Are you sending Trx or tokens like USDT? Trx should be low even if you don't have bandwidth left and if it's USDT transfer, it shouldn't be upto $1-3 dollars unless you are using an exchange wallet which cost around $1-$2 on average.

Maybe you should update your Trustwallet or use Tronlink app, it's more better for Tron ecosystem.

I don't know the cause of such an error, but you know I have encountered similar things in the past when I was still actively using Trust Wallet; their fees were most times higher than usual.

Maybe you should update your Trustwallet or use Tronlink app, it's more better for Tron ecosystem.

TronLink or any other Tron wallet should be fine. I don't recommend updating Trust Wallet for that purpose.

In between: Tron Chain token transfers appear to be on the high side recently; if you are sending TRX to another wallet, the fee is within 1 TRX to 1.2 TRX, within the range of $0.35+, but for tokens like USDT, you spend as high as $1.50 to $3 in fees.

TronLink or any other Tron wallet should be fine. I don't recommend updating Trust Wallet for that purpose.

Trust wallet over estimate fees sometimes but OP in his explanation is too high and that's why I asked him to update his wallet, could be a bug, $17 for fee estimation is too high for single transaction on tron regardless if it's trx or token transfer.

Even if the chain is busy with high fees, each Tron account get bandwidth refill and can send some free Trx transaction every day until you have none left before they start charging Trx as transaction fee while USDT charge as little few cents.

I believe this is not a bug, but rather a result of the slow server node, which asks how much energy costs. That is why you received a random fee of $17 and goes back to cheap once it syncs properly to the server. Reopening the server or node may help, but in my experience and others, the trust wallet is buggy and slow. You should look for alternatives for your coins or switch to a hardware wallet.

Are you trying to send Tron without energy? If you do that without having enery, it would cost you a lot just to pay for a tx. If you're using a tx use energy, it will be much more cheaper than it.

However, if that fees is a calculation when you have energy to send Tron tx. I guess it may be a bug. As far as i know some wallets such as Trust wallet has terrible UI/UX in determining the tron fees changes.

Trons is different with other chain fhere is energy and different thing about the chain itself, or it simply bug from the trust wallet but i don thinis trust wallet because fee is take live from the Blockchain data itself.

Sometimes when i try to send my btc the fee is high but we as user can custom our fee itself  it just depend on the best rate

Is it Android, iOS, or the Chrome extension?

I think might be a localised issue such as the time it takes for the app to sync on your device.

Since you didn't provide any evidence like screenshots, I can't say it's an error or bug from the wallet side. You should know that the fees when you send native token a.k.a Tron (TRX) & tokens on the network have different fees. It's sometimes confusing for beginners, I also had a friend ask the same thing as you a few months ago. After I explained, he finally understood it all.

That's a common cause about Trust Wallet, but if the OP wanted to stay using Trust Wallet, then the only solution that I know to fix this issue is to switch to another node or add a custom network.

I believe the Trust wallet only supports Tron via https://api.trongrid.io/jsonrpc; if the OP continues to experience syncing delays or issues, he can switch to https://tron.api.pocket.network. At least, he had the option of switching if only one node was down.

Try to use other wallet and maybe export and import your account. I've used trust wallet and the experience has been nothing but bad and there were incident about the exploit that drained their users, they said they want to reimburse but some problems still unresolved till this day.

Wallets are starting to support Tron and even Metamask is already supporting it natively. The issue you faced is possibly calculation bug, some wallets have this problem.

Which incident are you referring to? As far as I can remember some of those losses are caused by supply chain attack or other malwares. I can't recall a case where the cause is their code being exploited remotely. Is it the one where someone somehow managed to push an illicit update to users?

Actually, one more thing I'll tell you that might help. Use another wallet such as Exodus, and somehow the fees there is way less than TW when transacting USDT on TRC-20. I used TrustWallet for years and now switched to Exodus just because of this thing I noticed months back.

There is a maximum fee concept in the Tron blockchain. I'm not good at understanding this stuff, but just try different wallets because the fee on Tron is different. Even better, if you can and it works for you, transact USDT on the BEP20 chain and it costs you like $0.001 per transaction. I mean, some sites (like Stake, for example) allow you to withdraw USDT on TRX at ~$0.5-$1 fees, so it's definitely possible and the wallet is the faulty party.

In case you don't know what's happening to trust wallet, you need to go App store or Playstore for the reviews users are dropping there. Trust wallet was once known to be a good wallet but the frequent updates from the team behind the wallet has turned scam.
Trust wallet is one of the scam and untrusted wallet we all need to avoid because of the trick the team has been using to steal our altcoins and ask for high fees that are too ridiculous. This is not about glitch but frequent complaints from users that are never resolved.
You may not have access to your coin again if you use your seed phrase on another device to access your fund.

As far as I know, Tron blockchain isn't good at all with trust wallet, I could remember when I can't transfer USDT built network even when I have Tron to be used as the fee. Can't remember the error I got that time but I wasn't enabled.

Tron network fees shouldn’t be that high. And fees for altcoins on the TRC-20 network shouldn’t be that high either. You can check several sources to see the gas fees on the Tron network and get an idea of the cost range. I see that on the Tron network right now, where the fees are currently under $1. And fees for TRC-20 tokens are around $2. So I personally think that what you’re experiencing is just a display issue with the app. And I think you need to update the version of the app you’re using. But you need to be careful not to make mistakes that could lead to losses.

Due to infrequent use, users are reluctant to install a dedicated wallet, especially if it lacks superior features compared to other popular wallets.
To the best of my knowledge, Trust is the first multichain wallet to integrate Energy renting directly without switching interfaces. Users have increasingly no reason to install a separate app.
