Another good reason is that some investors are traders, they will use the money to trade and probably later lose it.

There are good ways you can go most of these and still benefit from bitcoin holding. You can buy bitcoin, let us assume it is 100%. You can sell 50 to 70% during bull market and hold 30 t0 50% and not sell it at all. This is the best way in bitcoin investment.

I will not advise anyone to sell all their bitcoin, at least still hold some all the time irrespective of bull or bear market.

I call those set of people the big big talk investors or the audio investors because they do more of talking than actions. They are even more noisy than people that have invested greatly in it, I don't literally take them serous because they can be very misleading to people that are really serous in investing in Bitcoin.

Secondly, bitcoin has always been known to be an assets that appreciate in value overtime and also design to favour the patient ones, those that can hold firmly without compromising. However, I wouldn't be surprise if traders or fair weather investors are being missed out because that has always been their normal position. Perhaps, if this can take hold, it will be a better way of appreciating those that hold strong without shaking.

I was expecting to see fear as a factor because it is the major reason that people will not benefit at such time. I don't think anyone would like to reject good things but because the fear of the unknown, so you would want to be careful in your investment.

People will have to invest in the amount of money that they can bear to lose, this has been the watch word. So if someone put in whatever amount, that's how much you are comfortable with and such person should be cool with whatever profit that comes as a result of his investment. It is not advisable to borrow to invest in bitcoin, investing more than you can lose is greed.

As someone who is in it for the long haul, I don't see it as a way to chase profits. To me it's about backing a better kind of money that puts more power back in people's hands and pushes back against constant inflation and too much control from the top. The simple truth is, keep putting in what you can afford, stay steady through the ups and downs and hold on with real determination over the years.

None of the reasons you mentioned are investors, they are all traders. An investor has a target of 4 to 10 years or in some cases even more. A person who sells after seeing some profit or waits for a fall or they are not an investor at all.

But yes, the higher our portfolio, the more we will profit if the price of Bitcoin increases. If a person has $50 worth of Bitcoin, then he will get profit according to the amount of Bitcoin he has. We need to focus on building our portfolio. It is not that the price of Bitcoin will not increase after the price of Bitcoin reaches $500,000. For me it depends on what I get as returns from what was invested. There are instances where the amount is quantifiable and the profit huge enough to create wealth. I will rather take advantage of profit and create more streams of wealth generation for myself while I still have higher percentage re-invested. Bitcoin don't promise wealth but the profits if substantial can create wealth and at the same serve as hedge over inflation .

The reasons you mentioned will be due to investor volatility but if an investor is consistent in accumulating Bitcoin for multiple cycles and is able to build a large portfolio, he can benefit. Experienced investors recommend accumulating Bitcoin regularly through discretionary income for Bitcoin accumulation.
If your assumption about Bitcoin in 2030 is correct, then it may not be easy to find many such investors but smart investors who are buying Bitcoin regularly and have a target for a certain period will continue their activities regardless of each price.

The criteria used in measuring whether an investor will be, profitable in an investment even if the price of Bitcoin hit a million dollars is not about the price. What will make an investor profitable is about staying consistent with your investment because from what is obvious the more the Bitcoin price appreciates more people sell making them to become more vulnerable moving forward. The only technical view that I will agree with the subject as the title of the thread implies is that those who are waiting to buy on the bull and finally buys when Bitcoin price climbs $500K and was hopeful that price will continue to pump but unfortunate for them that the $500K was the resistance.

So instead of the price to go higher as anticipated, it begins to fall and then, they will begin to panic and sells at lost due to FOMO.
But in the other context, anyone buying buying on a decent price with and holds until price went up to the $500K, definitely will make profits.

DCA or NCA strategy of investment is good when done consistently and better when the investor scales their purchasing power as their income grows, otherwise it would be just as you said. They won't get sizeable return on investment.
