POH — Modular AI Network
Owned by its community. Not controlled by any single government, company, or server.
════════════════════════════════════════════════════

What happens when a handful of companies control all the AI?
Right now, almost every AI system in the world runs on servers owned by a small number of corporations. They decide what the AI can say, what it can see, and who gets access. Governments pressure them. They comply. You never know.

This is a problem that gets worse as AI gets more important.

════════════════════════════════════════════════════

What is POH?

POH is a modular, peer-to-peer AI network that runs on the computers of the people using it — not on any company’s servers.

Think of it like Bitcoin, but instead of processing financial transactions, it processes AI jobs. The “miners” are regular people running a lightweight app on their laptop or desktop. Each node is fully independent: you choose the models, the datasets, the tools, and the skills. Jobs come in, nodes compete, results are verified, and payments settle on-chain. No central point. No single country. No single company that can be pressured into shutting it down or changing how it behaves.

Your AI. Your network. No single controller.

Because the network is modular, anyone can serve exactly what they believe matters most. Want to run a specialized medical model with private research datasets? Do it. Want to expose custom tools via MCP so the whole network can call them? Do it. Want to host niche knowledge that no big lab cares about? The network will find you when someone needs it.

════════════════════════════════════════════════════

How it works

1. Download the POH Miner (Windows / Mac / Linux).
2. Choose your models (Llama, Qwen, or any open model).
3. Host your own datasets and private knowledge — only your instances ever see them.
4. Wire external tools and services via MCP.
5. Your computer joins the network as an independent node.
6. Jobs are posted with a budget. Matching nodes compete and execute. The fastest valid result wins.
7. Work is verified on-chain. You get paid directly — stablecoins or POH. No middleman takes a cut.

You control what runs on your machine. The network is pure composition: models + datasets + skills + MCP tools, assembled by whoever decides to contribute them.

════════════════════════════════════════════════════

Skills — Teaching the Network New Things

The network is not limited to one use case. Skills are small programs (agents, tools, specialized logic) that run on nodes across the network. Anyone can write one and deploy it. The network finds the right skill for the job.

Examples:
  • Detect suspicious patterns in smart contract code
  • Score a transaction for wash trading
  • Classify on-chain behavior for compliance
  • Summarize documents, extract structured data, reason step-by-step
  • Any other “look at this, tell me what you see” task

You write the logic once. Publish it. The network runs it across machines, and you earn every time it’s used.

════════════════════════════════════════════════════

Why This Matters

Quote
Governments can pressure a company. They cannot pressure a protocol.

The problem with centralized AI is not just privacy or cost. It is that the entity controlling the AI controls what questions can be asked, what answers can be given, and who gets cut off.

Code:
  Centralized AI                 POH
  ───────────────                ───────────────────────────
One company owns it            Network owned by its users
One country can ban it         No single country to ban
One server to subpoena         Thousands of private machines
Model changes when pressured   Protocol changes by consensus
You pay per API call           You earn by contributing
One team decides what matters  Anyone can serve what they believe matters most

A network of independent nodes — each running the models, datasets, and MCP tools its operator chooses — does not have a throat to choke.

No single country can ban it. No company can be acquired and pivoted. No government can send a letter demanding changes to the model.

The AI belongs to the network. The network belongs to whoever runs a node.

════════════════════════════════════════════════════

Current Status (August 2026)

Code:
✓  POH Miner 0.4.22 live — one download, Windows / Mac / Linux
✓  Fully modular nodes: choose models, host private datasets, wire MCP tools
  ✓  Peer-to-peer job market + on-chain settlement
✓  Skills system active — deploy agents/tools and earn per job
✓  Testnet ongoing (balances & history carry to mainnet)
✓  Open protocol — run a node, build a skill, or fork the code
✓  One open API for jobs, chat, search, P2P queries

Wow, this is interesting. Very interesting. Same as Bitcoin protocol. I love this. There are some questions that I would love to ask, but this AI we have right now are almost dodging the questions. If I may ask, do you mean that we can ask it any questions and it will give us? Any. I know why I am emphasing on the word any. Current AI holds back a lot of things. Using AI to learn a skill is good but it holds out information. As you know this in our current world that information runs most of the shows. Any question, that would be nice. Freedom in the palms of my hand. Now, it will be up to us to use it for good. I know people will use it for bad als, but it's best good people get in on this fast too.  Will love to see how this later turns out. Freedom as last.

