KILL 'TILDAH -- EARN MERITS BY BEING INTERESTING

My favorite podcast these days is Kill Tony, which has a YouTube channel with 2.69M subscribers. The primary idea behind the show is to give anybody a chance to become famous by giving them 1 minute of stage time to perform their best comedy routine. Their performance is then dissected by the show hosts during the "interview" process, and they are offered various symbolic awards depending on how funny, talented or interesting they are, according to the host.

With Kill 'Tildah, I am introducing the same concept for the forum, except instead of getting 1 minute of microphone time, you get 1 post to really dazzle us with your knowledge, technical abilities, or other talents. Your post can be about anything relevant to Bitcoin, cryptocurrency, cryptography, or whatever technical subjects are discussed here. Anything you think of to make me or the forum say "Cool," "Interesting," or even "Wow!"

And instead of getting famous, you get merits. Anywhere between 5 and 50 merits will be rewarded to each contestant on the show, based on how I feel you did.

How it Works

1. Contestants sign up by leaving a comment in this thread saying they want to participate (anyone is eligible).

2. After a contestant is randomly selected, a "Kill 'Tildah" thread with the contestant's name in it will be opened in the Reputation section.

3. The contestant has 1 post to let the forum know what they're all about and what they're capable of, to be as interesting or engaging as they can.

4. We interview the contestant to learn more about them, subjectively rewarding the strength of their post with merits.

These threads will be self-moderated because they are primarily for dialogue between me and the contestant.

Here's an example post... a post that could be made by a contestant, and I would probably consider it a good post (mainly because its mine):

"Elliptic key cryptography is a lot like the gradient of an amniotic yolk sack: a simple curve can produce a near infinite number of instructions that are then used to generate a near infinite number of other things, including other instructions.

Generator Point = DNA
public key = our physical form
private key = the secret sauce that turns us from DNA into a living being.

In this way, technology mirrors life in the provision of an elegant solution to a complex problem."

Then I would say something like, "Hey that's a pretty interesting take. Not sure I understood all of it, but what inspired you to come up with something like that?" And then you'd respond, and if your response was any interesting we'd keep going back and forth for a little bit, and then you'd walk away with 15 merits or so.
