The FFrankie account was registered in 2015. You perhaps don't remember if you filled in the email option as invalid@bitcointalk email, or whatever it's called, when signing up? I'm not even sure that text next to the email part during the signup process was there back in 2015. Since it was so long ago, you're most likely entering an email you think is attached to FFrankie but isn't.

If you didn’t set up a secret question, you can still regain access to your account by signing a message from an address you previously used. The only address you staked from that account was 10 years ago. If you don’t have access to it anymore you can still use another address associated with your account. Since it is an old account there are plenty of addresses you could potentially use according to BitList.

Changing your password manually is very possible, because all you will have to do is head over to your account profile, and then click on "Account Related Settings" at the top left corner above the screen, and you will be taken to the next page where you will be provided a column where to input your new password, verify the password and you will be ask to input your current password, before clicking on "change". And automatically the password will be changed. So it is as simple as that. So you can give it a try and get back to us if you are having any difficulties.

I don't think that it's allowed to use another address that he has used in the past to sign a message. He must use the one he staked or his first wallet address that he used in the forum back then. That's the only way he can prove that he's the rightful owner of that account.

OP, don't you have a recovery email that you can use to access your old email that you used to register in the forum or was it an invalid email. Sign a message and admin can help you unlock your account.

I thought so too, but the example from Theymos’ post doesn’t mention that it has to specifically be a staked address. It only says that you have to link to an address you have used on the forum. An address that was used to apply for signature campaigns more recently should be fine unless I am misunderstanding something.

You can change your account password easily by yourself if you know the current password.

With your question, it's like you forgot your wallet password and want to recover your account.
If the password reset via email does not work, possibly because of your invalid email, you can use forum account recovery.
With that, you will need to sign a message from your old used Bitcoin addresses that were used and posted somewhere in the forum. Or you will need to sign a message from your PGP key.

Why would you need that? If this really is your account, I doubt you forgot your password in just over a month. You (if it really was you) logged into your account very recently and forgot your password in such a short time. That's hard to believe.

If you don't have the current password then I can't see reset the password from my ends without email. I have tried just now and asking for current passport. On the other hand, without current password have to go through email password reset and I am assuming you don't have access of your current password.

In such situation even it will be hard to regain access of your account through account recovery service. If you had used an invalid password then it'd different questions, then probably recovery team would help if you have signed message from your old and unedited address. So better talk with recovery team and ask for help.

You were recently active on this account. However, if you forget your password or if you lose your account for some reason and if you cannot reset your password by email, you can easily recover your account by signing in with the message of the address you used. Since you were a regular Collectibles active and you used a regular Bitcoin address, you can easily verify that and recover your account.

You are an old member of this forum, so you must know this system. In the forum account, it happens that the email address you used to create the account is invalid and if the mail is not delivered, then a mail like invalid@bitcointalk is replaced, in which case your previous mail cannot work. This problem especially happens when you use any GMX, Mail.com email.

Well although you have a point and you may very much be right, let's not jump into conclusions real quick. First as far as I can remember the forum still has two effective methods of account recovery which are email and signing a message and it seems the account already even has a signed message.

If you see such things from old accounts with registration dates in 2015 and before, likely they're hacked accounts. Because the forum has three hacks in history with a last one happens in 2015.

If you want to tag, tag the main account, killyou72 (Ffrankie), not the killyou73, it's useless with a low rank account for scamming anyone.

I think going ahead and tag (red) an account like this is too harsh while a neutral tag can be useless too because likely people don't mind about neutral tag.

Probability of that happening is low but you can not rule out that possibility.
