim to the fake scam token scheme, and anyone who believes in match-fixing can also buy into that scheme, as it's not the entire World Cup game that's the scammer will convince their victim is fixed, but it's going to be a thing of working with one of the playing countries to agree the game goes by how they agree. Fixing the World Cup? I don't like to believe that, but it can happen.

Seriously, I have doubts that they can manipulate, considering big names will probably be there, and big gamblers will also be placing their bets for their favorite team. Those scams that you mentioned are outside their control. Fake tickets have been happening even in small events. Creating memecoins using the hype is also one of the popular things that happens every time there's a big upcoming event.

I don't think it can be fixed, but who knows. We don't really know what is going on behind the curtains, where leaders can use their power to fix the game.

This is a normal tactical scams that unfolds during major events.. World Cup is no exception and it has a lot of hype around the world.. Imagine an event  that brings countries together with Billions of people watching to see a final outcome.

There should be even worse that aren’t on the list yet. But some are quite obvious scam yet, we will have greedy victims trying to make easy money through it.

Do anyone really believe games  are fixed in World Cup ? . Only some officials can get corrupted and that doesn’t mean the team they will favor will emerge winner.. they  also risk getting banned and  facing serious penalties from FIFA.. making it very hard thing to do.

Many people are still going to get scammed, unfortunately. Some of these scams are so sophisticated that they seem legitimate, and people will fall for them out of desperation, greed, or both.

As for match fixing, I agree that anyone who believes it is possible is simply foolish.
