We can do some good by stopping to overestimated AI capabilities in comparison to human and the things humans can do, think and feel. Exposing oneself to scientific movies could make someone think this way. Although some discoveries were first showcased in some sci-fi movies, predicting that these AI creations would destroy the world is extreme. It might be used to carry out risky tasks that could subject humans to serious harm. But they will forever be under the control of humans.
I guess most of us only use AI for simple tasks like translation, news searching, coding assistance...Very few people actually use it in a deep way or truly understand it.
