The goal to becoming rich comes from a old age concept that money can buy you a lot of things in this world.

Essentially it is important to become a good human being apart from becoming rich and only then you get that one thing that money cannot buy and that is mental peace. If you have that you can sleep soundly at night and nothing among riches in the world comes near that.

For me the main goal of becoming rich is just to be able to get what I want ,not accessibly to a point I won't even know some of my investment,been able to take of my family, have a beautiful building and business,there is a different between been wealthy and been rich ,but not everyone desire the same thing ,having a good life, getting every necessary things one need and living comfortable is just what is needed,but if others are wealthy to a point of having so many properties that they don't even remember the location,everyone has different desire , because this is what many sees as the ultimate and real definition of riches .

However, the real sense of being rich goes far beyond the amount of money. The first and most primary is the one where you're able to carter for your needs and can afford to sort out all your basic needs without the help of a third party. Rich people has :

The primary objective of all investors is to gain stability financially,  many are blessed with the little that can put food in there table but if not properly managed it can be lost.  Many misunderstood riches for financial stability without knowing both are extremely different from each other, a rich man can become poor if not properly managed but will be very difficult for those that are stable financially to get back to zero. Yes, being rich means you have access to everything, and you can buy and do everything you want in life, as money can also bring you power. Just like you've said, to be able to afford the things me and my family need and want. Aside from that, I also want to break the culture where, once people retire or grow old, they depend on their children financially.
