If you are someone who believe that they are not so smart around Linux like myself it's better to avoid Linux OS all together, some are stronger than the other but that's not even why I am talking about this.
But if you don't start using Linux, you will never learn to use it properly.
Some people are just too dumb to handle Linux OS especially those with advanced distros,
Some people are so dumb that they shouldn't even touch a PC (with any OS).

you installing new things that comes your way can get you malware still.
This can happen on any OS. It's not a Linux issue, it's a user issue.
Attacks and malwares are possible on Linux OS, make sure you understand what you are getting into,
Any tool (OS) must be used correctly; otherwise, misuse can only cause harm. You can either configure OS security yourself or use special OS builds focused on security.
this is the only way that you can protect yourself and also every crypto wallets you stored on any Linux OS,
This is to buy hardware wallet.

Something that's made from scratch for one purpose only ( like hardware wallets ) is always better than something that was made from scratch for many things.
I think this is not a completely correct comparison of the OS (Linux) with hardware wallet (differ in the tasks perform).
