A processs whereby you generate a new recovery seed for your hot wallet or hardware wallet and instantly fund it is wrong.

That's not a verified backup.
That's a backup based on hope.

Many people might not accept this because they have practiced this many times and nothing bad happened but I have my reason for saying this.

When you create a new wallet always write the recovery seed offline and make sure you wipe the wallet and try to recover using your recovery seed, this is the only way to verify that the recovery seed you have is working.

And this should be done before you fund that new wallet. look at the wallet address and see if it's the same.

Na! This is wrong but if you feel like doing it, that's on you.

The essence of wallet back up or the recovery is to make sure your seed phrase is copy somewhere safe offline and what most wallet does is that they make sure you do it before you use the wallet.

Electrum wallet for example will ask you to create the type of wallet you want, will ask you to create a new seed phrase, or if you have already a seed and then proceed. If you have a seed phrase, the wallet will assume you have a back up but if you create a new seed, the wallet will generate a new seed phrase for you and ask to confirm seed before you can use the wallet. If you do that, you have confirmed to properly backup your seed phrase.

Some hot wallet will allowed you to create wallet and may not ask for backup at that instant but there will be warning on your UI dashboard asking you to back up your seed phrase and asked for seed phrase to be confirmed. Out of that seed words, it can asked for word 2, word 10 and 4 randomly just to make sure you have the seed phrase.

What I do anytime I create a new wallet, I don't send large funds to new address, I make sure I spend test with a small amount to the wallet before I send large funds to the wallet. This looks safe and you don't have to wipe wallet when you create new wallet seed phrase.

What you are suggesting is not wrong, but it's nt neccessaery.
Most wallets don't just give you a seed phrase and then leave it at that. They test the seed phrase. In all the wallets I've used, at the ones I've generated an address, after you enter the seed phrase, the next step is to check if you enter the correct seed phrase in the correct order. They will ask you to input the seed phrase and confirm it. Some wallets ask for all 12 words, while some ask for different numbers of words randomly.
They may ask you to input the 5th word, then next they ask for the 7th word, then the 3rd word.

It's okay if you want to be extra careful and recover the address with the seed, but as I said earlier, it's not necessary. If you copied the word seed, in the confirmation step, you wouldn't have been able to activate the address.

OP concern  may be valid  for his own personal  reasons  but it's not necessary  as it's not like an additional  security  measures, once you create a wallet  and your sees phrase is generated, it's important  that you back up offline to be able  to assess  the wallet  elsewhere, that doesn't  mean that the wallet  may not try to verify if you've back up the seed  phase  by asking  you to verify  the seed, usually it will ask you to input  some of the seed foe example the 2nd and 8th phrase to confirm if you've backed  up the right  phrases. But I feel it's not necessary  to wipe the wallet as it doesn't  make any difference  or add any additional  security, it's just for testing  for typo just maybe. However, your wallet  security  is fully  on you most especially the wallet  that has seed phrases.

Well, because we're talking of money, it mustn't hurt going the extra mile to make sure it's safe.

However, supposing we're talking here of legit wallets, untampered, bought from legit stores or downloaded from legit sources, and so on, I'd say backups are based on math, not hope.

Supposing the user inputs the right words, correct spelling, in the right order, and with all the right configurations, and so on, perhaps there's no reason to cross your fingers. It's cryptography, not lottery.

But, yeah, regardless; even if the math is absolute and deterministic, you're right, since humans are prone to error, might as well test the backup if it truly recovers.

What I do is that I recheck the backup and make sure they are correct with the seed phrase on my wallet. If the seed phrase is correct, I do not worry about anything.

What I do anytime I create a new wallet, I don't send large funds to new address, I make sure I spend test with a small amount to the wallet before I send large funds to the wallet. This looks safe and you don't have to wipe wallet when you create new wallet seed phrase.
I saw someone that did this to me when he wanted to send me money, I did not argue with him for him not to blame me if anything wrong happened, but I have not tried it before. I copied and pasted the address, there has never been a mistake with this before, so far it is the right seed phrase and the right address, I send the money at once.

And this should be done before you fund that new wallet. look at the wallet address and see if it's the same.
You can never be too careful when it comes to storing your coins. That's why it's always a good idea to double check that you have the correct seed phrase for your wallet, although it's not necessary. For most wallets I've created, I write down the seed phrase as soon as it's generated and then try importing it again to make sure i got them correctly before I start using the wallet or sending funds to it.but like I said, this extra step isn't really required. When a wallet is created, it generates valid addresses along with the private keys needed to access them.
Another way to be safe and sure is to send a small amount of coin to the new wallet first. Once you confirm that the funds have arrived and you can access them, you're good to go.The most important thing is to keep your seed phrase or private keys stored safely. If you lose them, you could lose access to your coins permanently.

A misunderstanding in the explanation can lead to misinterpretation by others who have limited knowledge of wallets.
The quotes posted by several people here can serve as valuable input for you (OP), so please don’t take them the wrong way.

Writing down your seed phrase to store offline is recommended as a backup in case something happens that forces you to use it to regain access.
People recommend this extra level of security to protect assets that will be stored long-term. In addition to ensuring your seed phrase is kept in a secure location, the complexity of the words is also an equally important factor.

When you create a new wallet always write the recovery seed offline and make sure you wipe the wallet and try to recover using your recovery seed, this is the only way to verify that the recovery seed you have is working.

The only means that can make your seed phrase or private keys ineffective in making recovery of your wallet is when you fail to copy it accordingly as it was, either you make an omission or you made a wrong spelling to your keys, aside this, there is nothing stopping you from making recovery of your wallet using any of the seed phrase or your private keys.

And this should be done before you fund that new wallet. look at the wallet address and see if it's the same.

Do you have any source to back this up, because I will be hearing it for the first time to perform a practice in this manner, please don't this way then many wouldn't have been using some of the non-costodial wallet because the private keys or seed phrase generated and not reliable

Some hardware wallets like Trezor have the option inside Trezor Suite app to check your seed words and verify they are correct.
This is a good security practice if combined with having actual physical backup written on paper or stainless steel.
Simple double checking if you wrote everything correctly can save you a lot of money down the line, and reduce stress.
