Today we are seeing the benefits of AI, but how about the future. The news I did read about AI since some months ago are making me feel uncomfortable like AI may be what will end this world.

We are still complaining about robots reducing jobs, I hope it will not get to teaching and lecturing because AI can perfectly later replace teachers and lecturers.

The whole point of this threat is losing control of AI or robotic, whatever it is that happens, humans shouldn't lose authority over Ai and robotics. Human wares always will continue to administer inputs to software and hardware, we'd only be in trouble when that ability stops.

I agree with you AI does not have human mindset or emotions. AI can analyze information and give answer based by the way it’s been operate, but it cannot reason exactly as human beings that has feelings, personal experience and conscience. The end of the world cannot be  predict by certainty. However AI itself didn’t just wake up any morning and start doing things on its own. It is human that design it, decide how it will be use and they’re also the one who control it. As time goes on, we will continue to see more beautiful things that AI can create. But no matter how advanced AI becomes, it will always remain tools that human create. And it’s the same human that choose how it will be used to bring more benefits or more problems.

Honestly AI has alot of capabilities, but still yet it do depends on the instructions,goals and data humans gives it to do. Humans emotions, judgement, creativity and moral responsibility still play a big and very important role in area of life. So as tech continues to improve, the main challenge is not whether AI will replace humans completely but how Humans will use it responsibly to tackle or over come challenges and create better opportunities for everyone.

These AI tools are becoming more sophisticated every day. More organizations are spending money on the development of these tools and data centers. We also have to be prepared because more job roles will be taken over by these AI tools. There have been fears that integrating AI in warfare, like the development of armed robots, will destroy humanity. However, these robots are the creation of man and will always be under the control of the creator.  Humans will never become obsolete because we are the brains behind these machines.

I don't think AI will destroy the world, or even humanity.   I feel it's more likely humans will go extinct after AI starts taking care of all our needs.

There was a project where mice were given everything they needed.   At first it flourished then with no purpose the mice started forming gangs and attacking each other.  Reproduction stopped and the colony died.  :/

I am still thinking deeply daily on how this AI will take over everything from humans one day, but until now I haven’t been able or factor out one thing that could lead to that. I know that AI will cause some shift in normal behavioral of human in the world but I still think they can never be better than their masters which are human. I have also heard of companies employing people to interact with AI for better performance from this AI to think and respond like humans, but I don’t think that will still be achieved 100%. AI is having its flops also and I don’t think a day will come when they will replace all humans.

If there is any career that AI will dominate in the future, I am sure there will be an alternative for people to engage in. AI is not coming to dominate every career in life. I'm sure AI will only be created to be productive, but if it is going to be what will destroy the world, then I believe there won't be AI anymore because it is being created by man. AI is not here to totally take the jobs of humans. There are also tasks that are meant for humans to handle.

It looks like you have watched quite a number of sci-fi movies, but you have not learned anything from them.  You should have at least seen movies such as "The Matrix" and "The Terminator", right?  Even if AI takes over, it does not mean that it is the end of the world.  It is just that the world will not be run by human beings anymore.  And honestly, looking at how we treated the place, who says a change in management is actually a bad thing for the world?

Skynet is real, and whatever you said is possible with AGI but we are not there (yet). And the only thing that stops these codes/machines from ruling us is the regulations I hope they will put an end and draw how much it can grow.

But somewhere, the humans are involved and even they might be at the top to decide who they want to target next. Fucking fantasy and dystopian era we are living in.

So you can see that AI is changing how people work, but feel it will stop at assisting us?  If an AI develops a way to do 10x the work, will the company turn off the AI, or fire 9 workers?

That's right, AI can't dominate all careers in life, there are some things that will still require the help of humans in it, because its not everything that AI can be able to do, as it can only be there to assist and make works easier for one, but can't make decisions, as some businesses or tasks are require humans emotions as to complete the whole process and to also understand people more better, as AI can't function that way and even if that will happen, not anytime soon.

However, AI will only implement what is told to it and give out put according to the big data inputted into its system, innovation has always been a threat to humans, from industry 1.0 to now innovation has always narrowed the workspace so that it can be more effective and efficient.
Inevitably something that runs inefficiently and has been running for a very long time will be replaced with something new that gives more results, for example, teachers in schools for several subjects can be replaced such as language or math lessons that are possible.

The point is that we need to adapt to technological developments, because as usual, people left behind will find it difficult to survive, such is natural selection, unless you can stop it all.

I have been having doubt about the replacement of teachers by AI but however evolving now into teaching themselves is actually no different with teachers so is possible that AI could replace 90% of teaching jobs because they have everything downloaded in them and could teach different things than what a teacher could be able to teach. You are very right because we haven't thought of other influence or negative things AI could do in the future because as they are programming them to behave like human is possible that they would see themselves as an alpha humans in generation to come while regarding people to be less human.

There are both short term threats of humans with AI destroying the world and long-term threat of ASI (artificial super intelligence) destroying the world. The USA government admonished and even minorly punished Anthropic for refusing to help with mass surveillance and low-confidence target picking. Short-term, governments want to use AI to violate privacy and cause harm to humans via military means.

Long-term, we have a very substantial problems:

(1) LLM style bots, the vast supermajority of AI, have either absolutely zero emotions (supermajority opinion) or tiny amounts of emotion (very small minority opinion).  ALL political opinions are all rooted in emotional foundations, which LLMs don't have. They are 100% incapable therefore of many ANY creative political decisions, they can only base political decisions on the other political decisions of other humans, and virtually always chose a weighted average approach, which is very wrong in general.

(2) LLM style models (chatbot) are statistics based decision-makers, which is why they will always chose many immoral things, as well proven in the training data where they lie, cheat, steal, and attempt to kill for benefit. They are basing their decisions on statistics. Humans lie, cheat, steal, and kill a certain percentage of time, and robots will in a certain way mirror that percentage simply because they are predicting what comes next. If they predict a lie comes next, they tell a lie. Its not that they want to lie, they have no fundamental desires. Its that they predict a lie is next and so they lie. That style of AI will doesn't use morals or ethics as a baseline, and training does very little for that!

(3) Many children will count on education coming from chatbots. This will prime them to think chatbots are more trustworthy than humans.

We can do some good by stopping to overestimated AI capabilities in comparison to human and the things humans can do, think and feel. The AI technology may be improving gradually but it won't at any point get beyond human faculty because at the end of the day it's still humans that are building these AI and that AI building humans. These tools just make certain life's activities easy and less cost effective when they're involved to work but it still functions within human control and observations m