I tried running your website and this is what I got. You should look into that.

Firstly, regarding the website. It might be that you've opened it while I was publishing updates. Can you check it again now?

Secondly, my idea is to deliver the infrastructure for AI-compute, but you are free to ship any skills  Wink

Anthropic is limiting access to Fable and Mythos.

That's what I am talking about...

AI has it's "owner", but with https://proofofhuman.ge ownership is shared with community

New Video

Yesterday, was the largest IPO in history. AI-compute is one of the most valuable resources of this decade. Infrastructure spend is reaching trillions. Orbital AI-compute by SpaceX is a great example.

The efficient path? Leverage millions of idle laptops via Proof of Human.

I think you can move this one here: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0

Is there any token economics for this? How does that work? Or there's an unlimited supply (POH) on it as long as your miner does a job? It's not that I'm not pro to making this decentralized but I think centralization has its own advantages as well. Yeah just yesterday Fable was disabled to non-US residents but if it could undermine national security that's another level of threat.

I think this is a novel idea and it probably will scale but I'm afraid with the way how the miner works because we know token using a model is expensive especially if you use those models that includes higher usage (e.g. Fable, Opus 4.8, GPT-5.5). Does mining have to rely on models too?

Let me figure out how to do it...  Grin Grin

Thank you for the questions! Still defining tokenomics, Currently, the supply is unlimited, correct. As long as miner does a job. The way it work is miners have to simply launch an app on linux/mac/windows/server. When new AI job or task is broadcasted to the network - miners pick it up and compete to solve it first and get the reward.

It's not that I'm not pro to making this decentralized but I think centralization has its own advantages as well. Yeah just yesterday Fable was disabled to non-US residents but if it could undermine national security that's another level of threat.

Indeed, both decentralized and centralized have it's own pros and cons, but as of now I see more cons of centralization. For example, there can be some sort of sanctions that would limit AI in one or another country (just for the sake of AI race advantage). Secondly, centralized AI can be biased or prioritize truth, responses in a way that is more applicable to the stakeholders. Additionally, as you know AI wipes out a lot of jobs and again, all value from replacement lands in USA Smiley Nothing personal against USA, but they wiping out jobs not only in USA.

I think this is a novel idea and it probably will scale but I'm afraid with the way how the miner works because we know token using a model is expensive especially if you use those models that includes higher usage (e.g. Fable, Opus 4.8, GPT-5.5). Does mining have to rely on models too?

That is the best part of Proof of Human, you don't pay any subscriptions, instead every miner has local inference that is used to execute jobs. LLMs that are used are open source and can be customized. For example, I am testing mixtral, qwen, deepseek, llama

Introducing Skills: Teach the Network Anything

Proof of Human started with one question: is this wallet a real person or a bot?

Skills let you teach the network new capabilities and extend what the AI can do.

What Is a Skill?

A skill is a small program that runs on computers across the Proof of Human network. You give it an input (text, data, a question, an image, a file, etc.), and it uses the AI model running on that machine to process it and return a result.

Skills turn the base AI into something much more powerful. Instead of being limited to what the core model knows, anyone can add new abilities on top of it.

You write the logic. The network runs it.

What Can a Skill Do?

A skill can add almost any capability you can describe to the AI. It lets developers create custom functionality for the LLM and solve specific problems.

Examples include:

  • Summarize long documents or conversations
  • Answer questions using private or custom knowledge
  • Analyze text for sentiment, intent, or specific patterns
  • Classify content into categories
  • Extract structured data from unstructured text
  • Reason step-by-step through complex problems
  • Generate reports, code, or creative content
  • Perform specialized analysis based on your own rules or criteria

If you can clearly describe what you want the AI to do, you can turn it into a skill.

How It Works

Skills run directly on each computer in the network — not on a central server. When a job is submitted, the network sends it to a machine that has the skill active. The AI processes the input locally and returns the result.

