Hello everyone,

My name is Kannibal Hektor. I’m a California based artist creating original precious metal work under the Kannibal Hektor name since 2012, primarily in .999 fine silver, with a focus on limited run art bars, bullion, jewelry, and relic inspired objects that feel closer to artifacts than ordinary silver.

I’m new to the forum, and after checking with a moderator, I was advised that the Collectibles section would be the appropriate place to make a pre-announcement for this project.

My upcoming release is called The Reliquary.

The Reliquary is the inaugural release in my Relics of Custody series. It is a hand cast, hand finished 2 Troy oz .999 fine silver piece designed in a Gothic reliquary style. Each piece will be built as a fully funded Bitcoin wallet through Caribbean Treasures, whose loaded wallet builds are already known in the collector space. Each Reliquary will also be stamped with the Caribbean Treasures maker’s mark, tying the wallet build directly to the physical piece.

Total mintage will be 21 pieces. Each piece will be funded with 250,000 sats.

This project was created to sit at the intersection of silver art, physical Bitcoin, and numismatic-style collecting.

I know trust is important here, especially with loaded wallets and physical Bitcoin pieces. Since I’m new to the forum, I plan to be transparent about the project, the funding, the serials, the wallet build, and the sale process. I am also open to using whatever trusted forum practices are appropriate, including escrow, public verification, and clear documentation.

This is not a sales thread yet. I wanted to introduce myself, share the project, and begin building a reputation properly within the community before posting sale details.

For anyone who wants to see examples of my past work, I have some previous pieces posted under Kannibal Hektor on Instagram, Facebook, and my website.

I’ll post photos, specifications, wallet details, and sale information once everything is ready.

Thank you for having me here. I’m looking forward to learning from the community and hopefully contributing something unique to the physical Bitcoin collecting space.

Kannibal Hektor

The Reliquary
Inaugural release in the Relics of Custody series
Hand cast, hand finished 2 Troy oz .999 Fine Silver
Fully funded with 250,000 sats
Wallet build by Caribbean Treasures
Limited to 21 pieces

Welcome to the forum, @Kannibal. Good choice in partnering with someone that has previously-built positive trust. I'm sure, as a result, people here will be more enticed to procure your super cool work. Good luck.

Your stuff looks very neat.

Interested in how the keys will be applied - by CT directly? Or shipped to you for you to apply?

Either way I hope you offer a DIY version

Keys are built and applied by CT directly. He is also stamping each bar with his makers mark when building and applying the keys.

I appreciate the kind words about my work.

I also understand the concern around key generation. With any loaded physical Bitcoin piece, the wallet build and trust model are obviously a major part of the equation, and I do not expect anyone to rely on artwork alone.

I’m working with Caribbean Treasures because of his existing history with loaded wallet builds, but I also understand that every collector has their own comfort level. Before any sale takes place, I plan to be transparent about the build process, funding, verification, serials, and any escrow or forum-standard practices that help buyers feel comfortable.

If there are specific concerns or best practices you think I should address before release, I’m open to hearing them. I’m new here and want to handle this the right way.

My suggestion would be to make a DIY version or you may lose out on a lot of sales from long-term members who for good reason have serious trust issues with new makers and keys,  just my two cents.

There are a lot of coins out there with a lot of random keys floating around, but a DIY version prevents all that nonsense, and if you're selling your coin for the beautifulness of the coin, then I suggest you offer that as an option.

Otherwise you can count me out for sure, and I'm sure many others would also feel the same way.

Especially if you're just starting out and you actually have some nice coins and designs. It would be a shame to get caught up in something silly like that with miss-handled and mismanaged keys, and having your brand associated with that stain.

There are a few very good and knowledgeable long-term members in good standing who have well over a decade of experience doing exactly this, if you're gonna go with the key route, and not a DIY.

I would highly suggest reaching out to Mopar or Minerjones or some of the OG's in here (not myself,  I have no interest in taking on that huge and very serious responsibility), but that's my suggestion for you if you're looking for suggestions.

I look forward to seeing what you have to bring to the table. Good luck with all your sales! 😎🤘

Thanks!

Welcome to the forum Kannibal Hektor! I remember seeing your pieces online in silver groups over a decade ago. I've always been a fan of your "Treasure" style. I'm glad to see someone come into the space bringing the big silver pieces! Haven't seen them for awhile. Most are using non monetary metals and/or plastic. Not stuff I want in my "Physical Chest".  I think most everyone will enjoy your work. I'm glad I got to see these in person.

As you can tell, some people will love your work and some people will hate it. Just do what you love and ignore the haters. Focus on people that like your pieces.

I hope to see many more pieces coming from you in the future in many different forms. DIY Is always a fun option, but MOST people don't even build them, or will build them incorrectly. This is why I don't release DIY anymore.
If you want to make DIY, I can give you some pointers of what I've learned over the years.

Always here to help. Smiley

I am a big fan of your work, been following on instagram for years, have owned a few of your pieces and probably auctioned or raffled some on this forum.

Welcome to an interesting subset of bitcoin enthusiasts.

It would be helpful to confirm that the person posting this message is actually the real Kannibal Hektor.  A post on your instagram account referencing your control of this bitcointalk account would be an easy way to do it.
