My best experiences betting on World Cup games were on the Mexico vs. South Africa match; I bet Mexico would win, and then I bet on other games where I was right. Everything was going well until I bet on Brazil to win against Morocco and lost.

I confess that after that defeat I stopped betting on World Cup games and took a long break from sports betting. I prefer to only return to betting at the end of August. I've been watching other games and, unbelievably, the results have been very difficult to predict. That's why I'm glad I stopped betting on these World Cup games early.

Best experience has been that the USA won their 1st match by a landslide and the worst experience is this section has had about 30 threads on the subject created. You guys are some soccer nuts

I'm not really a fan of the sport but I know that the world cup is a big deal and lots on this forum love the sport.

My terrible experience is believing that Brazil will win Morocco, that their first legs draw distablized me , I over hipe Brazil team not minding that Morocco team are equal to the task to crown it all it's a narrow escape for Brazil on that very game due to some mistake that would have been converted to goal by Morocco team, if they have applied enough tactics with experience wisdom.same to Portugal all this game cut me off, the surprise experience that US team is performing beyond my expectations above most countries whom I forseen to do better as they are more of footballing nation more than US who are more in basketball and others game to football. Imagine  turkey under performing with their level of football experience, it's hard to get some game prediction on the world cup correct a lot of changes in the teams performance.

Well, I don't have a particular good or bad experience to share about the FIFA world cup, everything is the going the usual way.  I have actually won some few bets on the FIFA world cup so far.

My advice to gamblers, is not to focus solely on betting on the favorite teams, I believe have mentioned in many threads that are related to the world cup discussion.

Football will always be football, the same surprises will see in the regular football leagues can also happen in the FIFA, therefore bet with caution. Don't blindly bet on the favorite teams with doing your own analysis.

My worst experience was definitely the Spain vs. Cabo Verde game. Like half the forum, I put a heavy stack on Spain thinking it was free money. Watching that draw drag on until the final whistle was absolutely brutal for my bankroll.
My best experience was probably hitting a decent live parlay on the USA game after a rough streak. I was actually odds-shopping between a couple of books, including stake and sportbet.one, right around halftime and managed to lock in a surprisingly good line just before the momentum shifted.
Nothing life-changing, but it felt good to finally read a match correctly. Makes the bad beats a little easier to forget for a while.

My best experience is that the defending champions, just like that of the UEFA champions League, are doing very good and may be heading towards their 2nd victory in a row? I'm not an Argentine so you won't say I'm being delusional about my country, but something just feels the same. I might be wrong. I'm not supposed to, but judging from their first match, if the right momentum is used, they may be breaking a new international record for first time in history.

I also enjoy to watch other countries, who in so many years, have not been a part of this competition play in it today. I would never know how good most countries are, if not for the increase in team admission this time around.

Thinking like this, I bet on Spain to win in the first match of the World Cup and I used quite a good amount of money on this bet but in that match, Spain disappointed me because they could not win that match rather they had to be satisfied with one point in that match.

No matter how good you feel your analysis is based on how well you expect a team to perform, don't ever stake money you consider large on a game because you will get disappointed, as you were this time. This is the mistake of most gamblers, which they don't see as a mistake and don't want to correct.

I didn't want to place any bet on the world cup games, my plan was to just enjoy the competition but a friend of mine convinced me to stake on a game he sent and it was going quite well until Belgium had to ruin the entire be slip. I had my first trial yesterday and it was disappointing, I don't think I'll place a bet again.

You had your first trial, but it was still not all done by your prediction. Do you know if you had predicted the game yourself if the result could have been different? Or at least you could have made some edits and changed some of the game choices, which is what I do to some booked games sent across to me.

My first bad experience was losing money on the Portugal game, but then my best bet and best experience in this World Cup was correctly predicting a draw against Uruguay. I knew they weren't going to beat Uruguay simply because I saw it as very difficult; the Cab Verde team hasn't had much confidence. But now, in their remaining game, I'll bet they win; it will surely happen.

