I actually feel like this feeling is a form of self awareness of one's greed we just dont want to put a label on it. I think we have all felt this way in one form or another. The act of greed is always wanting more and never being fully satisfied. Addiction can follow. The only way to cure greed is to give against one's own pride and humble yourself. It doesn't happen with me; whenever I gambled, it meant losing. I have got balances from various casinos for testing. When I was campaign manager, I never won. But I have seen one of my friends win a significant amount of money and decide to stop gambling that day and sell his withdrawal. But he never sleeps; because it's night, he has no shelter and did not retreat. So he decided to gamble again and lost everything.

That thing happened to everyone and it happened to me as well. When I was new to gambling, I mostly gamble without responsibility and in those days I've faced some losses because I wanted to increase the won amount and I din't know much about house edge and about gambling responsibility at that time.

Anyone can be safe from such losses by being a responsible gambler because someone who's a responsible gambler will never cross his/her limits and he/she always gambles with responsibility and for fun. Actually this situation is more important than greed, it is the game of dopamine in the head, which happens to more or less everyone. This is the main problem of most gamblers. I have also faced this problem quite a few times. After getting a win my mentality is to stop playing but at that time a kind of greed awakens in me in the hope of getting more wins and to bet more but I do not realize that winning next time is uncertain. The problem is not withdrawing your profits when you secure a good win, gambling is filled with uncertainty, so you take any opportunity when you got the chance because it might not come back again. I make sure to withdraw my winnings when I hit them, at least leaving only my capital there would see my wins safely sitting in my wallet and even though I will loose, it is the same capital I started with that I end up losing. I go with this philosophy that your winning is not yours until you withdraw them.

Greed makes gamblers want to hit it bigger, despite hitting some good wins, they think it is their lucky time and keep going on and on until they loose back a great percentage of their win to the casino, then they feel bad about it because to me it is a big loss that I lost a major part of my winning to the casino.
