SCAM – Thunderpick.io

What happened:
I have been using thunderpick.io for about 3 months. I was regularly betting on esports events - dota 2 and cs2 tier1 matches. During this time I made multiple deposits and withdrawals without any issues whatsoever.

One day I submitted a withdrawal request as usual. Instead of processing it, the casino asked me to verify my identity. I immediately sent all the required documents: a photo of my passport, a selfie with my id, and a utility bill as proof of address.

Shortly after submitting the documents, I received an email from thunderpick.io stating that my account had been permanently closed and my entire balance of 4900 usdt had been confiscated. The only reason given was a vague mention of "violation of terms and conditions" with absolutely no specific details.

I contacted their support multiple times asking for a clear explanation. Each time I received only generic automated responses. No real reason was ever provided.

I believe this is a deliberate scam: the casino waited until I requested a withdrawal, then used the kyc process as a pretext to block my account and steal my funds. I played honestly for 3 months, cooperated fully with verification, and still lost everything.

You aren't going to get any response from the Thunderpick team by taking the complaints to any 3rd party mediators. They don't give any responses to the complaints. You may verify it by looking into the complaints against them anywhere. They only give replies to the reviews on Trustpilot. You should reach out to their DRO team by following the dispute resolution terms 19.2 in order to know more about their decisions.

"Violation of terms and conditions" is the argument most casinos use when they block someone's account. The problem is that they do not provide details, even though anyone whose account has been frozen has the right to know the details of the alleged violation of terms and conditions.

What I find surprising is that you mentioned at the beginning that during the first three months you made deposits and withdrawals several times without problems, so what happened after that? And were the amounts you withdrew at the beginning small?

Most probably a temptation plan to let him feel trust to deposit again and again. Then once he tries to withdraw a considerable sum of money, the verification process begins, and money is immediately confiscated. We used to see this kind of behavior that appears to be claiming more victims. The problem is always the same: users don't care that much about following updates about the reputation of the service they prefer the most. Once they succeed in depositing and withdrawing one time without issues, they think it will always be a safe experience. Pity for them.
