This kind of situation is usually caused by overconfidence and greed. After few wins, someone will start feeling like they don't  understanding the game or there is still luck, so it turn out to be difficult to stop playing. The funny thing is that taking profits requires self discipline same as the same as winning. So you see alot of gamblers do not really lose because they can't win, but dey do lose because they don't know when you say to themselves that it's enough or they should go fit a break

The feeling is called regret and it comes to us only when we could have avoided all those things if we had done the right thing but we didn't so we have to live with that.

This happens a lot in gambling and when you can achieve a win, later you think that maybe if you place a few more bets, you will get a better profit. When you plan to place bets gradually and later you see that the profit is less than expected, such a plan does not bring us anything good at all. However, when someone wins a bet, you must stop, otherwise if you are greedy, you will not be able to protect your money at all, but all your money will be lost. Many times, without withdrawing the profit, people think that maybe if they place a few more bets, they will get more profit, and they lose more of their money due to that greed. Op aside from how you put it, you could also win and didn't loss the money but still feels like you lost the bet because of what you got against what you could have won if you had doubled the amount on the gambling because I recall of a time when I decided to go for a parlay method and I took a lot games on that slip, knowing that is always a difficult means to win but I decided to have the fun no matter how it comes out but with a stake of small amount, but actually when i realized that I have won all the games instead of being happy I began to feel unsatisfied and lost to the gambling because it was the opportunity to get more than what I had, so actually the lost feeling could also come in this way.

I have a friend that won $43 with $5 while gambling many years ago, but he was feeling unhappy. Oh definitely a big YES! There were multiple times that I won the very first hour during my gambling spree but everything were exhausted after the next 10-15 minutes due to continuous losing streaks and greed.

The problem arises whenever you become greedy with your wins especially if you come to a point that you tend to chase your losses. Once that cycle starts, you would slowly notice that all of your winnings, including your allocated budget, would disappear in the next 10-15 minutes. Of course this is the main reason of gambling addiction, when people complain about Gambling addiction, this is what causes it. Because when they are in a wining streak, they keep gambling hoping it keep going continuously, and when they begin to lose they feel like there is still hope left to recover. I don't know how to describe this than to say that such person is been consumed by greed, they wanted more before they start to gamble, assuming all they want is to win they wouldn't want to waste the opportunity away.

Once you start feeling like what you won isn't enough you are the problem, you clearly aren't satisfied with your win and that's why you want to use that money to try even more which mostly have turned wrong.

Gambling is a game of luck, there is no confirm that we will win the same way the second time by winning the first time because luck is not always on our side. When moments like this come, the regret is often twice as strong. I think it would have been better to just lose right away, rather than make a profit that was only temporary. Right after that, i reflected, i shouldn’t have kept playing and should have cashed out all my winnings right away. But what’s done is done, regret is pointless. It's normal for people to loss after a huge win especially when they're not easily satisfied. One of the best logic that I have adopted so far in my journey as a gambler is to appreciate any win that I get, provided it's more than 2x of the money I'm gambling with it's enough to buy me a launch and I should feel a sense of relief for having won that day or session. Loosing everything back to the casino or sportsbook use to be my thing at first until I realized it can't help me in any way. All I'm saying is that we should work on having a specific range or amount that if we hit it in a session we'll decide to quit for that day and probably buy something with that win rather than continue gambling you lose everything back to the casino.

This should be normal for every gambler, but sometimes I personally don't stay too long in the casino once I make a significant win. What kills some gamblers is their inability to accept wins or loss. Some gamblers tell themselves that after this last round, win or loss they will be done. Unfortunately it's much difficult to carry out an action than saying it. They find their selfs repeating same mistakes over and over again, losses upon losses simply because they lacked acceptance. When we accept our wins as they are, it's much better way to end each gambling session than ending up losing everything and being frustrated as well.