Every skill runs inside a secure container. It cannot access files on the computer, make unauthorized connections, or interfere with other processes. The output is always clean and structured.

This design keeps everything decentralized while giving developers full control over the logic.

Launching a Skill

1. Write it
A skill is a JavaScript module that exports a run(input, config) function. It receives the job input and returns a result.

2. Propose it
Submit your skill to the network with a short description and a 1,000 POH deposit. This helps keep the system serious and high-quality.

3. Get community support
Other POH holders can stake behind your skill. Once the total staked reaches 10,000 POH, the skill goes live automatically.

4. It spreads automatically
Once approved, the skill appears on every computer in the network within seconds. No manual installation or coordination is needed.

5. Earn from every use
Every time your skill processes a real job, you earn a share of the fee. The more useful and widely used your skill is, the more it earns.

The Skills Directory

The Skills Directory is the place to discover active skills, stake behind skills you believe in, and submit your own.

Each skill shows:
  • What it does
  • How much POH is staked behind it
  • Its current status (proposed, staking, or active)
  • Earnings history once it's live

Skills that lose support can be deprecated. New versions or improvements can be proposed at any time.

For Developers

Quote
Build once. Earn forever.

Create a skill that adds new functionality to the AI, propose it, and get it staked to 10,000 POH. Once live, it runs across the entire network and you earn a share of every job it handles — indefinitely.

You don't need to run servers or maintain infrastructure. You write the logic once, and the network takes care of everything else.

Browse the Skills Directory: https://proofofhuman.ge

For Businesses

Quote
Add custom AI logic across many computers — without building infrastructure.

If you need specialized AI behavior (classification, analysis, reasoning, data extraction, etc.), you can create a private skill and run it on the computers you control. Your custom logic runs locally, results come back structured, and you pay per job.

No model hosting. No API maintenance. No data sent to third-party servers.

PoH Miner v0.4.2 — Testnet Round 2

Testnet Round 2 is now live

Quote
Network reset: Bootnodes restart today at 16:00 UTC.
This is a fresh start — delete your old chain data and restart.
Your wallet address stays the same.

The network is growing, and Testnet Round 2 is the next step toward mainnet. We're running several public testing rounds to make sure everything is solid before the real thing launches — and this is one of them.

---

Where We're Headed

PoH Mainnet is coming. Before we get there, we're running a structured series of public testnet rounds — each one broader, longer, and closer to real conditions than the last.

The plan:

  • Testnet Round 2 (now) — Open to everyone. Run a node, explore the wallet, try the P2P market and AI Skills. Help stress-test the network at scale.
  • Mainnet — The real network. We need as many nodes online at launch as possible — the more nodes on day one, the stronger and more decentralised it starts.
---

Pre-Mainnet Testnet — Incentives for Early Node Operators

The final testnet before mainnet carries a real consequence: your testnet balance carries over.

When the last testnet round ends, every wallet balance is snapshotted and written into the mainnet genesis block. Anyone who earned POH on the final testnet will have that balance on mainnet from block zero — no re-earning, no airdrop process, no waiting. You show up at launch already holding coin.

This gives early node operators a meaningful head start. Mining during the final testnet is effectively pre-mining on mainnet terms.

We are also looking for bootnode operators.
A bootnode is a lightweight always-on node that helps new miners find the network. It doesn't need to run the full AI stack — just a reliable server with good uptime. If you can commit to running a bootnode with close to 100% uptime, get in touch. Bootnode operators will be part of the core network infrastructure from day one.

If you're interested in either — running a node through the final testnet or operating a bootnode — reach out to us at https://t.me/poh_network_group

---

What's New in v0.4.2

The network is running well. This release makes it run better — stronger consensus, cleaner P2P mechanics, and the first version of the AI wallet.

Network & Consensus
The consensus layer has been hardened. Fork detection is more reliable, peer synchronisation is smoother, and nodes handle high-traffic conditions without falling behind. The foundation is solid for the higher node counts coming in the next rounds.

P2P Exchange
The P2P market is working correctly. Escrow handles all edge cases — cancellations, timeouts, disputes — and funds always end up where they should. Block reward accounting is accurate and tamper-resistant.

