X and Bitcointalk are not that different.
On X you need engagement, big accounts and the right connections.
On Bitcointalk you need merits, familiar names and some friends around you.
Different platform, same game: attention is the real currency.

X has bots and engagement groups,
Bitcointalk has alt accounts and merit circles...
every platform has its own version of "networking"  Grin

Years ago, reaching Legendary meant people respected your opinion. Today, it mostly means you've been around long enough to comment on everything for a signature campaign.

I find it quite weird asking this, as one can feel very proud and happy about what they have accomplished on one site, only to feel... inadequate, on a larger one.

A few things I have found:

- Ads do not work. They don't even make it to blue checks.
- Follow and follow-back does not work.
- Getting replied to by a large account does work, temporarily. Because unless there are mainly bots who followed you from a given action, the churn rate should be very low.

So the strategy becomes finding large accounts' posts fast enough, and replying to them.

But how? How to measure if a given post will go viral and its worth taking a shot?

Usually cases of virality in X usually are from either popular accounts, popular issues, content hungry post, and accounts that usually post bs or fights other users for clout. Most of the time its usually misinformation and shit posts that attracts people. Some popular accounts in X are actually more on fan accounts that post different random things, others post things like thirst contents too to gain attraction.

it's harder to go viral on x than on any other social media app to the best of my knowledge, but still it can be policed and there's usually a formula for it. Not quite far from what you mentioned about following big accounts and replying fasts but what works most on x is specifically targeting an audience, and they'll do the rest for you from quotes, comments and reposts.
