I can say when you see the loss is getting out of hand, then it’s better to leave. You will end up playing with emotions of getting all your money back with a single win, which will later affect you because you might end up borrowing to still stake a bet. This is a very important point, because those that gamble need to understand and know when it's enough to avoid regrets.

When you know when to leave, you will have that choice over yourself and gamble responsibly. Although, no matter how safe you played it, you will eventually end up as an addict, unless you have many things that take up too much of your time that you hardly have time to gamble.

Several gamblers clearly doesn’t know just when to give up when they’re on the screen. Rather than throwing the towel, some would just rather keep going harder and harder, hoping they’ll get a breakthrough that make them recover their previous losses. But of course we know that’s rarely the case in most cases. So I’m curious to know, from your own individual perspective and viewpoint, when exactly should a gambler throw in the towel? How many times should a gambler lose before they get convinced that it’s clearly time to throw in the towel and walk away?
People who gamble regularly never really think about how much they are losing and when they should stop gambling. They always think about one thing, which is that their winning is probably very close. I was addicted to gambling below, so I can say from that experience that when you gamble regularly, no matter how much you lose, gambling will never make you feel bad. When you lose, you may get emotional and think that you will never gamble again, but you will not be able to keep that promise for a long time. You will quickly forget it and think that since you have lost, you will have to take another risk to recover the loss. This is how you will continue to gamble. You will not be able to quit gambling easily until you lose everything and until you are completely financially ruined. I myself have now recovered from this problem, so I know very well how serious an addiction gambling is.

Gambling moderately is important for us to know and do as well, we should not be carried away because of the entertainment purpose of gambling and try to take some risk that you later bounce back on us, once we have the feelings to stop gambling then you should post for that moment till another time, we shouldn't let it get too late before we know when to put a stop for the day in gambling.
You are right, There are gamblers that claim to gamble strictly for entertainment purposes and still end up losing as though they are addicted to gambling. At the end of the day it doesn't matter whether a gambler plays for profits or entertainment it is best to always gamble moderately to avoid unnecessary losses. A lot of people fall back into gambling addiction because they tell themselves they'll quit later on.

How many times should a gambler lose before they get convinced that it’s clearly time to throw in the towel and walk away?

Losing is part of gambling, you cannot avoid it, but if you're losing your savings or your allocation is bigger to your budget and you lose your control then its time to stop and walk away and comeback when you regain your control, its not the number of loss you could lose a few times and be considered out of control and you can lose hundreds of times but you are still considered safe.
It's better to assess yourself and not count your losses.

Without putting in place a plan with bankroll management prior to gambling, there is no set number of losses that can be used to determine when a gambler can stop playing on a given day. Instead, the amount of time the bankroll is intended to be used will determine when to walk away after a losing streak.
This is what will reveal when every gambler pulls the curtain apart from those who have already developed an addiction.

The first loss, yes the first loss is the right situation to stop, because if you continue, it is the same as you are giving tolerance to the loss to increase, I understand that the chance of winning is always there, but we never know when it will come, and one thing I will say here is that the percentage of losses is always much higher than wins, so trying more often and more will most likely only increase the possibility of loss and this is the reason why I suggest stopping at the first loss.

Yes, there are some gamblers who start gambling with the intention of getting rich quickly, but when they face financial losses, they quickly bet more without taking the time or doing proper research, thinking that they will get back all the money they lost and will be able to make more money which will make their life better. In reality, gambling aggressively in the hope of making more money without proper knowledge about gambling increases the risk of losing money many times over, as a result of which the gambler loses self-control over himself and gradually becomes addicted to gambling.

So I’m curious to know, from your own individual perspective and viewpoint, when exactly should a gambler throw in the towel?
When it comes to gambling, the only moment you should throw the towel while gambling is exactly the moment you noticed you are losing far more than you expected, then it is enough to take a break of it.

Quote
How many times should a gambler lose before they get convinced that it’s clearly time to throw in the towel and walk away?
To be honestly speaking, there is no formula to know or calculate how long a gambler should keep losing a bet before he or she accept defeat. Because the rate at which each gambler will go varies with respect to their financial capabilities and risk tolerance. Because just as some individuals will stop gambling immediately they exhaust more than 70% of their casino account, some other gamblers won't mind still playing until they exhaust everything in their casino account, and  including their debit card while trying to chase loses. So it varies between gamblers, and as one, it's only best to discover at what point you are willing to stop or take profits.

3 things... time/energy/money. When your life suffers because you spend too much time/energy/money gambling, you need to stop and rethink everything. There are more important things in life than gambling... simple as that. Spend more time doing some other things, put your money in some other things... Spend your energy on important things, gambling should be just a side fun.

But some people are different, I guess...