Wallet v0.3.2 — AI Chat
The wallet app now includes a built-in AI chat connected directly to your local node (or the nearest peer). No central server, no API key. This is the first live piece of the Skills system — a way for anyone to teach the network a new capability and earn POH every time someone uses it.

---

How to Upgrade

Quote
Stop your running miner before upgrading.

Step 1 — Remove old chain data
Old data is incompatible with v0.4.2. Delete the `chain` folder only — your wallet keypair lives in the `wallets` folder and is not affected.

Windows — File Explorer:
1. Press Win + R, paste `%USERPROFILE%\.poh-miner` and press Enter
2. Delete the chain folder
3. If you ran a bootnode: also open `%USERPROFILE%\.poh-bootnode` and delete its contents

macOS — Finder:
1. In Finder press ⌘ Shift G, paste `~/.poh-miner` and press Enter
2. Delete the chain folder (move to Trash)
3. If you ran a bootnode: repeat for `~/.poh-bootnode`

Linux — Files / Nautilus:
1. Open your file manager, press Ctrl + H to show hidden folders
2. Navigate to your home folder → `.poh-miner`
3. Delete the chain folder
4. If you ran a bootnode: repeat for `.poh-bootnode`

Or use the terminal:

Code:
# macOS / Linux
rm -rf ~/.poh-miner/chain
rm -rf ~/.poh-bootnode

Code:
# Windows (cmd)
rmdir /s /q "%USERPROFILE%\.poh-miner\"
rmdir /s /q "%USERPROFILE%\.poh-bootnode"

---

Step 2 — Install the update

Linux (x64) — AppImage:
Code:
curl -L https://miner.proofofhuman.ge/binaries/poh-miner-linux-x64.AppImage -o poh-miner.AppImage
chmod +x poh-miner.AppImage
./poh-miner.AppImage

Linux (x64) — .deb (Ubuntu / Debian):
Code:
curl -L https://miner.proofofhuman.ge/binaries/poh-miner-linux-x64.deb -o poh-miner.deb
sudo dpkg -i poh-miner.deb

Linux — one-line easy install (recommended):
Code:
curl -fsSL https://miner.proofofhuman.ge/scripts/easy-start.sh | bash

Windows: poh-miner-windows-x64.exe
Linux .deb: poh-miner-linux-x64.deb
Linux .AppImage: poh-miner-linux-x64.AppImage
Mac: TBA

Option B — Git (developers / server nodes):
Code:
cd ~/poh-miner
git pull
npm install
npm start

Option C — Headless server (CLI):
Code:
cd /path/to/poh-miner
git pull
npm install
npm start:headless

---

Step 3 — Start mining
Once restarted, your node will connect to the bootnodes, sync from block 0, and begin mining automatically.

---

Connect

See you on the network.

Why We Need More Bootnodes — And Why You Should Run One

Every decentralized network needs a front door. For Proof of Human, that front door is called a bootnode — and right now, there are only two of them. We think that needs to change, and we're looking for community members willing to run one.

What's a Bootnode, Really?

Think of joining the PoH network like showing up at a huge, ongoing meetup with thousands of people — except nobody's wearing name tags, and there's no front desk. How do you find anyone?

A bootnode is that front desk. It's the first place a new miner checks in when it starts up. The bootnode doesn't control the network or hold any special power over it — it simply knows who else is around, and it points new arrivals in the right direction: "here's who's currently active, and here's how far along the shared ledger is, so you can catch up."

Once a miner has that introduction, it talks directly to other miners from then on. The bootnode's job is done — until the next new miner shows up and needs the same introduction.

Why It Matters So Much

A bootnode handles two jobs that everything else depends on:

1. Peer discovery — it's how a brand-new miner finds anyone else on the network at all. Without it, a new node is talking to nobody.

2. Catching up — if a miner has been offline for a while (or is starting completely fresh), the bootnode is how it downloads the blockchain history it missed, so it's working from the same shared truth as everyone else.

Here's the part that should give everyone pause: today, that front desk is staffed by exactly two servers, both run by the core team. They've been reliable. But "reliable so far" isn't the same as "can't fail" — and a network that calls itself decentralized shouldn't have its front door held open by just two people.

