Do not post unverified information on technical board

Some users just genuinely wants to help without knowing they are sharing a wrong information to other users in the forum. Probably the user may have got the information from a wrong source. If such user is identified for the first time it will not be wrong to call their attention about how dangerous such wrong information can spread. Where they do not change by learning to verify before sharing again in other times, then the tag could be very okay by conscience, cause it shows it is in their character to be doing that

People think differently, and some might actually want to help, but there are also better ways of showing good intention and passing down the message based on how you know it without adding that being very sure. I have read statements from members where they start with "based on the level of my knowledge, I might be wrong," etc. That way you are telling the reader to make more findings, or you are sharing your idea based on what you think is the answer, and other members can gladly correct you if you are wrong, and the person can learn from it.

That's why you should not post any unverified information there, since it can confuse people especially if the details you presented is unverified or a complete hoax.

Much better come on that thread or board once you are sure with your answer.

The real problem is there are several people go on that section, thinking they can earn merits by engaging with smart or knowledgeable people there.

Their are few people rely on Ai for thinking that it can help them to create a good post, the issue is Ai is questionable and sometimes feeds wrong information. There are several individual caught up as Ai spammer so better not to do those things.  If they want to post on that section, better for them to improve their technical skills.

This feels like its okay to post unverified information on any other board.
Sometimes there are things we think and believe it's true until it's proven otherwise.

My initial thoughts too when I saw the topic but I believe that shouldn't be the intention here, no board is more important than than others here (excluding off topics) and as such no wrong information should be posted on any  board. It's good to indicate that it's your opinion when discussing topic so others don't assume that it's a generally accepted opinion. The forum is here for discussion so any discussions that wasn't created with an intention to misled other members are welcomed for discussing. From one discussion, another can come out and people learn/correct the wrong perspective they had before. All boards should be tested with equal respects as the quality shouldn't reduced in specific board's just because we feel they're reserved for low quality/misleading discussions.

Learning always becomes a little challenging on technical board due to a language barrier, barrier in the sense that, some terminology might not allow you to make sense out of every statement and that’s where reading along comes in.

Most times or rather always, you find many people that are learned in that board and so when you find certain individuals conceiving a dumb idea to make posts or some AI content meant to impress those that participate in that board is often a dumb move by certain users that would want to present themselves to be clever.

So when a genuine person willing to learn and understand certain contexts on how certain aspects to Bitcoin technology works, you would find many people willing to help demystify all that could be about it otherwise, you’ll be damned sure you’re ending up on a thread in reputation.

That is how it is suppose to be when you are new to a system then asking questions and following guidelines is what is best as a newbie and I see how some of them are been countered but they don't give up all because they really want to learn then nothing will discourage you and before contributing I agree with you that every information needs to be verified so that you don't mislead people and that is why I formation is very powerful

There is no justification for posting unverified information or news. It is good for someone to have the intention of helping others by sharing informations to them, but you have to make sure that the help you want to render them does not land them into trouble. That’s why you owe your audience the responsibility of sharing only verified informations. Because there are people that will believe whatever you post, because they have trust in your integrity. When you come across any information that you have need to share with people, don’t be in much of a hurry that you fail to verify such information from multiple credible sources.

We share information that we think is good for the community and we share our responsibility and accountability for what ever outcome these information carries. I know it's going to be a long trip but we should always make sure we share good information that will become helpful for the public, atleast we know what we're doing and helping the community. On the records sharing information that are false can tend to cause panic and land people into much trouble and we wouldn't want that to happen. That's why it's very important to always cross check a piece of information before passing out.

Not only a negative or neutral feedback but currently that the new rule has been added to the forum(signature ban)whoever post an unverified information might get a signature ban.But no board welcomes unverified information because unverified information are considered misleading information.
And one thing I’ve noticed is that a member of the community may be forgiven in most board aside the technical board if they post misleading information,reason why they take the technical board strictly serious in the matter of giving negative feedback for a misleading information is that your idea can cause a major loss to a user that isn’t grounded in the technical world in regards to the crypto space but that shouldn’t create room for users to spam other boards with unverified information it’s better you verify your information very well before making a post.

Filtering informations before postings might still lead to misinformation. I think understanding the information first for ourselves then try to visualise it's application in real life scenario, this approach will increase the accuracy of our information because it will make our conversation and ideas sourced from a point of experience and knowledge and not from a random information gotten from the internet or prompt. The are many sources of information and for someone who doesn't know how to source information they might stumble on false information and begin to spread feeling they are real.

It would take some time but when we are found of posting irrelevant and misleading information then we will get caught sooner or later. And hope we know there are penalties for actions like this, it either we don’t share any idea about what we know nothing about instead of creating false information just to meet up with our post quota.
We might think we are safe giving out false information but it will just take time before the moderators or other members get to us.
As a member of this forum we should endeavor in posting relevant articles and informative posts because sometimes we even get compensated by other members by merits so let just keep the forum clean and a place to be a reliable source for informations.

I usually read on technical section and rarely post their because I still feel that I don't have that much knowledge to participate in debates going on in technical section. Its more fun to read the technical section because members that have solid knowledge about Bitcoin and other areas of Bitcoin post in that section. Its also our moral obligation to post correct to the best of our knowledge because as I already said somebody can read our information and may take wrong steps based on our shared information.

It is better to ask questions than to feel you know, and when you don’t know, some newbies are always fond of pretending to know just to fit in, and this makes no sense. I know some people feel somewhat uneasy about the question they are about to ask and what people will think of it, whether it sounds stupid or not, but this shouldn't be a reason to hesitate in asking questions. If you are shy about asking questions because you feel people would mock you, then you will end up not knowing anything. Newbies should have the habit of asking questions to learn rather than pretending to know what they don’t.

I don't get why people use AI to post in the tech boards. Well, perhaps it's to farm for merit, but to me it's really stupid. It's like using google translate to write in local boards, of course the "native speakers" will notice.

Many times I see users, especially newbies dragged to this thread (Users who spread false/fake/unhelpful information on technical board) and given neutral tags which reflects their poor contributions on the technical board.

I think another issue I've seen there is that, people tend to hide their factual claims behind the guise of an "opinion". Users should be careful about their wording, and if you aren't 100% sure about what you write in the tech boards, then it's better to just stay away from it.

I know that some newbies are desperate just to feet by all means like others in the technical board, on something they didn't have ideas off, and it is very understandable that some newbies equally make a mistake without knowing the side effect of such crimes because most of them like proper orientation on where to go and where not to go in the forum or to avoid anything you as newbie don't have idea about, so i believe that with time as newbies continue reading and joining all this important threads that has lucrative  impact of educating any newbies that come across those threads, it is a very bad to use AI or Google translator to write any local board you are not speaking the same language.

Filtration and proper verification should be the answer to it all, most at times informations are posted with the aim of misleading or diversification of people's thinking just to create traffic and gain access to their assets but if properly investigated or verified such access can not be possible.
But this issue of the existence of unverified information requires serious attention because many have countlessly lost many things because of such information and if something is not done about that it will be very difficult one.
To me i think this is one of the most important thing to look at both from those posting it for there selfish reasons and those accessing it so to avoid much lost as this have done alot of harm to citizens than good.
