Fake sites usually showing that their partners are known giants or that their service was shown in very popular media platforms however once you trying click on such banners they dont redirects you anywhere. It can be even with «5 stars trustpilot» badge.
This is true and I began to observe this in the exchange board recently. Some automatic fake exchanges that launched and are operated by bots are always hasty to mention unrealistic reserve and claims outrageous liquidity from giants partners.

I presume that since they are not into business to build reputation, they try their best to ride on the reputation of others to scam.
They always have some shitty stars scattered everywhere, even on the home page.

Is there a need for me to send some bitcoin to a website when they're not the usual exchanges? That's why there's no reason for me to dig with these websites, new or old.

If I don't know them, I won't trust them and I don't want to make things complicated for myself.

The rules are basically simple and easy to understand. If you have no idea what the service and website is, don't go further and never trust them with a single satoshi.

First of all, as long as it is a custodial service, you should not deposit a huge amount of BTC at one go. The safer option is to break your deposits into smaller bits. It is true that you would spend more in fees, but that is a fair price to pay in order to ensure all of your funds are not stolen.

For us in bitcointalk, it is kind of easier to find crypto platforms we need, because there are services here that have built a reputation and you can use them without worrying too much. Though it is important, irrespective of the service, not to forget my first point.

Do you check the domain name before using a crypto site, or do you only care about reviews and reputation?
I checked the domain's information when it was first registered and on the platform; it should be consistent with what's on the platform. They cannot claim to have thousands of users if they only launched a few months ago.
And when it comes to reviews, they should come from an independent review platform like Bitcointalk or a dedicated niche review site that's transparent with its readers and followers.

Reviews are bullshit because people are fucking stupid especially in large groups where they do not know each other.

Is this the reason why Google sometimes censors reviews?

Centralized organizations add bias to the reviewing process, so you can regard them all as bullshit.

There is multiple factors that I consider before using website. Usually I use websites that's been online for a while and already gained good reputation. If there is old working service and I didn't had problems using it, I don't see reasons to switch to new unknown websites.
When it comes to new services, when they have no reviews or these reviews is fake, I stay away from it. Usually I don't have to go that deep to check domain information.

Reputation means nothing because most people have their heads so far up their asses that they come out their mouth and up their ass again.