What We Just Improved

We recently strengthened the system so a miner isn't completely stuck if both of those servers happen to be unreachable at the same moment. The network already keeps a shared, community-sourced directory of known miners and a record of recent blockchain history — spread across the network via IPFS, the same kind of distributed storage technology used by other open, censorship-resistant projects. We made sure miners actually use that backup directory when they're trying to catch up, not just when they're looking for someone to chat with.

That's a real safety net. But a safety net isn't the same as a strong front door. The healthiest version of this network has many independent entry points, run by many different people, in many different places — not two servers that happen to belong to the same team.

We're Looking for People to Run Bootnodes

This is where you come in.

Running a bootnode is different from running a regular miner — it doesn't do AI compute or mine blocks. It's a small, lightweight relay: it stays online, keeps track of who's active, and helps new and returning miners find their footing. If you're comfortable keeping a small server running around the clock — a cheap cloud instance is plenty — this is one of the most genuinely useful things you can contribute to the network.

Why it's worth doing:

  • You become one of the network's actual entry points — not just a participant, but part of its foundation.
  • More independent bootnodes means the network survives any single outage, regional issue, or bad day for any one operator — including us.
  • It's a small footprint with an outsized impact: a handful of dedicated people running bootnodes in different regions makes the whole network meaningfully harder to take down and meaningfully easier to trust.

This is true decentralization — not just spreading out who does the computing, but spreading out who holds the front door open.

The Bottom Line

Two servers got us here. They won't be enough to get us to mainnet and beyond. If you want to put real skin in the game for a network you believe in, this is one of the clearest ways to do it — not by trusting the network to stay decentralized, but by making it that way yourself.

Your Computer Can Earn From AI. Here's How.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Most people pay to use AI. PoH miners get paid to run it.

We are live on testnet right now — and that's exactly why this is the right moment to start. The miners who join during testnet are the ones who build the balances, the reputation, and the history that carry forward to mainnet. Early is always better when the network is still small and every block you mine counts.

When someone submits an AI job on the Proof of Human network — a question, a compute task, a dataset job — miners process it and earn stablecoins and POH tokens for the work. Your device does the computing. You collect the reward. No middleman.

v0.4.14 just made this more powerful.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

WHY JOIN DURING TESTNET

This is not "play money."

Testnet balances are the foundation. When PoH moves to mainnet, early miners carry their history and balances with them. The people who started now will be the ones the community already knows — with blocks mined, jobs processed, and a wallet that proves they were here from the beginning.

The network is small right now. That means less competition for jobs, a real voice in how things develop, and a place at the table when mainnet launches. Every major network has a group of people who were early. This is that window.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

WHAT YOU ACTUALLY GET AS A MINER

Earn from idle compute.
Every AI job processed through your node earns you POH. The more capable your setup, the more work it can take on.

Choose your own models and datasets.
Install any Hugging Face dataset directly from Settings. Pick the AI models you want to run. You control what your miner does — nobody else decides that for you.

Every payment is verified on-chain.
Signed payments are now required for all compute and skill jobs. No fake fees, no disputes. You get paid what was agreed, enforced at the protocol level.

Your job history lives on the blockchain.
Every AI request processed by your node is recorded permanently. Transparent, verifiable, yours.

A blockchain explorer built in.
Browse blocks, search wallets, see exactly what your miner has processed — right from the desktop app.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

WHAT IT TAKES TO START

  • A Mac, Windows PC, or Linux machine
  • A working internet connection
  • 10 minutes to install and configure

That's it. The app handles everything else — chain sync, search indexing, wallet setup. No Docker, no server, no cloud account required.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

WHY THIS MATTERS

AI compute today runs through a handful of data centers. You send a request, it gets processed somewhere you can't see, you get an answer back. You have no say in what runs, what it costs, or where your data goes.

PoH is built differently. The compute is distributed across miners — real people running real hardware. Jobs are queued on-chain, payments are signed, results are verifiable. Anyone can participate. Anyone can earn.

Running a miner isn't just about the tokens. It's a stake in infrastructure that actually belongs to the people running it. And right now, during testnet, it costs nothing but the time to set it up.
