we generally get very excited about bets that win at the last minute, but if our bet wins by a wide margin, we tend to think we could have taken a higher risk and end up wanting more than we actually won.

The latter will give me more happiness than the first scenario; I like to see my winning already visible long before the game comes to an end and not when I have some sad moment almost regretting that I chose that option before the game turns around the happiness that comes after giving up, but the game later coming around will be massive, but let's also not forget the emotional damage it might have caused the person.

Show me who would not be happy if his losing bet wins on the last minute of a game. Everyone would happy when he wins losing bet. Imo it has no difference if you are happy or «more happy» in gambling, important is to simply win. Win on a last minute would make me more excited, I would have higher heart beat rate, and I would be similar happy if I have won same bet long before game ended. Last minute win or to know you have won (for example in the middle of the game) does not affect how much I win, as odds were already confirmed.

Close wins at the last minute are heart pounding indeed. But as a regular sports and casino bettor I am learning one thing. I actually prefer comfortable Wins.

Because there is less stress, bank roll management is easy and you can avoid the emotional trauma of winning and losing. Actually the thrill is pretty fun in the short term. But those who want to continue gambling sparingly for the long term simply for relaxation focus on value rather than drama

It's always like a magic when you win your bet by hair because you have already given up on the game. I do appreciate this kind of winning more and I will know that luck gave me such win. Unlike, winning with a wider margin that will make you feel that, you are a genius.

Since it’s about the cards that get shown in soccer, I understand, honestly, I wouldn’t care either way, as long as I win. The thing is, I don’t get very excited about it. Whenever I place a bet like that, I just consider the money lost. If I end up winning, all the better. Plus, it’s an amount that, if I win, will come in handy, but if I lose, it won’t affect me at all.

This is an additional reaction to the pleasure of the victory obtained, a thin difference or before we thought our bet would lose but the result showed that it was a victory then it could make us happy spontaneously where before we had thought the result would be disappointing but what happened instead was the opposite, of course it was an unexpected result so the occurrence of an excessive happy reaction was a natural thing, but in essence, victory is the only result that makes someone happy, especially in gambling which of course this victory is the only thing that many people want to do gambling.

The feeling of winning in the last minutes is more enjoyable for me, because there's a sudden burst of excitement after all the tension. But the same feeling can happen when it's clear from the start that we're going to win, and then near the end of the game, the situation almost makes us disappointed.
There is indeed the thought of taking a bigger risk when the team we support is actually winning by a good margin. But by then, it's too late, and the effect might show up on the next bet.

Indeed, this is what I feel when I win a bet in the last minute, the excitement becomes extraordinary and can even shout when winning at the end of the game --- Likewise, on the contrary, losing at the last second makes me so disappointed, in my heart why it has to end like this, I guess that's how I feel as a bettor.

The most important thing I would think about is the fact that I won, there's also a satisfaction that comes with the being close to losing and you end up winning especially when it's a huge amount of money. I remember betting on a basketball game and they had about two points extra to score before I could win but they didn't seem to put in any effort to get those points, I slept in disappointment knowing the game was already over but I woke up to a win, they points came in during the last few minutes and I was really surprised that i won.

In my experience closer wins makes gambling more enjoyable, knowing that you would have lost the game but you ended up winning would make you more excited. Being close to losing and making profit in the end makes me more careful and in such cases I don't gamble for a long time after winning because I know that I might end up losing. Whether you win by a greater margin or not it does really matter, maybe it matters to some but I don't really think too much about that but my main aim is for me to make profit.

The first scenario will make me happier. Because in that scenario, it means I won from the max odds possible in that game (bet on cards). I am just a regular gambler who will overthink a lot after the match if the outcome is in a wide margin, which means it actually gave me a chance to win higher odds but I just ignored it by playing safe. The "I should have won more" feeling will always follow me that day, especially if my stake is big.

And again, I already said it too many times, my coping mechanism for this case is by thinking, "everything happens for a reason, for my own good." I will start imagining every possible bad thing that could happen to me if I won the max possible odds. For example, maybe I would overbet because I become too confident after that win and end up losing, maybe I would buy unnecessary things with the money which I would regret later, etc.

Does it make sense for normal people? Because I think I'm just not normal

For me I don't think winning by hair or winning by large margin will actually make any difference as long as there is a win. most times it's good to controls such emotions.
when you win by a large margin and you get emotional it tend to bring in over confidence which will make you lose more money at the end when you win by a hair  you tend  to be most skeptical and sometimes scared of continuing the bets.

From a betting point of view, the most beautiful and fun thing is the surprise effect. Until the end, you realize you can't make the bet, but after the twist, everything changes at the last moment.
Maybe in the meantime you left the event disappointed only to later realize that you had achieved a win, I would say that the surprise is beautiful news and these things make your day better.

I would be happy if a series of events would "close" togheter on the last time, otherwise has literally no sense.
If you want achieve a profit, any risk bet, or gamble must always be avoided.  Personally I would see just as a "stressfull" experience and defintely would analyze the market/bet for the next games.
I don't see anything that can make you happy if you are trying to have a fixed profit or be considered "in profit"... you had to have enough chances to win easily and never arrive at latest.

For the first instance, you must have become really frustrated in the middle of the game while waiting for things to fall into place for you compared to seeing things going as planned while the game progresses. the end result is the same thing but the feeling is different because no one really wants to wait till the dyeing minutes before seeing the outcome they are expecting. of cause for the first instance, i will even dare to look at it as a miracle because the possibility of an incident as such happening at the end of a game is actually very slim.

To be honest to both setups play with your mind in different ways. You are pumped up with excitement after late victory, but you are nervous for remainder of the game as you almost lost it at the end. It is easy to win in moment but regret sets in. You begin to think that you should have played more cards or put more money on slip as it obviously had to hit. That type of thinking is dangerous as it urges player to take greater risks on next bet.

Close win is definitely more stressful but in all honesty is probably more healthy mentally. It is reminder that when you bet there will always be risk. When player can easily pick up win, then they get feeling of comfort that next bet will be easy as well, which is how players begin over rating their advantage.
