It surely already caused some disruptions in many sectors, like entry-level coding, graphic design, music composing, or translation. But, at the same time, AI failed to perform according to expectations in many other areas.
It's similar to the dot-com bubble, where investors correctly predicted that the internet is the future, but expected too much too soon and got punished for their impatience.

People tend to misunderstand what AI really is. They often think that it's some sort of artificial brain, that can only get better and wiser, but the reality is it's just a statistical prediction engine, which has a lot of vulnerabilities and is susceptible to threats like data poisoning or a threat of new inputs being also AI-generated, which, if not resolved, could make it even less reliable over time.

Exactly! Right now, there are a lot of platforms, tools, or applications that are already relevant, where it can be done already by existing AI applications; some of these are just wrappers of other AI/LLMs.

But I think what OP means here is that we must learn how to do data analysis or clean data without using A.I.? I'm confused with the image.

It obviously has some really great advantages and some really big disadvantages to us.

Used in the medical industry and as part of modern medicine is an obvious advantage and one
of the big disadvantages is the fact that it hallucinates, so results can be questionable.

Everyones concern for the future is of it replacing jobs so there is concern there also.

AI present helps us to gathering the data and analyze to us. But we can't rely on AI to decide but we should research and compare the data so we know the temporary result then we can analyze more to find which one we need.

We should learning to use AI so AI works as we want and gives the right data. But we can continue researching for more or that is enough so we can decide.

Yeah not at the main stage At this stage  but  who knows in the futrue maybe ..... I remember watching Power Rangers when i was kid and some AI tools where nearly  imagined !

AI is definitely a power innovation that have changed the digital space forever. It is an excellent tool in data analysis and cleaning data as shown in the picture you shared but its job is not limited to that. AI have found application into many things including space exploration, military operations, agriculture, medicine and virtually every area of human endeavor. AI has a huge impact on many sectors, making many people's jobs much easier, but I agree with you that it hasn't met expectations in some areas.
Sometimes, even with the best commands, it acts as if it doesn't understand you. I think it does this intentionally; the more detailed the commands we give, the more it improves itself.

Even though it's not meeting expectations right now, I'm sure that in 2-3 years it will be much more powerful and much more useful to us

AI is a scientific tools that is being introduced to make a work easier for people especially Industries, but what I am not seeing any different between AI kind of job and manual job that people involved themselves into, the only difference is that AI help to reduce a workload and it is also a faster means of doing a job that is only different that I found in AI generation tools, despite that AI have a lot of functions and things that it can cover which human being cannot cover within the limited time that should be given to accomplish a job so AI is good but it does not give assurance in some of the things especially in predictions of Bitcoin and the speculations of Bitcoin you cannot depend on AI in such, even in trading

Well, it certainly brought a new level and type of shitposting around, there is no longer even the need to say a few words, construct a phrase, formulate and express an opinion, let't not even think of advocating pro or against it, just generate some AI slop image and there you have it, subject without substance, which pretty much defines 99% of the current sector right now.

Most of the heavily affected sectors were just low-level jobs, where above media knowledge was necessary, it also brought in way higher level jobs that would be able to work with it with sensitive data, which most of the people who look at numbers, quoting the industry, don't realize is that there were a lot of other factors
- insane hiring spree in 2020, a growth which was never going to last
- a ton of extra jobs that were useless anyhow, entire departments for projects that were never going to see the light ( meta is the perfect example)
- the need for an internet presence that became mandatory was not going to create work for everyone forever, once the major migration is done so is the work

If you want to shake an industry, you can't do that with Claude or chatgpt, those are simple tools, you need specific tools for that specific industry.

Like for example we have seen midjourney building new CT scan, that is going to revolutionize the MRI world, and we are going to have zero radiation to get every single detail image of our insides, that's just not even remotely possible in my mind and yet they are working o nit. While it is not ready yet, imagine it 10 years from now? That would be insane.

Hmmmm.. you’re right on this.

It will help human ( the teacher)  to teach better and cover more resources which is my on view for that comment. But if it eventually replaces them entirely then for sure, there’re so many reasons this could go wrong for kids and even adults btw..

There  should be a solution to tackle that in the near future else a large percentage of humans  could be totally doomed in  the current and upcoming generations  .
