I don't feel this way when placing or after placing a bet, the only time i feel such emotions is when i'm watching the game or checking live scores to know how well the fixture is going, if according to my bet or against my pick.
It is not normal to feel that way as soon you place a bet, you might want to take a break or check yourself.

When I used to bet a large amount to recover during a long loss, my heartbeat also increased. Now I bet a very small amount each day, which will not be a problem if I lose. So now my heartbeat does not increase like before.

In my country,there are people who predict games and if your interested then ,they will sell for you. They will assure you that the game is a sure win and they will advise you to stake the game with a huge amount money. Increased heart beat rate happens always and for everyone who has placed large bet or the best he can not afford to lose. There is a 100% probability of that. I have also experienced such thing when I place significantly large bet, not so sure if chances of winning, or when there is little time left until bet settles and it was a high risk one. when you bet a large sum you're naturally nervous because it's a risk. but often I prefer to bet smaller amounts to avoid worrying too much. I think it's better to choose higher odds and bet a smaller amount than to bet a large sum at low odds. you also need to protect your nerves because treatment is expensive these days. sometimes gamblers bet millions of dollars on small odds like in the Spain vs. Cape Verde match. it's hard to imagine what they go through when they lose that much.

Sorry I've not, I always sleep soundly and in the morning is always when I check the scores or the results, this is what a responsible gambler should expect whenever they gambles.

If your heartbeat start to race then you are the problem, you have risked too much money on the bet and you are too scared of losing the money, I don't ever want to be in such situation.

Well if you’re going through that then you have to think about yourself and most especially your health should be considered, which might be the ultimate priority, because you can’t play a game and immediately your heart beat increases should be watched and monitored very well, and you should also have know well enough that you’re gambling, and when gambling nothing is guaranteed it’s just more like a game of chess that you need to have a luck and calculative, but myself included I prefer to gamble responsibly.

Yes, this happened to me a long time ago when I gambled without any self control, proper budgeting and sometimes made greedy decisions. It's quite common for gamblers to be in that situation but now however, I feel much more in control even when I bet on high odds matches, my heartbeat stays normal because I manage my risk and only use money that I can afford to lose. Actually, when I spend a little more on my gambling, I also experience a slight increase in my heart rate while gambling or placing a bet. This is mainly due to excitement and I consider it quite normal until you use an amount that you cannot afford to lose.

However, this is very rare for me these days because I mostly bet on sports and I always stake very low amounts. In most cases, it is less than 5% of my total income, which basically doesn't have much of an effect on me. Yes, I've experienced it; especially while watching live matches involving my country or my favourite teams, even without betting on the match. It happens whenever we've vested interest in a game, whether it's a bet or not. It's not a good sign. It can lead to cardiac arrest. This is why I've limited my exposure to live matches. I choose ones to watch live while I see others on replay. I had to decide that so I could keep my blood pressure down. I think you can equally achieve that too by lowering your bets since you've recognized that what causes it for you is betting huge.

You might not want to hear those  phrases you mentioned but that actually the root cause of the problem that you are experiencing and definitely there are so many gamblers who are like that, I was like that too until I stopped staking with the amount can't afford losing, although even if I stake with the amount I can afford to lose I might still experience it if it was a live match and I'm watch the game. I won't advise you to gamble for fun but what I can tell you is that, if you don't want to experience such heart race, then you can come up with a method that will distract you after you have placed the bet. After you bet, then go out and do something else and let the game run.

Definitely, it's the adrenaline that is pumping in your body specially when you feel and see that your bet is about to get that win. Sometimes in close game, I was so nervous that I decided not to watch it and just wait for the final result, LOL.

And that is what most gamblers wanted to feel, that high that we feel during our gambling activity. One example is when you play slots, you don't know what will be next reel that is going to show whether it's a bonus round or just multipliers of x1000 and when it does, the feeling is different.

I think it's normal since it happened to me too and I think it's a human's natural reaction to feel that way especially in big risky bet just the same thing as if you feel in danger, which in this case is the same since you let your money be at risk and you know that there's a chance that it will be gone anytime but I think it's the intensity of the moment or the match and honestly most of the players got joy from it and it's actually what they're after in playing. It would be weird if you don't feel anything and stay calm after placing a big bet or going all in while playing a game of poker. I don’t know but I somehow believe there are people who are already kind of used to such situations, I mean taking high risks every now and then and they really don’t often feel that way anymore, and even if they feel it, it’s not always as serious and tense as it used to be before. It is natural to feel increased heartbeat whenever you are taking risks because nobody wants to be a loser, although the level of heartbeat and sweat depends on the level of risks that you're embarking on. This is why people with heart related illnesses are not supposed to put themselves under immense pressure in activities that would drastically increase their heart rate so they won't develop high blood pressure which can lead to stroke. I think that every gamblers should know the limit that their heart rate can take and they shouldn't exceed such amount for their own mental health.
