Maybe it's just me, but i didn't think i would need discipline before i lost control. Because what do you need it for if you think everything is going ok. Thing is that many people are in denial even after they have lost control. They don't see a problem, other then needing more money and a better strategy.

I believe that's human nature, you can't stop such desire because of the aim to earn more profits. However, we usually end up with losses and depleted bankroll. Thus, you need to decide what you will do after you lost, either chase your lsosses or pause. And the repercussions will depend on your decision.

The desire to win and chase profit is in all of us humans. Some call it greed, but it's something we all have, but the level to which we control it or allow it to control us and make decisions for us is all that matters and is different from all.

Yep, and this isn't only applicable on gambling, but on trading as well.

Gambling always teach me how to be disciplined especially when I'm losing, and it's the same with trading. There are times where the market teaches me to be disciplined and learn how to manage your risks especially if you're on a losing streak. Same with gambling because it will teach you to be disciplined enough to stop when needed. It's actually painful to see yourself on that situation where you feel to become more desperate to recover those losses, but on one hand, it also teaches you how to be calm and disciplined.

It is advised and good to always have control and also be disciplined and responsible for any action we are taking. Yes, unfortunately, that's true. And the thing is, everyone, absolutely everyone on the planet, considers themselves special. We don't like watching others advise us not to repeat their mistakes. We always think, "Oh well, that person is stupid, I always thought they weren't as smart as me, and so I personally won't make the same mistakes they did." But in reality, that's the logic of fools. A smart person sees how "others get burned by fire" and therefore never touches it themselves, or will be cautious if they want to be sure. Of course, it happened more than once. I had to endure multiple major losses before I finally realized what was important: discipline and adherence to certain rules. I refused to heed the advice of friends and acquaintances, trying to dissuade me from rash actions. Ultimately, this led to a stalemate and total financial ruin, which I spent years trying to escape. I was so confident that I could turn everything around after one significant loss that I failed to notice the obvious. My stubbornness led me to a life crisis.

I find experiencing a major loss confusing, especially for those who are already addicted. When that happens, they want to continue, but are confused by their depleted capital, and their only hope is gambling to recoup their winnings.
