What is Gaelium?

Gaelium is a proof-of-work cryptocurrency built on the KawPoW algorithm (a Ravencoin fork), made for fair, ASIC-resistant GPU mining. No ICO. No private sale. Coins are earned by mining.

The idea is simple: a scarce, censorship-resistant, community-owned digital money - a real alternative to centralized, surveillance-friendly central bank digital currencies. Fixed supply, transparent emission, fully open code.

A word before you start

Gaelium is not a weekend project. We have spent many months building, testing and fixing everything that needed to be fixed to make it as solid and professional as possible before opening it to the public. The wallets, the pool, the explorer and the node infrastructure are all live and have been running and hardened for months, not days. We wanted the project to be in a state we are genuinely proud of before asking anyone to point a GPU at it.

Tokenomics & Fair Launch

99% mined / 1% premine. The 990,000,000 GAEL mining allocation is distributed purely through proof-of-work. The 1% premine (10,000,000 GAEL) funds development, server infrastructure, exchange listings and marketing - and the premine address is public on the explorer for anyone to verify.

Early Miner Bonus. The first 200 blocks are mined by the team to validate the chain. Public mining opens at block 201. After block 1,000, the rewards from blocks 1-200 (200,000 GAEL) are redistributed to the top 10 miners by their contribution during blocks 201-1,000. Early support is rewarded.

GPU mining with any KawPoW-capable miner (T-Rex, GMiner, TeamRedMiner, lolMiner, ...).

Note: the desktop wallets are not code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen or macOS Gatekeeper may show a warning on first launch. This is expected for now. Code signing certificates are coming in a future 1.0.x release. In the meantime, the SHA256SUMS above let you verify that your download is the genuine file.
