As an investor, you have to be prepared for the raining days when the price will be down and wether you like it or not, it will come because bitcoin is a volatile asset. Investing in a volatile asset as bitcoin comes with a lot of planning and those sort of planning is part of what keeps you standing in times when the market might not be favorable.

people sell at loss during bear just because they are not better prepared for it. if they were prepared and set up emergency funds and some other basic things in place, bear will certainly come but they will pull through those bear in good fate without selling at loss. during bear, an investor that plans is able to take advantage of it while the one that does not plan sells due to fear and ends up regretting investing in bitcoin in totality.

I don't think it require special type of heart to invest in Bitcoin because if you look at it carefully, Bitcoin is just like every other investment that can reward anyone who just hold for much longer.
