I think the public does not determine the final result, in the case of betting I think luck determines the final result but that's with betting, because even betting cannot determine the final result of the match even though there are some matches that are arranged and maybe that's because of betting.

The qualities of the players in a team and their strength and believe for them to win is what determines the outcome of a game, it does not matter the type of form the team is on but if the players get determined and decide to play together as a team then any team can win a game. There are cases in which the teams get influence from big time gamblers as they buy them for them to play either badly or poorly because of the bet that they have already placed and this can also decide the outcome of a game. Especially in this World Cup, I’ve seen some tremendous talents and performances from a lot of underdogs teams/countries. Usually lot of people believe that gambling is not meant for everyone and also when you are gambling or has already placed your bet, what do determines the outcome of the match? Or I want to also know if the public are the people who truly controls the outcome of the match. You know, when you are picking a odds most time people easily go for the team that has lower odds due to the fact that they could win the match, so people just decided to pick games with very small odds but it would surprises you that even with the smallest odds the game still ends up against you where you would lose money, and most times when the public are that chosen a particular club and it happens to be winning you would also see that those who bet against the public end up losing for big time.

I would want to know how the public do decide the outcome of a match?

I don't think in any circumstance that the public determines the outcome of a game. It is not trading where the more people buy, the higher the price, so investors sentiment matters. This is an event that usually is being played, and spectators just spectate and have no influence on the outcome of the game.

The only person I think that can influence the game is the referee. I'm talking about an external body from the players and the coaches. So the answer to your question is No, the public have no influence over the result of a game.