During the 2026 World Cup, I didn't bet much on the match. I still only took 3 bets: 2 for Brazil and the rest for Argentina. It was just picking my favorite team and placing my bets; however, I have managed to make a small profit so far. I have experienced both good moment & disappointment during this World Cup. Although One of my surprising bad moments came when I bet on strong favorite team like Brazil (vs Morocco) and Portugal(vs DR Congo). they looked far superior before the start of the match but i know that football is unpredictable. So i safe myself from bad to worst by losing big. Well My good experience came when I trusted the recent champion Argentina(vs Algeria) and some matches like bet on France (Vs Senegal). Well for me, I wouldnt say that I've heard any good or bad experiences in betting on this 2026 world Cup yet, though there are definitely some experiences I've had that I didn't like.

Let me first say that I've won quite a handful of games in the world Cup already, but this are all single bets, and the profits arent applealing or one I should be excited about, I am a kind of person who likes to try to win big from small money, so while I put up a few single bets, I invested much more on parleys or 10 legs and above, but as I type this comment, over 7 different parleys with different betting style and prediction, all have closed with none winning, infact, I didn't even get the opportunity to cash out on any of the tickets, one the ticket with 10 legs won 8 games and lost only two and as such, the money spent on the bet is lost.

This are not a problem to me actually as I wouldn't even have shared if not for the sake of contributing to the discussion on this thread, and now, I want to form another parlay, it is my target to try to win at least two parley with 10 legs minimum ( and 2000 odds minimum) before this world Cup is over 😂

Like you, I bet on Spain in their first match, but didn't bet directly on their victory because the odds were very, very low, I almost always avoid such low odds and choose other options, I took more than 3.5 goals, and failed, in the second match I was a little hesitant to choose that option again, but when I saw the line-up, I believed they would play seriously this time and yeah they succeeded.

Spain and Turkey man,  they killed my bet tickets. The same goes for Portuguese national team who couldn't win against Congo these are the games so far that has ended my ticket going on though. It was for Spain to score two goals in that game and they didn't. They created everything in that game but Cape Verde restrained them until the last minute of the game.

Cape Verde, Curaçao and Iranian national team leave me stunned. Most importantly tue Iranian side knowing how they haven't trained for months as a result of the war and internal insurgency at some point.

Yeah, mine too. Spain and Turkey did but also Uruguay did, and also Belgium did. That was not a good period for me and I think I am going to stop betting on the group games now, and will have to wait until the knock off stage happens. Because while there are of course still surprises at that level, it's a lot less common whereas in group stages we are seeing how teams are not caring as much as we should, and we should not be really considering how things are looking any different on the long run.

We should be seeing how group stages have periods where one loss doesn't change anything, or a draw, and knock off does, so in group games teams do not care that much, whereas in other games we do see them have a different result. That is quite important difference and that's why I will wait.

Thats football for you, you can’t always guess right, sometimes your prediction is just going to be wrong, that’s why we should always gamble with what we can afford to lose, don’t be so confident in any top team, because they just going to end up disappointing you.

Some top countries are not really performing so well in this competition, because I don’t know how Portugal will play draw against DR Congo, and how Spain will play draw against Cape Verde. Some matches result is just surprising, and people are losing lots of money because of that.

Right now am going to say my bad experience is Spain playing draw against Cape Verde, because I never expected draw from Spain in the match, it came as a shock to me.

Nothing bad on my side, because I don't bet often since the competition started. Currently I only have 1 bet that finished in the world cup, it was when Spain beat Saudi Arabia, winning about $52 from that match. It is great bet to between Argentina and France in the final. Other squads have been performing dismally at tournament in recent time. We should be alert of any surprises in the pitch. The 2026 World Cup will have more teams than the 2022 World Cup, so once the group stage is over, the knockout stage will start with 32 teams, then 16 teams, then eight teams, then four teams, and finally the two finalists. Since the group stage is still ongoing, it may be faster to select the two finalists in advance because anything can happen in the knockout stage matches. However, if Argentina and France make it to the World Cup final again, then the result will be more likely to come in France's favor because I don't think any other team can stand up to this attacking lineup as strong as France's attacking lineup.
