The outcome of matches is never determine by the public (bettors) nor the sports bookie, the team and their players determines who wins a match unless the game was rigged to favour some bookies and players, that's when you say the game was made to be in their favour but a game outcome is dependent on the performance of the players, that's why you see that some team with low odds used to win against the other team which the bookie sees as the strong team.

Determining the outcome of the match is up to each of us.
Sometimes people come to gamble in various ways, some are seasonal like the current world cup, there are those who gamble on the basis of joining in, there are just for fun and there are those who really focus and study the gambling or betting.

There are millions of people after the world cup ends they lose a certain amount of money in betting, in some cases there are depression and suicide, they don't make anything from the world cup matches and there are the opposite.

There's no way you can determine the final outcome of a match, because if it were possible to predict the outcome of a match, gamblers would be in a better position now. Betting can be weird, if you look at the result of the first week the fifa world cup started, theere was more drawn matches than I expected and because of that, some gamblers has find a way not bet on straight games again like straight win, draw or lose, they now bet on either win or under some goals or over some goals just to protect their bet, not all casino support this but the games still find a way to cut, that's to tell you that betting can be weird.

Sometimes its when you think you want to be over smart with betting it goes against you, just do the simplest bet and let it play out. We do know that even a powerhouse team/club/player would definitely be having the chance of losing into the weak or underdog ones even if we do spot on the numbers or stats on which this is something inevitable. All those public choices does not have any effect on the actual match outcome at all… What happens in any game is strictly determined by what is played on the pitch,  the players performance and all that..
The fact that the public sometimes get it right or wrong is just coincidence or luck and nothing more.. People can’t influence the outcome of a game, because there is no pattern when it comes to football match..
