Your point highlights the sad reality of many countries especially in developing countries because when rules and laws lay down against wealth then justice lost it's worth and many ordinary people lose trust on law system and on government. A country where the wealthy and powerful are given the opportunity to buy the law or the ones that protect it is a country with corrupt officials, because in countries where law is considered more important than the who broke it, there are honest people running the country.

No, the poor are not the only ones for whom laws are made.
The laws are designed to control society as a whole, and wealthy people with connections to powerful positions can still influence them through their position in society and secret information about the laws, which are not available to the common individuals. That's why the law is often applied in a way that favors the wealthy and powerful people.

Everyone in the high office and almost every politicians are corrupt, but there are those who are very corrupt and those less noticeable ones. Meanwhile, wealthy people have the money, connection and resources to find loopholes that ordinary people would never discover. In the present time it has reached an extreme reality, people cannot say what is wrong and what is right. Rich people are abusing the law, if they commit a crime, they are innocent in the eyes of the law, various lawyers are on the side of criminals because they can fill their own pockets.

The rich find ways to maneuver the law according to their will. It's like they can play it, or maybe it's because they can afford good lawyers. Here in our country, I have never really seen a rich guy being imprisoned in a prison for the poor, which should be for everyone. Either they will be in hospital arrest or house arrest. This was a huge problem in my country since corruption in my country was a huge discussion already because of the flood control projects that is already leaks all over the news, it's obviously something that never get resolve even though there are a lot of officials that is already get involved still there where no one gets jailed in the names mentions just because they have money and could easily get out of it, now those names are no where to be found and most of them are reportedly fleed on other countries.

A huge thing was that most of the people who get jailed might as well make a cut on the project and also corrupt, but most of them are just normal people, or maybe let's say mid to upper class, but cannot buy their way out of it. one thing I have always hated, and hated with my guts, we make a salary, and we pay a tax from it directly, right away. So if a company pays your salary, and pays you 20k dollars, and there is 50% tax, then you get paid 1k dollars. Your income is 2k, but half of it is tax and gone on day 1 without even getting it. And yet, if you have a business, you are given a chance to grow and give costs back and then you pay basically nothing. There are billion dollar worth companies paying less tax than people, some even pay none.

So in theory, if I paid 1 dollar tax, I paid more tax than some billion dollar companies. I think that is unfair, while income is surely taxed, I think a bit of revenue should be taxed too, like maybe 1% of it, not much, but revenue should be too, not just income, otherwise they would make up some fake coss and pay nothing and a billion dollar company paying nothing is crazy.