People are very greedy and that is why they want to achieve a lot very quickly with little effort and thinking about that aspect they find the easiest way to do it is gambling. And when gambling advertisements come in front of them they look at it seriously and it shows how they can easily win big and from there they have the attitude that gambling is a place to earn easy income. And thinking about these aspects a person uses his valuable time, effort and money in everything where if he had used them for some other good purpose then he would have definitely got a good result from that in the long run. An easy way to quit gambling is to find some potential job and keep yourself busy there. Otherwise if you live a lazy life then you will not be able to stay away from gambling in any way.

Someone can be addicted to any activity. I know someone who is struggling to control the amount of time and resources they spend on movies. So addiction is not all about the events that bring financial gains. I totally agree with you that, regardless of the reason for gambling, moderation is essential. Responsible gambling starts with the ability to control our betting habits.

The number of losses should not be the factor, it should be based how much we wagered and how much we lost on the session, if we lost everything we won and the deposit then it should be enough to call it a day and close the curtains or throw in the towel or whater the analogy we use.

Another factors is time spent, it varies from one to another, if I have to say I wouldn't want to spend more than an hour that is what I would suggest for everyone else too.

This is not really a big decision, the moment you have reached the limit you set for yourself before you started gambling, that is when it is time to stop…
But if you decide to chase losses, it will just make things get worse, because the more emotional you become, the less logical your decisions are..

It is not how many times a gambler lose a day that can determine if they will stop gambling for the day but the amount they have lost . If they can be able to afford it , definitely it won't be bad idea since this may not have much an effect on them compared to when they lose money that they can't really afford to lose. However, it is good for a gambler to set a limit as per how much they intend to use in gambling for the day and also to have the discipline to stick to this set limit.
Losing and winning is part of gambling so gambler should always make provision as per how much they willing to lose as they gambling and not only to be thinking about the amount they plan to win.

First Imo I won’t use number of losses some folks may have experienced countless losses but won’t be that major in their gambling lives because they are applying proper discipline and risk control , especially those that are gambling for fun and know how to work with budget and stuff .

While there are some that the gambling habit not just affecting their finance is also affecting many aspect of their lives , like their relationships and mental health too , so for such folk the best thing is to advice he or she to stop to avoid further damages and stuff.

Whem the bankroll for the week have all be used for gambling and lost, that should be the right time to stop gambling until the following week. The bankroll that is of small amount of money from your salary, it can be less than 5% of your salary. Any reason that makes you deposit more money should be seen as something that is very bad.

Not a bad idea, in my opinion I would say that gamblers need to set a limit rather than waiting to exhaust your bankroll before you will think of to stop. My question exactly is what if you're losing and also wining? you know at that point your bankroll would last through out the week, does it mean you would continue gambling since you still have enough bankroll?

I guess the answer should be no" because it's not proper for one to keep gambling without stopping, because you might get addicted to gamble if you do so. However, gamblers is meant to stop after making 2-3 attempt regardless of the outcome.

When your budget or bankroll is over, quit. Gambling until the bankroll you create on a weekly or monthly basis is over, when it is over, quit and wait for the next month or week.

Discipline is very important in gambling. Never gamble more than your set budget and do not gamble outside your discretionary money. Losing money is natural in gambling, set a daily or fixed amount of bets and gamble accordingly. That is, create a boundary and gamble within the boundary.

A gambler don't need to be told when they should stop gambling or not, I believe all gamblers are adults because you can't register on any betting platform without being an adult.

How will someone not know when to stop any acts that he is doing when clearly the person is responsible for his/her act, let's take for instance someone that gambled his school fee and lost the money but had friends or any close relatives that helped and gave him the money afterwards, you don't need to tell such person to stop gambling at that particular time, if he/she didn't stop, that means the person will never stop.

Even if gambling do favor someone all the time, you shouldn't relent on gamble for the rest of your life you have to stop at some certain point, if not such person might die by gambling. Why I said so is that no matter how good someone is with gambling he will surely loose and when such person loose it will be a Fortune. So I advice all gamblers to stop at some point in time before it's too late because nothing last for ever

I've never applied the "first loss" rule, although it makes a lot of sense, but it's something we should consider carefully. If I don't lose that much money on the first loss and I still have money to play with, then we can keep going until I spend the money I have ready for that. But with respect to the rest, it's necessary to be able to impose conditions on ourselves so that we don't lose more than normal.

People that bet frequently never consider how much they are losing or when they should quit gaming. They are continuously thinking about one thing: their victory is probably very close. I was hooked to gambling, so I can say from experience that when you gamble on a daily basis, no matter how much you lose, gaming will never make you feel awful. When you lose, you may become emotional and vow never to bet again, but you won't be able to keep that word for long.

You will rapidly forget it and believe that because you have lost, you must take another risk to regain the loss. This is how you'll continue to bet. You won't be able to quit gambling easy until you've lost everything and are utterly bankrupt. I've recovered from this condition, so I know how terrible a gambling addiction is.
